My holiday season would be perfect if I was gifted Lily Kate France's Calm down sweater pattern. I love Lily, and her elegant designs make me want to sing.
Oooh, so pleased to be suprised by a Thursday drop...just what I need to keep me company as I plough doggedly through the pile of white acrylic baby blankets I have committed to for a charity thing...thus delaying my own fall plans! Thank you!!!! 😄
Lovely choices! I’ve been wanting to knit something by Moreca knit as well. One note: Bouclé is notoriously difficult to knit with, so this one may not go as quickly as anticipated. I would start it soonish and at least see what the knitting experience is like. You will likely appreciate having a more expensive yarn to work with on this one!
Her designs are so thoughtfully done! That is so true about Boucle-I have only knit with it once before and I do remember having some struggles with it, so hopefully this one will treat me kindly 😅
I used wonderfluff for a big poofy pull over sweater and oh my it is SO soft!! It would be super luxurious as a turtleneck. I have also noticed that it doesn't hold up super well, but I also wear my knits like crazy. For more of a special occasion piece it will be super lovely I can't wait to see how it comes out!
Late to the party, but wow that's a lot of plans! I totally get it though, fall is like peak knitting season and I also feel the pull to cast on all the things! 😄 I did my own little fall plans video a couple weeks ago (SO unlike me lol!), and I have a few things I'm excited to be working on. I'm most excited about and most enjoying working on a new Lento Sweater using some beautiful gifted yarn that is unlike anything I've ever used before and that's going to be my holiday sweater, though just for Christmas because Canadian Thanksgiving has already gone by. I can't wait to share it in my next podcast episode later this month! ♥
Yay! The Christmas dress 2024! Wonderfluff was actually the first yarn I ever used and it is so nice to knit with and the brown color is so beautiful. Good luck with all your big projects this season!
Hi. Not that you need something else for your fall list, but I came across a dress called Taproot by Marie Greene, and it reminded me of you. Not as long as sand cardigan but so simple and elegant. I love all of your plans. It's more than I could think about making but I admire your gumption. I think the Patagonia rose yarn is lovely and not girly girly, even with that sweet pattern. I don't think you can go wrong with any juniper moon farm yarn. Good luck with your plans and can't wait to hear about your Rhinebeck experience this year. Now that you have acquired so many fans, you will surely feel the love. Look what one year did for your knitting life. Amazing and inspirational.
Hi Nora, I wanted to give you a suggestion on the Beatrix Cardigan Button Holes. I crocheted them and they look way better than the sewn ones. I attached the yarn, chained 3, attached the yarn, and then sc 6 into the hole. Done. It was so easy and they look so neat. See if you like it. (Love your show)
I have been eager to see how those come together and wondered if they would be crocheted! I so appreciate the advice and will be very happy to bust out the crochet hook! Thank you!
The Beatrix cardigan is my next cast on! Im so excited to get it started! I’m going to do the LENU hood by Ankestrick…such a fun idea. Looking forward to seeing all your plans come to life!
Always appreciate how you pick such unique patterns. Get a ton of inspiration from your plans. I am now thinking maybe I need a boucle sweater 🤔 love that brown you picked and also see they have a beautiful dark green.
Literally sat down to watch this and I'm casting on a Miles Shirt Jacket! I also am absolutely obsessed with this style. I've been influenced by you to go the dark chocolate route, and I'm making mine in Lion Brand Fishermans Wool in Nature's Brown 🥰
Your list is so ambitious!!! But that’s why I love to watch these knitting podcasts. Living vicariously through your projects ❤ I am trying to finish my Rivendell Pullover this month and then I want to cast on the Erin Sweater by Irene Lin. Also maybe a pair of socks! 🧦
I have so many sock patterns that I've imagined, charted and written, but I am finally also excited to get them knitted up! A sweater pattern I'm really ready to make this season is the Double Date Sweater by Winter's Weather Knits. I have a very bright color story planned which is the opposite of what I normally gravitate towards, and I also plan on picking up mini skeins in autumnal colors of yowza for the Stripe Hype Sweater
Good luck with all your knitting this fall! My goals are to finish my Christmas knits (socks for my in-laws), a sweater for my son, and a musselburgh hat for myself! I'm a pretty slow knitter, so 🤞 I can get it all done!
What a list! 🤯 so excited to see how these plans work out! This fall I’m SO excited to get started on a Christmas red Salty Days sweater 🥰 thanks to you and the Kika pattern code a few weeks ago!
