I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis after a laparoscopic surgery and my pain is horrible. So now my Obgyn suggested Lupron to treat the endometriosis, but I’m so scared to take it, i pray that it helps instead of worsening my symptoms 😢 Thanks for sharing though gives me some hope.
I’m getting this shot because they are taking my uterus out, it’s in large and this shot will help it shrink, so that I don’t get stomach surgery, I’m already going thru menopause symptom I just hope I will be ok
I've been off youtube for a while so I had no clue. I'm so happy for you! Congratulations on your family, I can tell you're going to be a wonderful mom
Hi, I’m happy I came across your video. I was on lupron for 4 months this year. My last injection was in July. I haven’t had a period but (tmi) I’m starting to cramp very slightly and have sensitive nipples to the touch. What were your symptoms right before getting your first period ?
Hi! I didn't have noticeable symptoms before cycle returned. I remember Lupron wore off and a month later my cycle "appeared" back again like normal. It was a bit lighter. I hope this helps! 😊 Thanks for asking. 👍
Am 6weeks post surgery and my doctor suggested this same med, am taking mine monthly and am currently on the second shot and having pain when urinating and headaches too, those are the only side effects am experiencing i hope and pray it doesn't get worse. When did you start having serious side effects after taking the shot and where you taking it monthly? Am praying to fall pregnant as soon as i stop taking the med just like you, so am tapping into your grace😊😊
I'm sorry you're going through it! I started having side effects about 2 months after injection. No, I didn't take it monthly.... I had the depot shot at once. Hope this helps! 😊

Hey my doctor is trying to force me to get on the Lupron before my hysterectomy…I don’t want to take the shot. I heard to many bad things about it, I rather do the abdominal surgery…I know it’s faster healing to shrink them than to do the open surgery. My question is are doctors supposed to force this medicine or can they do the surgery without it?
Hi! I don't believe Lupron can be "forced". Only certain medicines like anesthesia are required. Don't be afraid to stand up for what is best for you! Take care 😊
There was a doctor that also had that as a condition even though I told her I had osteoporosis and a history of depression/anxiety , other than that she seemed an excellent doctor and I was truly (or still am ) having issues and needed (or still need) a surgery urgently , I've 2 blood transfusions 3 intravenous iron which btw if you do it too much it might end up in a kidney transplant etc. She however had to go on maternity leave hence could not do the surgery, she referred me to another doctor to do the accessa procedure, at first he recommended hormones when I said no he agreed to operate without the use of a single hormone, they only thing I asked for was that this was solved in a way that brought me peace and hormones was certainly not the way,she leaving for maternity leave was a bleasing in disguise, it truly was, back then I had not seen this videos, be your own self advocate there are doctors and options out there to suit your needs
To answer your specific question depends on the doctor by law every doctor can chose not to treat a patient unless is a life or death situation , so even they can't literally force you to take the shot if they refuse to operate , that's de facto forcing you to take the shot as it's a condition for the operation and they are not obliged to operate on you My advice look for another doctor of the 3 doctors I've spoken to one category refused to do the surgery without Lupton another one was extremely upset but was willing to do the surgery without it , the other one recommended hormones but when I said no he agreed to do the surgery after a tad of persuation btw minimally invasive generally speaking you don't have to sacrifice the type of surgery because you refuse to take hormones, dépends on the mioma size type and location though again be your own self advocate take care
I have ovarian cysts endometrioma and the doctor prescribed me Lupron 3.75 mg for 6 mos.. If I may ask did what supplements did u take while on Lupron?? Did u experience joint pain? Thanks
I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you recover well 🙏 I don't recall taking any supplements during my Lupron phase. I did take medication that helped with the hot flashes towards the end of the phase (I mentioned in the video) I didn't experience joint pain either. I experienced terrible hot flashes, nausea and tiredness! Feel free to ask any more questions! 😊
No! I didn't have high blood pressure. The medicine my doctor gave me treats both high blood pressure AND hot flashes due to menopause.....which worked great with managing the hot flashes on Lupron. 👍 I'm so sorry you're going through this! Hang in there! 😘🙏
@@LifeWithBerylanne that’s nice to know! I took my first dose once every 3 months but I don’t think I’m going back for more watching these videos have me scared now🥺.. really wish I would’ve read up on this before taking the shot
@@LifeWithBerylanne thank you for responding, I don't have fibroid but have endo just concerned about the likelihood of permanent menopause state by the meds ..but as long your body comes back to normal The doctor recommends the meds before iui
You're welcome! 😊 My doctor explained to me that Lupron may take a while to metabolize out of the system....it's very persistent! I hope you recover soon 🙏
Omg thank you for making this video it has helped me because I just got my shot yesterday

I also came off this medication and my periods are still irregular 😢. I'm ttc
Do you mind sharing the reason you were given Lupron injection? 😔
@TheHelpmeetJourney I had myomectomy too so I was on it to shrink fibroid prior to surgery

How long did it take for you to be pregnant. Am on my second months of my period returning. Hopefully I get pregnant as soon as possible.
I fell pregnant about 2 months after the lupron injection wore off. It will metabolize out of the body's system. I hope you fall pregnant soon! 😊

Did you have high blood pressure?! The reason I’m here is becoz I’m in my send month and the side effects are crazy

On which day of your periods did you took first shot?
I received the injection shot after they completed the myomectomy, at the hospital. Thanks for your question! 😊
Are you still feeling side effects?
Nope! It's gone! My side effects went away after 6 months after the injection (in 2022). Thanks for asking! 😊

How many shots have u taken? 3 or 6?
