@@sabrinaanderson5741for the UK we don't have Persona, LAWLESS, Buxom, Almay and Hard Candy. We have an extremely limited range for Flower Beauty, only the years old products. WetnWild, ELF and Milani are also more expensive than in the US and you can't get the full range. Milani is double to three times the price depending on product as well. It was very fun seeing viewers participate in the Emily Awards. I really loved seeing a more mature woman in one of the videos. I am 70 and I love makeup. I love watching you and love many of the looks that you do. My faves are the neutrals.
Am I the only one who enjoys when the blending out foundation and concealer aren’t sped up? I genuinely love watching that specific part of the makeup videos😂
If you are pale, the baby got bronze in the shade Moon Dust is a fantastic contour shade, nice and cool-toned. The baked blush in Goldy Cassis is also a great wintery just in from outside natural flush kind of color on pale skin.
I have light skin with a cool undertone and am always drawn to more cool tones for most things like blush and eyeshadow etc. My two favorite color ways for the Essence six pan palettes are Taupe it up (which funnily enough is cool, gray toned palette. Not taupe 😂) and the other is “I like to Mauve it, Mauve it. The shimmers are way more “punchy” if you apply them directly to the eyelid with your finger. Love these one brand tutorials. Thanks, Em!
I adore the Essence 6-pan palette in green, even though I'm not usually a green person. The shades are really neutral, khaki and brownish greens. Really beautiful!
The Essence sticks are DEFINITELY better if you apply them to the brush instead of swiping on the face. Much easier to apply and looks much more even! ❤️
Hi Emily! I loved how in one of your Emily Awards videos how you said you love getting to do something you love and having a community who feels the same as you bc it’s not easy to find someone walking down the street who cares to know about setting sprays. I loved that bc it’s so true. I love makeup and I really am the only one who I know who feels that way too. I just love your channel and just who you are as a person! Truly you are such an inspiration. Also I almost forgot about the peppermint/swiss chocolate glossier lip combo from last year you recommended to make your own peppermint mocha lip concoction! That’s all sorry for the essay. Have a great Christmas break with your family!
Hi Em!! I just want to let you know VaniCream is a freaking LIFE SAVER. I use it as my daily moisturizer and experiencing my best skin yet. Also, the Emily Awards were amazing!! I loved all the cameos from other "friends" ☺️ And super excited about this video!!! Have a great day Em!
@@onlytruth247 It is amazing! I have eczema which doesn't really flare often, but I'm reactive to anything with Oatmeal in it. So this is PERFECT for when those flare ups occur.
Essence is in my top 3 affordable brands. Those little blushes are the 1st blushes I would repurchase if I lost all of my make-up. I thoroughly enjoyed this video Em.😊
I love the purple lash princess, I don’t think the green one does much but my new favourite is the Essence Lash without limits. OMG it’s awesome. It gives length, separation & volume. The wand is actually smaller than the one you were using so you might prefer the Lash without limits mascara.
"They say it's a silky lightweight texture..." I thought you were still talking about the snow and thought 'wow they're pretty detailed about describing the weather down in the us' haha
You need to try the Pacifica Dreamlit Glow concealer (can also be found at Ulta). I know it sounds random but they are SO impressive… very comparable to the NYX bear with me but more coverage. Also comes in a pretty pink glass(!) bottle. The only problem is the shade range. I have to combine the first two shades. I need more people to know so they don’t get discontinued.
Your genuine excitement when you thought it was going to snow was so sweet! Love these one brand tutorials. ❤ (Would love a one brand tutorial on Pixi)
OMG! Y’all remember that 80’s song, “we are family, I got all my sisters & me!“From Sister Sledge or something Well, as soon as I saw this video in my feed & just as I opened it, I started yelling, “we love Emily!“ With the same music as, “We are family“❤😂
My CVS pharmacy carries Essence. They don’t really have a huge variety but I have bought some eyeshadows and blush. I liked what I got and the prices were unbelievably reasonable. I definitely recommend giving Essence a try. I loved the look you created❤️
I literally turned 60 years young on the 9th of this month. I still love makeup. I love watching you because it’s fun and informative. Stay authentically you! What eyelash glue was it that you mentioned was usual?
I love buying those 6 pan eye palettes for travel or in colors that are a little out of my comfort zone for experimenting. I really like the rose one and the green one.
I personally love a lot of the powdered products from this line but be warned the plastic pkg will break before you hit pan. For this reason I would not recommend traveling with any of their powdered products. Although the baked powders do have a slightly better pkg. Still not a deterrent for me to buy the product.
