Another gold mine of information, Cassiy. “Mining” by watching your videos more than once and reading your replies to comments saves me TONS of time as a new seller. HUGE value, thanks so much! I am just setting up my store. I live in Portugal as an expat from the US. Here I have to get a special document to open an business account with my bank - more hoops to jump through getting started for sure. So, working on mockups and backend graphics while waiting for financial aspects to come together in a foreign country. The detail of your content is stellar. So grateful to have found you! I really didn’t think I needed mockups of “back of T-shirt” until I watched this video!
Great video packed with awesome information! I've been using Swift POD as their shipping time has been 3-5 days faster than MD and the color choices are much greater. Using B&C3001 and Gilden5000 so far.
I’m confused, in your video on t-shirts not sell you said to not use any smiley faces because they were all trademarked. Though you don’t talk about the designs on this video having these designs on the shirts could tempt you followers to use them. I’ve learned so much on your videos and look forward to them every week. Thank for being such a professional in your delivery.
I sold my first Gildan 5000 with a back design and got my first 4 star review. They didn't leave any feedback so I'm not sure what made they knock off a star. Some people suggested that it could be that since it's 100% cotton it's not soft enough. But that's just a guess.
Sorry that happened Shannon! I send all 4 star reviews a message like this " Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I saw you left only 4 stars though, please let us know if anything at all was wrong with you item. If there was, please send us a photo and we are more than happy to make it right for you! Thank you for supporting our small family business, Shannon" See if they message you back and tell you what was wrong with it or what they didn't like! Some people just don't think anything deserves a 5 star review so try not to overthink it!
I have shipped to Canada and received items from Canada and they actually come quicker than you think. It’s not like it’s coming from overseas since we border with Canada. Just FYI for those that are nervous about getting items from Canada.
Hi Cassiy! All your videos are extremely valuable, I'm so glad I found your channel and I don't need to go anywhere else! :) I do have a question - when you sell the Gildan 5000, do you write in the description a suggestion to get two sizes up, assuming you're selling them as oversized shirts?
Yes exactly, I forgot to mention that in the video and regretted it later! I'd get a size chart that explains to size up, maybe even a photo card that explains it as well!
Thank you again Cassiy! I just added tshirts today as I’m in Australia and spring has sprung 🌼 😁 So happy to hear you love the Gildan 5000 as that is what I have chosen. I can only get B+C from USA print providers. It can be so confusing as I’ve seen reviews where customers mention “oh the tshirt was only a Gildan!” 🙄 like they have high expectations, but I also believe that tee gives the best oversized look. Thank you so much for sharing. Loving your videos. Your the best 💜🦋🌸😊
So glad you enjoyed the video! Yes sometimes people don't like Gildan brand shirts but you can't please everyone lol Thanks for the comment and support
Glad I could make this review for you Bethany! I am still doing the 3001 shirts for my regular front designs but mainly using these for the oversized looking shirts and with the designs on the back!
Thank you so much Cassiy. It is very helpful to see your products reviews and analyzing process. Love that you show this part of things and learning a lot from you. Would you please do products reviews on sweatshirts and hoodies? I'm very skeptical about Gildan 1800s if the print quality is any good. Would love to add them to my store. Appreciate your time and sharing valuable information with us 🥰👍
I did a full review of 8 print providers total, here's the link if you haven't seen it yet. I review both of those companies! th-cam.com/video/TEidvONm7Z8/w-d-xo.html
Such useful info! thanks! Do you have plans to do a comparison video for baby bodysuits? I'd love your opinion on them between printful and different print providers on printify!
Hi Cassiy, thank you again for this review! As always you bring true value to newbies like me! I know you mentioned that your preferred print provider is Monster Digital, are you recommending this new print provider for the Gildan 5000 because of the extra variety of colors?
Yes I usually prefer Monster Digital but they don't have a shirt in the Sand/Natural color that is super popular right now so I think Swiftpod would be a good option!
There are a lot of great tutorials on YT already I'd check out, I may do a video in the future but I know a lot of people use a website called Photopea.com to make the wavy fonts
It comes with time Courtney, you just start to notice that lots of shops are selling designs with similar trends like retro fonts, checkerboard prints etc. You can also look up 2022 design trend videos and people make videos sharing info on what will be big this year in t-shirts!
