Praying for your dad…. My husband goes in for his first surgery Thursday… prostate cancer…. And a mom with stage 2 Alzheimer’s with pretty bad dementia…. They should have taught us these things in primary school… how to cope with the pains of aging parents… it is just heartbreaking…. God bless you all, and thank you for a fun light escape ❤️

Hi Emily I’m currently undergoing chemo treatment for breast cancer I just did 2nd infusion yesterday. Everyone is different but it seems like it’s almost harder for loved ones because you wish you could absorb the fear or the pain in my personal experience I have not had any discomfort or pain that could not be easily managed and move about the day as mostly normal. Sure I’d rather not feel nauseous or tired but you take meds rest and it’s ok. I honestly wish the best for your dad and any other viewers reading this message dealing with chemo treatments. It’s not fun but we can do it.

I’ve been following your TH-cam channel since it aired. I know the cancer you’re Dad’s been diagnosed with when you mentioned it in a video one day. It resonated with me because I was diagnosed with the same type in 2018. There is a Facebook support group for that particular type that you can join. I recommend it because it’s been a valuable resource during my own chemo and still is to this very day. It might help to put your mind at ease about some things. And I’m sure, due to privacy issues, that you don’t reach out to your viewers; however, I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I wish your Dad strength and your family love as he continues his treatment.

I had to replace my washing machine and now the new one is leaking, my AC is shot so with out any and I live in South Florida and had a trip to the ER with a kidney infection. I have very long hair when I’m applying makeup I have my hair pulled back with a scarf protecting my hairline because I don’t want to see makeup on my hairline. There’s no way I could apply makeup with my hair down it would get in the way and makeup would get in my hair. Thank you for mentioning this.🤗
Laughcrying is the best!! It usually happens when you're a little fatigued and there is no turning back. I do that with my three sisters (we all do it) and I was delighted to realize that my daughter does it now, too. SO much fun!
the beauty of "there's something for everyone"! i tried the nyx bare w me you mentioned and it would not work for me no matter what but funnily enough after swatching so many fails at ulta i settled on the lancome serum concealer bc it was closest to perfect & didn't accentuate my dry skin (and only had to pay $6 bc of some exchanges i made) ! i think the liner looked great on your waterline, it's a big preference thing for each person. your videos are always cozy and stress free and you create gorgeous, effortless looks. much love to you emily❤️

Sephora etc. were very late getting to my state in Australia (2010s late) so all we had was 2 department stores and it was all the "old school" high end stuff like EL, Chanel, Dior etc and we'd just go in there and admire it. When I got my first Dior product I though I was IT. Sucked me in many a time with those free gifts!

On the road again. Decided to use the mabelline 4 in 1 as a primer, L’Oréal hydrating serum foundation, camo hydrating concealer and fit me powder then the Pore fessional super setter spray. Great combo!!!❤💄
I use red, burgundy eye liners in my waterline alot,. An get compliments on my brown- hazel eyes quite a bit! An my eyes are light brown too.. luv the look Emily!❤❤