The earthtoned Blooming Wings eye shadow pallette is my favorite! It is very pigmented, blends beautifully, and lasts all day. I also regularly use the Hydro Hero primer, Stay and Play eyeliner pencil, and the Make Me Brow mascara. I do like the baked blushes too and I use the banana powder to set under eyes and t-zone.
The Essence Nude Highlighter is my ride or die!! I use it every time I wear makeup. I have almost every one of those blush shades!! I very much appreciate those two items the best from Essence for me…🌸💕🩷
Love both essence and catrice. Catrice eye brightener is great! As for essence: pretty natural foundation, lip glosses, gel eyeliners, lip liners and lipsticks and brow mascara are so nice.
You look like Snow White ... so pretty! Great video! I enjoy Essence--I have it on my cheeks and eyelashes today. I use the Glow Recipe Niacinamide drops ... but instead of watermelon, I always think it smells like jalepeno peppers--maybe the Essence version smells more watermelon-y.
HOW?? I watched the whole video AND... Im absolutely AMAZED how you can apply such an affordable line and make it look EXPENSIVE and GORGEOUS You are STUNNING
I am fair & love bold eyeshadows, esp purples, berries, pink... I have a good size collection of palettes from Essence to Urban Decay. But I swear, Taupe it Up is my all time favorite, can't live without palette!!! I also bought Mauve it Mauve it, My Rose Will Go On, Ice Ice Baby and Dancing Greens. I only bought Taupe because of the sale I got it on. I thought "meh". Who'd have thought it turned out to be my favorite! Not bold obviously, but a gorgeous, kinda natural/kinda glam young look. Truth be told, I do add a darker color from somewhere else on the outer corner for depth. I've used dark blue, purple, black ... And use the darkest color in the palette with it. And btw, I love the formula too. 🩶🩷💜
Really appreciate this focus on Essence, Emily. Video idea: an overview of brands that are inclusive of shade range. Sometimes this is mentioned in passing, and more information about this would be helpful to many people. Thanks for another Emily Awards season- you da boss!!
❤ the Dancing Green palette from Essence and the Lash Princess mascara, the purple one with the curved wand is excellent and my go to these days. Thank you for featuring Essence Emily! 😊👌🏻❤️
I love Lash Princess. Essence blushes are also my go to blushes. I love both the regular and the baked blushes. Goldy Cassis is my favourite shade. I also adore the cranberry lip oil, which can be difficult to find at the two stores we have in Canada that sell Essence. I keep meaning to try the lip glosses!
I absolutely love that Essence Brighten Up, especially for under the eyes. You can’t beat it and the price is unreal for comparable powders, this or the Rimmel Stay Matte.
Speaking of Wet n Wild eyeshadow, just rewatched your "Eye remember when" ( I think) on the Comfort zone palette. I think it was the old 8 pan. I wondered if there was anything on the newest version (white packaging). I'm hitting pan on the 10 pan(black packaging). In any case would love to see that series back. The Emily awards this year were well done as usual!
Essence used to have a foundation called Pretty Natural and it was fantastic but of course I think it was discontinued. The Make Me Brow is good too. Smaller wand.
I enjoy a number of Essence products, especially their mascaras, Double Trouble water proof. I have the That's So Taupe palette, fast and easy. I keep small rubber bands and notebook binders on hand because the packaging is not as good as the product inside.
I'm glad you mentioned the scents in some of the products. The last 2 things I bought from them (the powder foundation and the eye makeup remover) both had odd smells about them that put me off - and I'm NOT sensitive to scents. It's kind of deterred me from getting anything else Essence.
My latest Essence find is the Extreme Care Hydrating Glossy Lip Balm. It's so buttery and moisturizing on my chronically dry lips. I wear the Baby Rose shade alone or over other lip products. The Milky Cocoa shade is definitely on the brown side of nude, it probably looks amazing on deeper skin tones than mine. I like the Stay & Play gel eyeliner, and I find their powder/baked blushes and Pure Nude highlighter to be reliable staples. I disliked the Lash Princess mascara; I will try your recommended one and am eager to try the Glow Serum Primer. The Banana Powder looked yellow and seemed drying on me. Yeah, the Essence packaging could be better, but I guess I'm happier with higher quality product than paying extra for upgraded containers. Thank you for the video, Happy Holidays.
, so you could mix in some of the LA girl color corrector to make it a little bit darker that might be a good idea for a video to show us all how to use the color corrector from La girl to correct any foundation that may be too dark or too late
Hey Emily! I love this video - it's nice to stay within just one brand; it's easier for my short attention span to follow. Favorite Essence products include their powder foundation, lightly dusted on over my tinted mineral SPF. Also love the Salut Paris eyeshadow palette for when I need a lighter, softer look than my normal dark & smoky eye. Thank you so much for the video, and for the reminder that there many things to celebrate in this holiday season!