Another video with so much value. Thank you Cassiy! Just curious, since you said you only have max of 3 or 4 color options for shirts, can you share your favorite Gildan 5,000 colors to sell whenever you are using SwiftPOD?
Hi Cassidy, your videos are always so informative and are very appreciated. I’m planning on opening my shop in September and I’m feeling overwhelmed. I’m confident in my designs but I’m not sure what order I should go in. Should I make all my designs then add to my yet to be opened shop or do them as I go along? I feel like I’m doing everything all at once and I’m not sure I’m using my time effectively. Thank you again!
Hey it's super normal to feel overwhelmed in the beginning! I would recommend doing it this way. 1. Open your Etsy shop TODAY 2. sign up to Printify TODAY and connect to Etsy then these two seemingly big things are out of the way! Then as you are ready to take the next steps, it's just that much easier. 3. Brand your Etsy shop th-cam.com/video/8W6o4RUO9YI/w-d-xo.html 4. Make one listing start to finish to make sure you understand how it all works, here's a full tutorial of how that would look th-cam.com/video/pSs0nMfRqZc/w-d-xo.html Then slowly add more designs as you feel like it between now and September to hopefully get a sale or two before you really get going. This simple start will help you feel so much more confident and ready once September gets here! Trust me, no one will be beating your door down with sales the day you open. It's a slow start so you might as well start a little early to just jump start the process!
Thank your for getting back to me so quickly! I will take your advice and put up some of my designs. I’ll add as I go and hopefully by September I’ll have 50 or 60 designs. You’re are appreciated 💕
Hi. I had the same question and followed Cassiy’s advice. I got my store open with only a few listings first, but it feels so great to have it open, so go for it. As Cassiy often says, most people will only ever see your listing. A small percentage will actually visit your store. Hope this is encouraging and helpful.
Another great video! Thank you soooo much! You have no idea how much you have helped me with my shop. I have a question : how to find company to do pod for certain style that I can't find on printify?
First, thank you so much for your excellent videos. You pack so much value into each video. My question is about toddler and youth sizes of t-shirts and sweatshirts. I don't see many options in Printify. Do you have suggestions on where to find these items and which shirts/sweatshirts you like best? Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching! I don't do a bunch of kids clothes, the only time I do is for matching family shirts and for those, I like to use Swiftpod because they have the largest selection of shirts for kids. I don't even put size chart for the kids shirts in the listing so I can change what shirt I am offering if it's out of stock or something.
Hi Cassiy! I just started using Gildan 64000 and I have had a complaint that after washed they are very wrinkled. I used Monster Digital. Also they have a square impressed around the design. Have you had any of these issues?
Pretty please do a video for the best black t shirt. I have used POD and Monster D and they looked more of a navy blue not black. Who do you recommend for a black color t-shirt
I've seen you speak briefly a couple times about SKUs. I have a small digital shop, and have opted to not use SKUs. I assume you create your own, but what format, and for what purpose. I'm clueless about the SKUs.
So since I am selling Print On Demand t-shirts, this means that someone else (Printify.com) is printing my shirts and sending them to my customers for me. So these SKU numbers are something that they make. The SKUs are how Printify knows what shirt to make when I get orders!
@@CassiyJohnson Thanks for clearing that up for me. I've been going through your videos and taking lots of notes. My plan is to open a POD store before long.
aAccording to you, it appears that the comfort colors c1717 is the gold standard but not rated or reviewed. Why? Do you never use Printful? Very informative video. Curious that the heaviest weight is the least expensive shirt. Thanks
Not the gold standard but definitely a popular style right now! I have used Printful as a back up in the past. Comfort Colors was recently added to Printify so they are definitely a good option but this video was more of a "get the look for less" kind of idea as the c1717 is over $16 per shirt.
Comfot Colors is a brand of shirt, the model number to find them on Printify is C1717. They are made by Gildan but it's a different shirt entirely from the shirts I showed in this video!
