Ha! Never thought of using an old pad across the cylinder so my c-clamp didnt have to go all the way down into the cylinder. Thanks for the idea!

Great video. I was amazed at how easy it was to remove and replace parts on my KIA brakes. I love the fact that the caliper comes off without the pads so a groove in the rotor won't hold it in place. I had a bit of trouble with the rotors but a good hammer helped break them loose. The only problem I have with your video is that you break the #1 rule when working on a car. NEVER GET UNDER A CAR THAT'S SUPPORTED BY A JACK, especially a hydraulic pump jack. You are putting your life in the hands of a few small pieces or rubber. Yeah, maybe you weren't "under" the car but if it fell you might be replacing knees or at least the suspension parts. Other than that it's an excellent video and made me sure that I didn't miss anything.

Thanks for the video. Wanted to check and see if anything was different on this vehicle. Looks pretty routine.

Great. You forgot to mention that we need a completely different tool is compress back the brake caliper, the c clamp is useless in the rear brakes

What if one of the nails that connects with the rotors are already badly scraped? Meaning I cannot twist the screwdriver because the nail is worn out

Manual impact tool that you strike with a hammer.

Never use a wrench to do a sockets job.

Why do you need to manually push back the caliper?

So that the new pads will fit in. The Caliper will be in the position where you last stopped, and you need to make room for the newer thicker brake pads to fit.