I enjoyed seeing your knitting plans and interesting patterns you have chosen. I have the Miles Jacket pattern and unspun yarn. Maybe. I'll actually knit it this year. Haha! I was overwhelmed by your list, but I'll be cheering you on. 🤗😃
You pick such interesting projects. They all seem to have some really unusual design feature. They look really polished too. I've not got into texture too much, except for cables, but I really like the look of broken rib. I'm using that in the cardigan I'm currently knitting for my dad. He's the first person I'm knitting for besides myself, so I'm excited to get his cardigan made and for him to wear it. I'm also excited to make my first crochet project - a blanket for my mum 😊I hope you enjoy your autumn knits, Nora!
Omg you have 100% figured me out! I have often said I would describe my style as “classic with a twist.” I just love a fun detail! I give you credit for doing the broken rib! I need to give it another try one of these days. Mom and dad are so lucky! I hope they love their gifts!!
So fun to see all your plans! 🤩 I’m rooting for you!👏👏 I’m in full fall mode, and have cast on the Lauder cardigan v-neck from Creabea, and I’m also knitting a fluffy mindless sweater requested by my teen, and trying to self draft an “outer wear” west with a full zipper in the front, and a curved hem not unlike the miles shirt jacket, in squishy garter🥰🍁
Catching up on watching podcasts only to find I got a mention!🥹 I’m currently knitting the Miles Shirt Jacket and cannot wait to see yours as it blossoms and grows! ❤
Amazing plans! I love the colour of your boucle yarn. My dog is a Vizsla and one of my favourite colours is a cognac. I match with her all the time and everyone always comments on it 😍 The Ruth pullover was designed for a very drapey linen/silk yarn. Just be aware that you probably can't achieve the same look with your wool yarn. It might still work out nice but I don't think you'll end up with the look that the designers sample has.
Thank you!! I love that match with your doggo too!! That’s such a good point about the Ruth pullover-I’ll definitely have to swatch and see how that goes first! Thanks for the reminder!
As a Swftie(tm) I'd advise you to talk to your sister about how important this cardigan is to her Eras Tour outfit, because for a lot of Swifties your Eras Tour outfit is a HUGE deal, people spend months planning and making these. Obviously I don't know your sister, but if I was planning my Eras Tour outfit and didn't know until the last minute that such an important piece of it would have to be something other than what I planned, I'd personally be kinda devastated. I'm only saying this because of how you say it's a self imposed deadline and it's fine if she just gets it for her birthday instead, so just check with her that that's the case
Omg you are so right! To be fair, I do think she has a concert outfit planned and it was just a good deadline to get this done for her to wear during her weekend trip to the concert-but I will 100% ask! Thank you!
Yay Im excited for more videos from you. Love all your plans. I have a miles shirt jacket in chocolate brown on my needles lol. But it will be more of a coat in heavy wool yarn. And after that I am all about cables, texture and gift knitting for my beloved grandmother
i’m knitting the seasons sweater by Ozetta in a butter yellow right now, next up is the eva cardigan by Petiteknit in a warm brown with these cool blue and brown tortoise buttons!
Yes, that’s ambitious! I’m knitting the Haru now and just found the easy v wip in a bag from last fall. I’ve got 2 weeks to get those done before Rhinebeck. My first time going…maybe I’ll see you there! I need to pick a pattern to shop for when I’m there. It may be the Ruth, but not sure yet. I want to go with a plan!
I'm hoping to finish the ADVENTure sweat by Dragon Hoard yarns I started it last winter and put it down for the summer, also hoping to cast on the Night Blooms sweater and have it off the needles by the end of the year too
For the Artemisia, I found some beautiful colors from Katia VIP boucle' at my local yarn shop in California. I'm not sure how readily available it is in other parts.
Hey Nora, ambitious list I have to say 😅But, I have basically all my needles occupied as well (at least the one I regularly use) This also why I cannot cast on (or even swatch for) my Jean Pullover, which I am itching to knit (it's going to be my loudest sweater 🥳) . Right now I am knitting on the Book Club Cardigan, a Zipper Sweater, a Sailor Swift Top, Guernsey Sweater Socks and a Vanilla DK Sock. I also plan on knitting a Lauder this year, don't know whether I'll go for the sweater or the vest yet, maybe both??? Warmly Uta
im nearing the finish line on my Fall Favorites by Meghan Regan and im doing ghosts AND cats! dark brown with white figures and bright orange and purple decor✨🎃👻
Love your plans. Nothing wrong with being ambitious! lol. I've added a couple of the patterns you noted to my favourites too. Thanks for the inspiration. I've just started a cabled/textured pullover that I've had in my queue for many many years for my fall knitting and hoping to knit some colourwork this fall as well.