This was such a great in dept explanation of which T-shirts and mockups to choose. Thank you so much. Question, for holiday season do you still mainly design t-shirts or do you do long sleeves, hoodies etc. as well? What do you use for long sleeves for example? American Apparel 1304? Bella Canvas 3501?
I mainly sell Gildan 18000 sweatshirts for the holidays and the Bella Canvas t-shirts. I only sell long sleeves and hoodies when people ask for them but I sell the Bella 3501 and the Gildan 18500 when I do list them!
Hi loving the tutorial videos there helping me so much. Your providing amazing value. I just have a quick question I'm based in UK should I be using print providers based here or ones from U.S on printify?
It depends on where you are trying to sell your items, I’d recommend selling only in the US and using US print providers personally since that’s where most of the Etsy shoppers are.
Hi Cassiy, when one lists a t-shirt with backside printing, what is the proper term to use in the listing title to indicate that the design is printed only on the backside?
Not sure if you found the answer by now, but the term you’re looking for is “back print”. You pretty much nailed it in the framing of your question lol 😇
@@peacefultyrant_ Hi there, I did find it eventually and you are correct it is called back print. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question. I really appreciate your help!
Hello Cassiy. If we use the Free Creative Fabrica subscription, do we have to modify designs before using them? Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to share :)
Here is a video I did answering all the questions about the license th-cam.com/video/Qc-PpjE4z9w/w-d-xo.html Essentially I'd recommend reading the license and make sure you yourself understand it though. If its a "POD license" then you would have to delete it after cancelling your subscription. If it's pod or commercial license and then you add things to it and make it your own, then you can keep it up even after you cancel but just cannot continue making new designs with the pngs. Hope that helps!
hi cassidy, what size do you use to save the png for monster digital and for swift pod? px or in? I saw somewhere that MG sizing scale changed. i just want to make sure. thanks in advance :)
I save all my designs in 4500 x 5400 pixels and then sometimes need to stretch it in Printify to be larger or smaller to fit where I want the print to go. Hope that helps!
Hi Cassiy thanks for another great video. You mentioned that the neck of the Gilden 5000 was right up tight around your neck. Have you gotten any negative feedback about the neckline being awkward on an oversized shirt? I love the idea of trying to find a lower cost replacement for the comfort colors. Do you put a design in the pocket area on the front?
I am just starting to use them myself more recently and have not gotten that feedback. I would say though that I wear a size small normally and only ordered it in a medium. SO I didn't actually really get that oversized look. I'd recommend having wording in your listings to size up 2-3 sizes from your normal size for the oversized look. And when you do that, I think the neck hole would not be quite as tight.
Hi Cassidy! When using printify their customer service states they do not recommend manually adding skus in order to add sweatshirts or hoodies to a listing with just tshirts as they cannot guarantee the integration of the order will process accurately. How do you add multiple options in your listing using printify?
I don't add multiple options to the same listing like that other than for matching family listings. I just make separate listings for each of the variations. The sku numbers do work fine for syncing your listings though, just have to make sure you do it correctly. Printify didn't even know that added the skus worked until last year.
I love you and your videos! You are so helpful!!! I opened up my shop at the beginning of January and I use all your suggestions! I’ve been using the Bella 3001 with mock-ups that are more fitted, but I definitely want to try the oversized look on the Gildan now! Thank you!
Hi, Cassiy! Thank you so much for your videos. I have a quick question- have you noticed the Bella Canvas 3001 t-shirt being super long in comparison to other shirts?
You either need to have a picture of each color in a mockup or offer a color chart showing the 5 colors. You can buy an editable color chart on Etsy for pretty cheap and that makes it really easy or you can create your own.
So I guess I need to keep Canva 3001 for front designs and Gildan 5000 for back designs With 2 sizes up for oversize look If I do back design for can va 3001 . Does it worth it for oversize shirts????
You can totally just use the 3001 for back designs and oversized shirts as well! Just have to tell them to size up 2-3 sizes from their normal size for these as well. There are a few size charts out there that have an oversized shirt and recommends sizing up.
Hey, i have an issue. When I put my design made with Photoshop on Printify (or on Printful) onto the tshirt, it seems blurry, compared to the original design quality. All the design parameters are fine (dpi - resoultion). Do you also experience that? Is it only occuring on the POD site, or will be the design on the shirt blurry as well when it is printed?
