@@Victorian_steam I bought one new in 1988 as well. And now you've got me wondering where it is. I've not seen it in years. Must find it and put it back on display.
Here in the US, both Railroad and Railway have been used in corporate names & sometimes changed from one to the other when a company had a bankruptcy and reorganization. Although born in the California desert I was raised in the southeast where there were the Southern Railway; the Norfolk and Western Railway; the Nashville, Chattanooga & Saint Louis Railway. And there were the Seaboard Air Line Railroad; the Georgia Railroad; the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad; the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. I think the Central of Georgia was one which used both Railroad and Railway during its history. On the overall, which one of Railroad or Railway is used when just kind of depends. (and now I live in the midwest which had the Saint Louis - San Francisco Railway which went from Dallas, Texas, to Pensacola, Florida.)
The room looks great. You might want to line the roof with polystyrene sheets or it will be too hot to be in during summer? 🤔 As for the backdrop on the wall. How about fixing the backdrop to the wall with polystyrene hills, pre grassed and stuck to that to fill the gap?? You'll work it out. Happy Modelling.
Greetings from the States - Hope you make it to the Durango Silverton - possibly the greatest train ride on the world. The last time I was in Australia was 1987 and the entire country was getting ready for the Bicentennial. Also the year America's Cup went to Perth - after you guys cheated - Ha Ha!!! I loved your country and hope to make it back.
Hey mate your man cave looks absolutely fantastic I like the way you have organised everything it looks really fantastic. The only thing I probably would a good idea would be to have a small track in your display to have your train sitting on it would be an idea besides that everything is absolutely fantastic mate well done and by the way if I don't see you have a nice trip to the USA and Canada
Hey mate, your room looks great, well done. A solution to your back drop you could use something called a French cleat to mount it onto the wall. Enjoy your holiday
Magnificent video of the model trains, I like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, liked and subscribed, Greetings from Portugal to Australia.
A suggestion for more efficiency with your heating and cooling. Try insulating the ceiling. Keep's the heat out in the summer and then keep's it in during the winter.
Those Australian Steam Locomotives had in your intro brings back old memories of a video I watched when I was a boy called Steam Alive in Victoria. I honestly think Australian trains are a mix of U.S.A.(my country) and and the U.K. I too also watched Flying Scotsman in Australia a lot when I was a boy. Awesome memories. Nice mancave and train layout.
That really looks great. I can't believe how big the inside of that shed feels.
It really does man!!!
Looks Great mate, good to see more of us Aussies picking the hobby up
Cheers man!!
Great Mancave. I own the Aus Steam 88 plaque too. Mine's number 87 which I bought new at the time... $50 it cost, lotta money in 1988.
Cheers!! Wow awesome !!

@@Victorian_steam It would be cool if you add a 24 inch TV in there with a DVD player to watch train DVDs and movies while you're at it.
