I’m 65 now but if I could live again I would do what you do and build beautiful machines. Congratulations and maybe just maybe one day I will own one of your beautiful machines.

Hi Jan and thanks for sharing these video in which you show us your factory, with some of the people that work and live their Passion and the Passion of Velomobiles.
We can see the quality that is made and the care that is done to yours products.
All this gives us a Great Pleasure and mainly a Great Desire of commanding you one of your velomobiles!!!!
As soon as possible, I will come to you!
    See you, and best regards.
    Forza.
    😉👍👌♥️

What can I say. I have a QuattroVelo (No.124), that you guys made with Allert Jacobs. She is now just over 16 months old, has 3200 miles on her, and still looks as good as new! Creaks and rattles a bit more, (like me :-), has survived being flooded, (running into a very deep puddle at 20 miles per hour in the dark will do that to you); Cold muddy flood water off a field and over your lap WILL take your breath away, literally :-(, with 30 % of my riding in on rough cycle tracks. Still going strong.
Thank you guys for a first class job.

This is 1 of my greatest dreams is to start my own velomobile production plant for the North East of USA, and design my own velomobile. Perhaps soon, after my helicopter arrives, and things settle down with the construction I will have time and money to dedicate to building a plug, and then a mold. Eventually growing in size from my small farm house to a larger building. Ty for the great video, it would help further the development of future enthusiasts like myself with more videos to come of the production processes, and materials used in light composite bodies like these. Keep up the amazing work, and make more videos, perhaps making a separate video for each workers task, and what they like about their job, what they do, and take time to go through each workers steps and tasks, which would be amazing to see.

thats a good ambition to have. Hope it all works out. I Would love to see it happen!
p.s. I believe there is a market for reasonably priced velomobiles. The price of an Alpha 7 is comparable to others out there but still expensive for a bicycle. I wonder if you could get a similar bike into production at a fraction of the price? 5000USD? 7000?
Can i make a few suggestions?
There are cheaper (and potentially lighter with other plus points too) alternatives to carbon fibre that could work just as well. And with most of the cost of a DF being in C.F. and labour, a mouldable material with simple , mechanised processes would be the way to go IMO. e.g. Tegris thermoplastic composite fabric or similar.
If you can afford a helicopter, i guess you could afford the R and D and planning to get a semi automated mini factory up and running. If you could get a one or two piece thermoformed shell to work, wow thats most of the cost there done in one process.
PPS, i also suggest to do the preliminary well thought out market research. What do people want, what is your market, what are people prepared to pay or accept in terms of ergonomics and features?

hello, you are doing a great job which leads me to build such a mobile. So far I have built Carbon Race SUP. What kind of resin do you use when laminating that your employees can do without a mask to protect the chemicals. Does this cause me any health problems?
Keep it up... I hope I can get myself a bike like this one day.
    Continued success. Mahalo

At 1:55 is that "green" or "metallic green"? And in the back, is that "Wine red" on the one with the white bottom? It would be good to add photos of the various colours on the website.

One of my fears about velomobiles is that they are so low down to the road and so at danger from other road users not seeing them, even with bright colours, - I know as a cyclist at car height they can't see us or claim not to be able to. Also cargo, if I were to buy an Alpha 7 or later model where does the luggage go? I would have to tow my trailer and is there a place to attach that? I had in mind long trips that sadly got stopped due to covid and Brexit troubles. I hope in years to come to visit you and buy a model with a view to touring. How do they handle bumpy trails? They look very low at the front end - I noticed this on a video by Velo-Ads (UK) distributor, who's word I take, Jon knows his stuff. And why are they so narrow, I'm 96cm across the shoulders, how could i fit in?

Great! But the workers (women in this video in particular) must wear a mask and eye protection since epoxy resin is toxic and irritant, either liquid or as dust mixed with carbon fiber.
Grozav! Dar lucrătorii (femeile din acest video, în special) trebuie să poarte o mască și protecție pentru ochi, deoarece rășina epoxidică este toxică și iritantă, fie lichidă, fie sub formă de praf amestecat cu fibră de carbon.

Just had a look and it's true. "2. Health effects of carbon fibre exposure
The principal health hazards of carbon fibre handling are due to mechanical irritation and abrasion similar to that of glass fibres. Carbon fibres are easily broken by stretching (by less than 2% elongation); the fibres can easily become a fine dust during cutting, machining or mechanical finishing and can then be released into the surrounding atmosphere. These micro fibres if uncontrolled have a potential to stick into human skin or the mucous membranes causing irritation.
      3. Health effects of solvents used in carbon fibre manufacture
Most fibres have a coating (called a 'sizing' which is often an epoxy or other resin) that can also cause chemical irritation. Many of the solvents used in advanced composite processes are volatile, flammable and irritating to skin and eyes. Health effects typical of these chemicals include irritation of the eyes and upper respiratory tract, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, and vomiting. Visual disturbances may also occur. Repeated or prolonged skin contact with these liquids may cause dermatitis."
      Please stay safe.