Yes you do, CF is just a marketplace of everyday people like you and I. So it's still your job to check for any trademarks or copyrights for graphics from their site!
You give a lot of great advise on brands to use as well as print providers. Which hoodie do you like best? Is the Gildan hoodie bella and canvas or another. I want to add to my store, but I am afraid to choose. Thanks!
What about feel? I've heard the 5000 is not as nice to the touch as 3001 and sometimes it gets returned? Was curious how the 64000 compares to the 3001 also. Probably not as much in oversized.
Hi Cassiy! When you upload your designs on Printify do you recommend uploading the same design twice and layering to make the design more vibrant? Or do you just do this on dark shirts?
Hello Cassiy.. thank you so much for great tips and nice advice.. Want to check on CustomCat POD how good is it? There is NL3600 shirt which is same as Bella canvas and some hoodies and sweatshirts as well.. is CustomCat good option or else printify is ?
I have never used Custom Cat, you'd have to order some samples of both to see for yourself. I really recommend Printify because I have had a great experience with them but Custom Cat could be good as well!
Hi Cassiy! Thank you for all the great tips for new Etsy sellers, I’m setting up my shop this weekend and am so excited to get started! I have a question about the design on the back of the shirt. I noticed that most of the ones I see selling on Etsy have a small left chest print on front as well as the large print on the back. This really seems to increase the price quite a bit with the print providers and lowering profit margins, how are you able to offset that increase? Are you printing on front and back or just doing the back print and leaving the front blank? Are you able to sell without a front left chest print? Sorry so many questions, thanks for all your advice so far I’m watching all your videos!
It's up to you if you want to add a design to the front as well, I have tried to put it there and not put it there and have sold them both ways. You just raise the price for the listings with a design on front and back by about $6.00 to offset the price. You will not be overpricing them if you do this, that is a normal going rate for a double print shirt on Etsy!
Cassiy! Do you think men would like bella3001 shirts? Or should I choose a shirt with a thicker material like gildan64000 or 5000? I have a design that would be aimed for bachelor party or even a mixed gender group. What style shirt would you suggest?
I noticed you mentioned oversized Bella and canvas mock ups. But that shirt doesn’t come in oversized. Do people just size up? That shirt is more fitted so I would hate to mislead my customer
Yes you would make it very clear that they would need to size up. I’d buy a size chart that explains to size up 2-3 sizes from their normal size. I’d also include that in the description as well!
Just wondering why you haven't mentioned Printful? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I just want to make sure I don't get overwhelm with choosing multiple POD vendors. And thank you so much for your helpful videos!!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you I was stressing myself out so much over which one to go with the Gilden 5000 or the bella canvas, on Etsy they have so many nice Christmas backgrounds a Bella canvas
Question for when you have time :-) I have been wondering, what do you do when a customer includes a gift message in their order? I don't really know what to do, as printify doesn't include gift messages in the orders, as far as I know?!
So first you want to disable being able to include a gift message, go to Settings - Options - then scroll down and disable gift messages. Some people will still leave them as a note to the seller but in those cases I usually message the customer saying something along the lines of "Thank you so much for your purchase! Unfortunately we don't have the option of sending gift messages at this time but we will send you the tracking number as soon as its ready so you can send them a message that it's on the way! Thank you for supporting our small business"
Hi Cassiy, I love your videos and you have given me the confidence to open my own shop but I am stuck with one thing and hope you can help me:) I am using Canva for my designs, which are RGB and the POD supplier I intend to use suggests using sRGB. Is this an issue? Thank you again !
Hi Cassiy I am thinking about switching to printify but my concern is I dont want to have to create a new listng for all my shirts. Got any ideas? Great video! Thanks so much.
You should be able to keep your existing listings and just switch them over as you get sales. So if you get a sale on an item from Printful. 1. cancel the order with printful OR un connect your store 2. Add that png file to printify and instead of publishing it, save it as a draft. 3. go to your "other orders" tab on Printify and select the shirt you'd like to fulfill it with for that order. 4. Go back into the listing you saved as a draft on Printify, and copy and paste the SKU numbers next to the prices on the pricing page. Paste these into that Etsy listings (replacing the Printful sku numbers there now.) This will make any order for that listing automatically fulfill by Printify in the future. A little manual for sure but eventually when you get all your best sellers over there, then it will all just be set up.