We need you to include some footage of you knitting - i bet you’re lightning fast! I’m also currently using a blown yarn (Novita Halaus) and the fabric is so soft and lovely but the knitting experience is kind of a textural nightmare :0 it really catches on my skin
What’s funny is that I’m really not 😂 I guess I should film myself and let y’all make the call on that though! I’m actually so nervous about that exactly for my dress!!! I should start lotioning now 😂
I'm so excited to see you work on all of these! How fun! I'm hoping to knit the Book Club Cardigan by Sari Nordlund and the Port Jacket by Ozetta, along with some accessory gift knits.
Immediately started looking at boucle yarn to make that sweater when it comes out… I’m totally with you in the love of texture, but wanting a mindless project at the same time.
Love all your picks. Very ambitious but heck you do knit up so much. 👍🏻🎉 I worked up a hood/cowl a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t worn one since I was a kid. A lifetime ago 😂 the one I picked was free. I used Malabrigo washed color Arapey. I wanted something colorful, cheerful when it’s dreary you know.
Rooting for you to achieve all your goals🥰. Setting knitting goals is inspiring. I'm also dreaming about all the sweaters and accessories I want to make for autumn/winter.🥳
I can’t wait to see what you manage to make! I have a tendency to be overly ambitious and am continually adding more projects to my lists, but I’m not great about giving myself deadlines. That means I wind up with way too many WIPs 😅 I should take a lesson from you and try to give myself some deadlines. Also, I think that red Berroco yarn you will use for the Paul cardigan is the same color of Berroco ultra wool I used for one of my daughter’s sweaters. It’s such a pretty color!
It’s so helpful to see the date a project needs to be finished! I feel like I could never manage my WIPs if I didn’t set arbitrary deadlines *cough cough sand cardigan* lol…we love a red moment! Glad to hear you’ve had success with it!!
Wow girl..that's a big list! I really think you've got this organized well so I have my fingers crossed for you. I'm finishing a plain triangle shawl and a No Limits sweater. Both are green and black. The shawl is Spun right round color Caterpillar. I love it! I will totally be looking into the Ruth. I like the idea of the hood. I'm wondering how I could possibly make it and add some kind of thick headband and give it as a gift to my motherinlaw. She will never wear a hat because it flattens her hair. I have a cardigan from ankestrick that has spent the summer in time out so I plan to pick that up by the end of this month. I cant wait to see your skirt. I would love to know how it wears.
Here’s hoping organization will win!! I’d love to try and make the hood a little extra roomy so it won’t mess my hair up 😅 I hope your time out cardigan feels good coming back to the needles!
I did notice they had a nice color selection but lots out of stock recently!! Hopefully it’ll all be back soon!! I hope you love your monto as much as I love mine!
For your red cardigan I was thinking of how you like to add a little edge to your knits have you considered maybe a metal or pewter button style? I am already working on "Vacillate" by Cindy Garland and also a winter season knit called "Winterwald" by Ute Nawratil .... as for your knitting plans the "Ruth Pullover" peeked my interest like you said it can easily be dressed up of down and look super cute I added it to my favorites and maybe one day i will have the courage to knit a sweater (never knit one before)
Ooh I love the idea of a metal button in general!!! I’ll be on the lookout!! I hope you find the courage to knit up a sweater and enjoy your WIPs in the meantime!
I also have a whole bunch of things in progress and in mind for knitting. I’m stressed by picking just one to mention here! My Stripe Hype just needs sleeves, but I’m working on a gift knit sweater first… but that got boring so I started another Ranunculus... and I love the idea of the #BrookClubKAL so I swatched a mosaic cardigan for that… oh and I have an Eva cardigan in gorgeous #NoraBrown! 🧶🧶🧶
Nora you must be some sort of knitting super machine. My fall knitting includes one leith cardigan, a pair of waiting in the car socks and a few super bulky hats for last min gifts that I will have forgotten about until that last min.....I wanted to knit mittens for teacher gifts but then I discovered that I have 5 teachers on the list and that they all have 2 hands ......
😂 I think I’ve just lost my mind!! Your knitting plans sound relaxing and reasonable! Maybe they each get a coffee cozy? Only one per set of two hands! 😂
This week Nora explains she will become a knitting machine and forgo all sleep 😂😂😂 Miles Shirt Jacket is in my queue too!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nora's going to be channeling an octopus this month 😆
🐙🐙🐙 I’m ready for it!!
Yayy! Happy to keep you company !! Hope you manage to get to your personal plans soon