I agree, it’s so annoying when content creators attempt to apply makeup and are in constant battle with their hair or they are constantly playing in their hair. I just exit out. I also exit those who constantly use the word obsessed! Really? Obsessed? Perhaps I’m to literal with the word but… just my two cents. Keep up the good work!💕
A little blush goes a long way - I don’t want people to look at me and say, “Look at all that blush,” but, rather, “her face looks really nice.” And, you’re correct, keeping the blush not going past the middle of your eye, and not putting it so low on the face, gives off a more lifted look. You have plenty of eyebrow color already - you could get by with only an eyebrow clear gel.
OBSERVATION: The huda powder immediately dried out your under eyes and made a bunch of little aging lines appear that aren't usually there. You haven't done a on drug store in awh🎉so I really appreciate it. I always like when it's at least a 1/3 of your videos again.
Hi Emily 👋 I get what you're saying and I definitely agree. My prayers for your dad and your family. I know what it's like to lose a beloved parent. I will say though that it's easier to have this mindset when you're in a loving supportive environment and have financial stability. There are individuals who don't have a loving supportive environment who worry about whether they have the financial resources to support themselves and their families. I was just putting the dishes away the other day after dinner and reflected on how grateful I was to be able to share a meal with my boys and their dad who happen to be visiting and I know this may not seem like a lot to most people but I'm truly grateful. I may not have the white picket fence but I have my boys who I adore and whom are everything to me and I'm grateful to have a roof over our heads, food to put on a table and warm beds to sleep in. When I think about what's going on in Gaza and how many parents literally have to worry about their children's safety and whether they'll even survive it certainly puts everything into perspective and it makes me that much more appreciative. At times we forget how truly good we have it because we're not having to be preoccupied with literally surviving. I can't even imagine having to raise children in the poorest of city neighborhoods where drugs and violence pervade the streets.
Lacome foundation was pretty on the face. My mom wore the lacome powder foundation for years. She loved it. That smell of the powder foundation was my moms smell. I have one of her compacts in my purse to remember her by.
Emily, I really do think you are the best instructor on youtube. I watch several ladies who demonstrate makeup application, but no one makes it as relatable and understandable as you. What color eyeliner would you recommend to your mom, i.e., those of us with hazel/green eyes? thank you again for your videos.
You can look at a color wheel to see what color is opposite of your eye color. This will tell you what colors you should wear to make your eyes pop. Hope that helps if Em doesn’t see your comment 😊

Yet another hidden gem discovered by watching your channel, which has become years without me realizing! ☺ I agree with you on the mindset change - all we have is the now. As far as your Dad's condition - I spent a lot of time with both parents when they were going through treatment. My Dad told me stories about before he married my Mom. My Mom and I had some repairing and bonding. Spending time and just being with them, meant so much to me and them. I am thinking of you and sending you much love and hugs.

A little blush goes a long way - I don’t want people to look at me and say, “Look at all that blush,” but, rather, “her face looks really nice.” And, you’re correct, keeping the blush not going past the middle of your eye, and not putting it so low on the face, gives off a more lifted look. You have plenty of eyebrow color already - you could get by with only an eyebrow clear gel.

OBSERVATION: The huda powder immediately dried out your under eyes and made a bunch of little aging lines appear that aren't usually there.

I get what you're saying and I definitely agree. My prayers for your dad and your family. I know what it's like to lose a beloved parent.
I will say though that it's easier to have this mindset when you're in a loving supportive environment and have financial stability. There are individuals who don't have a loving supportive environment who worry about whether they have the financial resources to support themselves and their families. I was just putting the dishes away the other day after dinner and reflected on how grateful I was to be able to share a meal with my boys and their dad who happen to be visiting and I know this may not seem like a lot to most people but I'm truly grateful.
I may not have the white picket fence but I have my boys who I adore and whom are everything to me and I'm grateful to have a roof over our heads, food to put on a table and warm beds to sleep in.
When I think about what's going on in Gaza and how many parents literally have to worry about their children's safety and whether they'll even survive it certainly puts everything into perspective and it makes me that much more appreciative.
At times we forget how truly good we have it because we're not having to be preoccupied with literally surviving.
I can't even imagine having to raise children in the poorest of city neighborhoods where drugs and violence pervade the streets.

Lacome foundation was pretty on the face. My mom wore the lacome powder foundation for years. She loved it. That smell of the powder foundation was my moms smell. I have one of her compacts in my purse to remember her by.

What color eyeliner would you recommend to your mom, i.e., those of us with hazel/green eyes? thank you again for your videos.
You can look at a color wheel to see what color is opposite of your eye color. This will tell you what colors you should wear to make your eyes pop. Hope that helps if Em doesn’t see your comment 😊

Good morning Emily! I had to put you on "hold" and get more coffee.....My absolute favorite brush (and I have some expensive brushes!) is the Elf duo-complexion brush. It's a one and done. Yet another hidden gem discovered by watching your channel, which has become years without me realizing! ☺ I agree with you on the mindset change - all we have is the now. As far as your Dad's condition - I spent a lot of time with both parents when they were going through treatment. My Dad told me stories about before he married my Mom. My Mom and I had some repairing and bonding. Spending time and just being with them, meant so much to me and them. I am thinking of you and sending you much love and hugs.