Do you have a favorite brand and print provider for family listings such as mommy and me shirts and mommy and me sweaters? I’m finding the 3001 in toddler and adult sizing has stock issues with the few providers that carry them both. Thank you!
Thank you for this review! Would you recommend a Canadian seller to sell strictly in Canada or would you recommend selling to US as well? I’m not sure if I should include both or stick to just one (whether that be Canada only or US only).
I would recommend selling to US only or US and Canada. The US market is the largest amount of the shoppers on Etsy so you definitely want to be selling in the US!
Is the 1717 superior to the 5000 in terms of quality? I am looking for a heavy weight/oversized style t-shirt at the moment for my print on demand store. I see printify doesn't carry the 1717, however prihtful does... It's much more expensive too... Any other suppliers you recommend? Also, it is worth the extra money?
The shirts you are using to look at EVERBEE are happy face designs - I understand that the happy face is copyrighted and cannot be use. As its a covetted item but copyrighted these amounts will be high but how can we compare? So forgive me but how does this help us understand what WE can actually sell? Unless we pay major money for a license of a happy face - if that makes sense.
It's not the fact that these shirts all have smiley faces that is making them successful, focus more on the design aspects like the colors/fonts/types of graphics etc. The positive sayings on the back of a shirt are what is selling well. But you could take this same style and add it to any other niche and it would likely do well too!
Hello Cassiy, I noticed that my designs are at 96dpi. But my dimensions are 4500x5100, would it still look high quality or should I convert it to 300dpi?
I just order 3 t-shirt from swift pro😢 all looked very cheap, old and faded. They were supposed to ne black. I was completely embarrassed and sad. The color of the print was also dull. She is a the black seller for a black t shirt
You don't ever have to do personalization but it can be a good way to get some sales since a lot of people come to Etsy looking for items they can personalize!
Yes they are normal shirts so the customer would need to size up for an "oversized look", you can purchase oversized size charts on Etsy that give this advice to your customers, you can create one saying to size up 1-2 sizes from your normal size for an oversized look, and you can add this to the description!
I noticed a lot of these shirts you shared in the beginning had smiley faces- isn’t that trademarks with the smiley company? I’m wondering how these products are selling on Etsy if they are using the smiley face?
Hi there! I really appreciate you giving the newbies so much info :) I was just watching your video about the tshirts we shouldn't sell, so I'm confused as to why you would use that smiley face design on this video if they are trademarked?
Who would you recommend for north American sales? I have to believe the majority of your watchers are living in Canada and the States. Would you use one printer or two?
Does anyone know if there is anyplace to get a shirt similar to the 3001 but where you can print front back and sleeves if I wanted to? And even a long sleeve one would be cool where I could print down the entire arm. I would also like to print my logo on the tag area. Any ideas?
Thank you very much for all your videos. Unfortunately those of us in the uk are not soo lucky cos we pay a lot for shipping. And the price of tshirt are expensive. You would have to sell your tshirt for £25 to get a profit of £4. And even that u have to still pay etsy fees. Is there any advice you can give me. Thank you in advance.
My best advice to you Ruth would be to sell only in the US! Use Printify and sell in the US only. This is the biggest market shopping on Etsy and then you don't have to pay all the VAT fees and extra shipping. I just think it would be easier for you!
To be honest, I have been thinking of that lately. Just not sure how to operate that. Still looking for videos which can help. And also would you offer a discount on your coaching classes. As I can't afford the price at the minute 😭. I have made 15 sales so far and most of it I run at lose.
@@ruthantwi343 I am going to be offering a group coaching program in August for $39/month so I'll post details when that comes out, that would probably fit better within your budget!
I've noticed Underground Threads and are actually the highest ranking for the U.S. on Printify and have loads of colors too but they are never mentioned. Is there a reason you do not use those? Just curious.
They are newer and not as vetted, I have personally just never tried them. I think most people list tons of stuff and you want all of your stuff to be ideally from the same print provider so that if people order multiple things, they all ship together. But you should try them and see how it goes if you want!