Nora, you are stressing me out with your deadlines!! 😳 However, I am so here for it and I will be cheering you on!
I find them to be so thrilling 😂 here’s hoping we meet them!!
these videos are what I needed in my life!!! Love all of this. I didn't know the poets cardigan was a thing!! I bought the yarn immediately!!
Oh my goodness that boucle looks like the color of an Ewok. I love
Late to the party, but wow that's a lot of plans! Thank you so much! Welcome to the party!!!
Yay! The Christmas dress 2024! Wonderfluff was actually the first yarn I ever used and it is so nice to knit with and the brown color is so beautiful. Good luck with all your big projects this season!

Always appreciate how you pick such unique patterns. Get a ton of inspiration from your plans. I am now thinking maybe I need a boucle sweater 🤔 love that brown you picked and also see they have a beautiful dark green.

Love your videos!

What an incredible list! That dress is going to be so warm and wonderful! 💃 I cannot wait to watch you conquer this list this season!
Here’s hoping we do!!!!
This was a great video! I really like that Ruth Pullover. The A-line shaping looks very forgiving. I can't wait to see your cabled dress!❤🧶
I test knit the Cozy Coco Hood and I looooove it so much!! The bow is the cutest and it's such a fun substitute for a beanie!
Aww yayy that makes me even more excited to knit it!
I looooove all the plans and loose deadlines 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Another Amazing episode, with lots of inspiration 🧶✨
Thank you!! 🥰
i really like the new info slides!
Me too! Nora's eye for design is the icing on the cake. 😊
I do too! So cozy 🤩
I love living vicariously through other podcasts! We will see what actually gets done 😅 I love hearing about new patterns! I have to check them out!!
I have so many sock patterns that I've imagined, charted and written, but I am finally also excited to get them knitted up! Hi Nora. I love that you set dates for projects but you are also realistic about them. Life happens. Love your channel.❤

