    My POURING MEDIUM
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
    Paints mixed with my PM:
    amsterdam - oxide black
    Matisse - southern ocean blue
    TLP - mermaid
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)
    paints added:
    amsterdam - oxide black
The wall paint I use for my PILLOW PAINT is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell

THE SPINNER I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single workstep is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

Hello Jessica, As a 72 year old, who is excited to learn of the style of Abstract "Cellism" , and have viewed "Many" versions on TH-cam, I'm very pleased to have landed on this video. Just a bit concerned about cost of this venture, But, as they say, "The Right Tool, for the Right Job". Meaning basically Education of; Materials, Process, and a Smooth Talented Hand. You make it look so easy, and brilliant. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    • @WinterStromArt
      @WinterStromArt  หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you very much, James! Yes, it’s costly especially when you have to find the ingredients and nobody has told you what you can use. If you can get what I’m using, just do it. Saves you some money. The good thing is, you don’t need much. The Aussie Floetrol lasts for months you need a few drops per painting! The Dynasty is not cheap either, but again, tiny amounts are neeeded.
I finally figure out to use less amounts of the pillow, so I don’t waste too much, but that’s a tough one for me. 🤗
Thanks for your comments. All the best!

Hi Jessica, You are such a great teacher. This video was a joy to watch several times over because you have such a way of explaining how things work, why they work, and how they are much like cooking, which make the liquid paint mediums very relatable to cooking and how things need to be the right consistencies for the best outcomes. You have this adorable playful style about you that makes learning easy because your humor and soft voice make it ok to do anything and to play with the paint and see what it does. And most definitely think outside the box 🎉 I love your videos. Thank you so much for sharing and being a blast to hang out with on You Tube.🎨🎨🎶

I found it!! On my TV, I can’t get to the bell and thumbs 👍🏼. I just want to say I Bought the spinner. It’s a work of art !! Jessica, you know how to do woodworking also. German engineering People. We don’t know each other, but support Winter Strom Art …. By not only buying her fab paintings, but that spinner is beautiful. I’m afraid to mess it up with paint! Oh, and did I mention packaged to perfection. Yes I’m half German and I know perfection myself. Well anyway, I’ve been looking for this video, because Jessica you mix your paints differently than I do. Before I use the spinner I will study this. I’m used to thin pearl paintings. This is perfect! Using Physics. Theory of sliding to make cells and less Australian Flo. Which was breaking my bank! I’ve been accepted to an art gallery cooperative, and wanted some different styles. I am very excited about this so thank you Jessica for explaining how you mix your paints, and Everyone….Support Jessica and buy her spinner. You won’t be disappointed! Actually, you’ll be very happy! Next time I sell a painting I will be hoping to buy Piggies!! Love Ya. Keep going!

Had I just bothered to watch this earlier (or paid attn when 1st watched) my swipes would have decent cell action. Cells that will stand up to scooping and dragging. Thanks J!

Hi Jessica, thank you for all your videos. I just love to watch them. I have trouble using the house paint for my pillow. I get too many air bubbles even though I torch it. I notice you don't torch at all and don't seem to have air bubbles. And when the air bubbles pop, I have holes in my pillow. Any suggestions?