Yes a lot of them are, I haven't been able to find the copyright info and read it to understand which ones are and which ones aren't so I am staying away from them entirely. I just posted a video about this week as well, " 5 shirts not to sell"
No you didn't miss it, I actually don't share my personal shop as it is my families main source of income! Hope you understand but hopefully you get tons of value from my videos!

Hi Dee! Sorry I didn't think about the smiley on the shirt at all when I picked that design for the example! Good call out
This answers so many questions for me! Thanks Cassiy
Thank you for supporting our small family business, Shannon"
See if they message you back and tell you what was wrong with it or what they didn't like! Some people just don't think anything deserves a 5 star review so try not to overthink it!

Congrats on getting started John, so glad my videos have been helpful to you but you are the one who has implemented it and taken action!! Grea work!
I'll definitely be adding Gildan 5000 shirts available in my shop! Thank you Cassiy!
Appreciate your time and sharing valuable information with us 🥰👍
I sold more Gildan 18000's last year than anything else! I will do a review soon but don't hesitate to add these to your store!
Can you do an updated video with the comfort colors 1717 it looks like they have them on printify now
Cassiy again thank you for such great information!! You’re amazing!!
Do you have a video on best for male and female? That would help me a lot! I just opened my shop and I'm waiting for my first sample.
Definitely very valuable information. I will order some samples from awkward styles and MD
I did a full review of 8 print providers total, here's the link if you haven't seen it yet. I review both of those companies! th-cam.com/video/TEidvONm7Z8/w-d-xo.html
Amazing video as always!
Thanks so much for all these info.
Thanks for the info. I have been looking for a good vintage style blank from a pod provider!
Hi Cassiy! Is it possible for you to make a video showing us a comparison of the Printify mockup for the Gildan sweatshirt versus the real thing?
Yes I will be ordering sweatshirts soon to do a video on them! I personally own a few and love them.
If you wanted the oversized look with the Gildan 5000, would we recommend that someone order their regular size or a size larger for that look?
I would recommend they order 2-3 sizes above their normal size for the oversized look!
I wish every mock-up would include what size the model is wearing 😭
Such useful info! thanks! Do you have plans to do a comparison video for baby bodysuits? I'd love your opinion on them between printful and different print providers on printify!
I will definitely consider doing a video about baby items in the future!
Cassiy, thank you so much for one more amazing video! How do you do those curvy text designs, would you please share what tools to use for it?
There are a lot of great tutorials on YT already I'd check out, I may do a video in the future but I know a lot of people use a website called Photopea.com to make the wavy fonts
Who do you recommend for sweatshirts? Or do you have a resource I don’t see? Thanks for any info and for great content for us newbies!☺️
I like to use the Gildan 18000 sweatshirts for mine! I'll be making a review video on them soon but for now, that's my recommendation!
@@CassiyJohnson..I heard those get balls/pills on them pretty fast or even right out of the bag. That means less repeat business
Hi Cassiy! Thanks so much for the information it's so helpful! I'm wondering how you find out what are design trends?
It comes with time Courtney, you just start to notice that lots of shops are selling designs with similar trends like retro fonts, checkerboard prints etc. You can also look up 2022 design trend videos and people make videos sharing info on what will be big this year in t-shirts!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you
Another video with so much value. Thank you Cassiy! Just curious, since you said you only have max of 3 or 4 color options for shirts, can you share your favorite Gildan 5,000 colors to sell whenever you are using SwiftPOD?
White, Sand, Pink and Blue are all really fun colors to sell for the Gildan 5000!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you for the reply Cassiy! Added the gildan 5,000 on my list of shirts because of you
Hi Cassidy, your videos are always so informative and are very appreciated.
1. Open your Etsy shop TODAY
2. sign up to Printify TODAY and connect to Etsy
then these two seemingly big things are out of the way! Then as you are ready to take the next steps, it's just that much easier.
3. Brand your Etsy shop th-cam.com/video/8W6o4RUO9YI/w-d-xo.html
4. Make one listing start to finish to make sure you understand how it all works, here's a full tutorial of how that would look th-cam.com/video/pSs0nMfRqZc/w-d-xo.html
Then slowly add more designs as you feel like it between now and September to hopefully get a sale or two before you really get going.