Thank you!! Sounds like you have some ambitious plans of your own! What a lucky kid you have-best of luck with the vest! That sounds like fun!!
Love your new spooky intro! Dang girl! I guess you won’t be sleeping until 2025! LOL!! 😳
Thank you!! Hahaha…I’ll sleep after the holidays 😂
I match with her all the time and everyone always comments on it 😍
The Ruth pullover was designed for a very drapey linen/silk yarn.
Thank you!
Yessss I’ve been dreaming of a red Paul Cardigan too!! ❤️ I’d love for it to be my holiday/Christmas cardigan! Excited to see your progress ☺️
I am so excited! I hope you get your yours too!!
Yay Im excited for more videos from you. Love all your plans. I have a miles shirt jacket in chocolate brown on my needles lol. But it will be more of a coat in heavy wool yarn. And after that I am all about cables, texture and gift knitting for my beloved grandmother
Thank you!! Sounds like we’re right on the same page!
i’m knitting the seasons sweater by Ozetta in a butter yellow right now, next up is the eva cardigan by Petiteknit in a warm brown with these cool blue and brown tortoise buttons!
Yayy for yellow!! That Eva cardigan does always catch my eye! I think it would be gorgeous in brown!! I hope you love it!
I hope you get them done!! I definitely recommend going in with a plan! It can be super overwhelming. Please say hey if you see me!! 💛
I thought it was Saturday! I'm so happy for a Thursday drop! What a nice surprise 😊
Yayyy! Thanks for being here!
Thanks for the surprise!, Nora! You made my day! Love it all!
Yayy! Thanks for joining me!

Thank you! Trying to manage my own expectations early lol. I’m so glad you’ve decided to dive into your queue!
I should start lotioning now 😂
Hi! Good luck with your dates! I have knit the cozy coco hood, it is so warm ❤
I'm so excited to see you work on all of these! How fun! I'm hoping to knit the Book Club Cardigan by Sari Nordlund and the Port Jacket by Ozetta, along with some accessory gift knits.
Sari’s book club cardigan is so so stunning! I love those plans for you!!! I hope they come out just right!
Immediately started looking at boucle yarn to make that sweater when it comes out… I’m totally with you in the love of texture, but wanting a mindless project at the same time.
It’s such a perfect wardrobe staple!! I literally can’t wait to have it!
Love all your picks. Very ambitious but heck you do knit up so much. 👍🏻🎉

Thank you!! I hope you settle on some fun plans!
ooo...am definitely now considering the Ruth by Irene Lin, even in a more summery yarn, looks yummy. Can't wait to see where your knitting takes you!
I think it would be sooo gorgeous in a silky fiber!! Just seems like a great year round piece!
I can’t wait to see what you manage to make! I have a tendency to be overly ambitious and am continually adding more projects to my lists, but I’m not great about giving myself deadlines. That means I wind up with way too many WIPs 😅 I should take a lesson from you and try to give myself some deadlines.

It’s so helpful to see the date a project needs to be finished! I feel like I could never manage my WIPs if I didn’t set arbitrary deadlines *cough cough sand cardigan* lol…we love a red moment! Glad to hear you’ve had success with it!!

Oh wow didn’t expect a Thursday upload ❤
Surprise 🤗
@@akaNoraKnits a pleasant surprise indeed!!! Loved starting a Thursday morning with you 😇
Kudos on the festive decorations!
Thank you!! 🎃
Knitpicks does a boucle the cola colour looks lovely. I love magdalena parker I'm just about finished my Minto the greyling is next I think 😂❤
I did notice they had a nice color selection but lots out of stock recently!! Hopefully it’ll all be back soon!! I hope you love your monto as much as I love mine!

Ooh I love the idea of a metal button in general!!! I’ll be on the lookout!! I hope you find the courage to knit up a sweater and enjoy your WIPs in the meantime!
Love the introoooo. How fun!
Thank you!
Omg you do have a lot going on!! How fun though! ‘Tis the season for lots of WIPs and all the fun knits! And Nora brown 🥹 I love it!!
@@akaNoraKnits that is an excellent idea!
World of Wool Hoop Boucle in the UK have lots of beautiful warm tones, I'm not sure what the shipping would be for you though. 😍
Ooh I’ve never heard of it!! I’ll have to check it out! Thank you!!
Do you know what weight the boucle yarn is? I don’t see it on the website.
You do not have to block your Rhinebeck sweater. People show up with the sweater on the needles still.
❤
Could the pronunciation possibly be art-tim-ee-zhia with the stress on the “ee?” I don’t know the proper way to write down how to say something…sorry.
That’s way easier to say so I may just run with it anyway hahha