I love it when you comment on how much you love snow! I also love snow. I grew up in Wyoming and I'm used to having big winters with big snow and lots of cold and now I live in central Ohio and for some reason, central Ohio barely ever gets any snow and only sort of cold, and it's so depressing! So I can relate to you when you get excited you might be getting some snow or cold weather, and I love that because I'm sure you've noticed, most people don't feel the same way we do LOL😂❤
Hi again, Emily. I just noticed your little note about that piece of lash stuck by your left shoulder. It looks like a spider 🕷. I just laughed so hard 😅. Thanks for making me smile 🎉.
I love watching your videos as you're passionate and genuine, it always comes through. I appreciate the thought and effort you put into your content! Happy Holidays and wishing you and your family the best!
I have all the 4, 12 eyeshadows palettes: Welcome to Marakesh, Welcome to Miami, Benvenuti A Roma and Welcome to London. Have you seen these? I would of love to see you use one of them. I also have all of the 6 pan eyeshadow palettes and I really like them. They are my go to palettes when I don't know what eyelook I want.
I especially love these video about really affordable products, in particular Essence and Catrice since it's easy to find these where I live. I am also really curious if you like the Catrice Undereye Brightener and how it compares to similar products you've tried!
Hi Emily from the perspective of super dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone skin it’s a hit and miss brand - however it is aimed at teenagers tbh. There are a few gems worth mentioning eg automatic liners, make me brow, blushes and lipstick but I have never liked any of their complexion products (shade range has improved but still not the best, matte formulas and not enough hydration). The scent can be overwhelming also in some products. Their powder products are usually fine eg face powder or eyeshadow (my two faves of those six pans is the taupe and mauve options with the green being something I also enjoyed, but I am cool toned). The packaging breaks a lot, but it’s cheap packaging to keep the cost down and not built to last 😂. Overall they’re worth a look for primarily colour cosmetics for dry skin skipping the complexion products. Best wishes x
I have tried lots of Essence products over the years. Some of my favorites are their mascaras (I use the Bye bye Panda Eyes almost daily), the pure nude highlighter, their Blushlighters, and their blushes. I've also really enjoyed some of their skincare and their nail polishes.
I totally agree with your comment about premixing the two foundation colors. Ochre seems way to orange on you (unless it's the lighting) and it set down so fast on the outer face. Luckily you can make anything work!
I can’t wait to see what you review in 2024! ❤❤❤ I know your birthday is coming up so I just wanted to wish me a happy (early) birthday Emily and I feel you about territorial cats and getting them to the vet lol.
Hi Em! I have so enjoyed the Emily awards. I really liked the way you did it this year with your followers participating in the process I have tried Catrice products that much. I have used their setting spray and an eyeshadow palette ( the size you have ther) and I believe that the name of it was taupe me up and I do enjoy using and the shadow lasts on me at least 8 hours. Hi Bitty! Love you Em!!❄️❄️❄️☃️☃️☃️🌲🌲🌲💄💄💄💄😘
I love when you do Essence and Catrice because I live in Europe and both those brands are readily available in stores
How nice!
And because they are made in Europe, they are cruelty free!
I'm just wondering what is not available makeup brands in Europe?

The Essence eyeliners are holy Grail status for me, and have been for over a decade. Even in the waterline, they stay put!
The twist up ones, specifically. They're called Long Lasting Eye Pencils. and the Stay and Play gel liners are fabulous too.
I missed the Emily Awards while traveling. I am going back to watch them. I’m a viewer from Paraguay😊
I love the Essence lipsticks in the white tubes. My go to's....
Yes absolutely, the Pure Nude baked highlight. Literally use everyday for years. Zero sparkle or shimmer, just dew. Can be subtle or built up a bit.

A staple item for me from Essence is the Blush in the color Bespoke. Gives a little warmth to my skin.
Yay!! I suggested Essence too! In Michigan you can find this brand at Meijer as well!
, so you could mix in some of the LA girl color corrector to make it a little bit darker that might be a good idea for a video to show us all how to use the color corrector from La girl to correct any foundation that may be too dark or too late

Looks beautiful, I want the eyeshadow
Love how this turned out, beautiful!
Love the essence powder foundation!!! ❤
Hi Em! I have so enjoyed the Emily awards. I really liked the way you did it this year with your followers participating in the process
I have tried Catrice products that much.