This was so helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!! :)
love this video! you took your time!🏆
Thanks so much, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!!
Love you Cassiy 🥰
I hope this video was so helpful for you!!
@@CassiyJohnson I searched on Printify without any luck. Maybe I'll just look at catalog instead. thanks
Which colors are the “comfort colors”? I feel like those are pretty popular but I don’t know which ones they are on Printify?
@@CassiyJohnson Thank You for the quick response
Here is a video I did answering all the questions about the license th-cam.com/video/Qc-PpjE4z9w/w-d-xo.html
Essentially I'd recommend reading the license and make sure you yourself understand it though.
If I’m only offering 5 colors, do I need a color chart? How does that work?
You either need to have a picture of each color in a mockup or offer a color chart showing the 5 colors. You can buy an editable color chart on Etsy for pretty cheap and that makes it really easy or you can create your own.
So I guess I need to keep Canva 3001 for front designs and
Gildan 5000 for back designs With 2 sizes up for oversize look
If I do back design for can va 3001 .
I have never experienced this, as long as Printify says it is a high quality image, then I would imagine that it will not be printed blurry at all.
Hello Cassiy! Do you remember how long it took for the Gildan 5000 shirt to get to you? Was it a long wait or was it fairly quick?
It was very fast, maybe 1.5 weeks total. That is pretty typical for Print On Demand unless there are delays like holidays.
@@CassiyJohnson okay, thank you so much for responding fast!!
So we need to worry about trademark infringement (smiley face) with the graphics we get from Creative Fabrica? I thought we'd be safe with them.
Thanks!
Hi ! Should I make double the design so as to make my prints quality?
Bella Canvas shirts are perfect, my husband is literally wearing a Bella shirt today lol they are just normal unisex shirts.
@@CassiyJohnson thank you!
@@CassiyJohnson ok great! Thank you for your reply! I just started my shop and I’m learning so much from you. Your channel is gold 🙌

@@CassiyJohnson wow Cassiy that was fast! Thank you so much, as always you are so helpful. God bless from Texas!
Do you think all of these colors are going to still be selling through fall?
Yes for sure!! I sell these generic colors all year round! White shirts were actually my best seller last year
Hi Cassiy, I love your videos and you have given me the confidence to open my own shop but I am stuck with one thing and hope you can help me:) I am using Canva for my designs, which are RGB and the POD supplier I intend to use suggests using sRGB.
@@CassiyJohnsonthanks so much. I think you did a video of this right?

I would recommend selling to US only or US and Canada. The US market is the largest amount of the shoppers on Etsy so you definitely want to be selling in the US!

Is the 1717 superior to the 5000 in terms of quality? I am looking for a heavy weight/oversized style t-shirt at the moment for my print on demand store. I see printify doesn't carry the 1717, however prihtful does... It's much more expensive too... Any other suppliers you recommend? Also, it is worth the extra money?
Great video, thank you so much 🙏💕
Thanks so much, thanks for watching!!
In your opinion which brand has the heather color shirts in printify?
When you create a product shirt, do you get to keep the sample shirt they send?
what about wear and tear though? Gildan 64000 had some wear and tear quicker than bella unfortunately
@@CassiyJohnson ok thanks for the reply!

Hi Cassie how important is personalized text on tee shirts?
You don't ever have to do personalization but it can be a good way to get some sales since a lot of people come to Etsy looking for items they can personalize!
Are these shirts available in oversized options? Or are oversized options just XL & up?
So glad you are enjoying my content Wendy! It’s just an example png for the print but yes in the future I’ll avoid using smileys!
Who would you recommend for north American sales? I have to believe the majority of your watchers are living in Canada and the States. Would you use one printer or two?
What do you do with all the copies you buy?

Thank you!
Aren't smileys copyrighted or trademarked?
Yes a lot of them are, I haven't been able to find the copyright info and read it to understand which ones are and which ones aren't so I am staying away from them entirely. I just posted a video about this week as well, " 5 shirts not to sell"
