I would swap the two mangavé, the red one would stand out in the shammie rock and the silvery gray one would stand out in front of the colorful succulent by the steps
No no no... Do not do me like that with that e. agavoides 'maria!' I love the agavoides so flipping much, and that one is an absolute banger. Love the hesperaloe, the portulocaria afra variegata needed to go. The heights were just competing. It would be like planting the hesperaloe right next a dasylirion longissimum... The wispiness would compete.
I have watch you guys for a few years ,I love this garden ,so much color , love your work ,I live in Casper Wyo and have a hard time to get anything to grow here ❤❤
The Sunburst are stunning! - They aren't even loosing their lower leaves yet :) ... The color of my pebbles eat up some of my Mangaves (and other plants) too.
Re the "hot mess" - put a third plant, something with color, to the right, by the fence post. Or pull the portalacardia back by the fence, and put something in front of it that has color.
Ab-so-lute-ly stunning 🤩!!! You and Hannah outdid yourselves, and so did the plants! Can’t believe there are skunks 🦨 in the area 😮 Can’t believe it’s been a year already 🗓️ I’ve gotta watch this again! 😍🤩🤯
This remains one of my most favorite installations! It's just so fun to see it all! At first I thought to put the Red Wing in place of the lavender Mangave that you pulled out and moved that had been over to the side but I love what you did. Love those superbums! Also love the sunburst aeoniums. I have one that did equally beautiful but to have more of them is my goal. All so delightful on the eyes!
My ruschia is literally thriving in very dry soil with no irrigation, and I'm located in a climate similar to Sunset Cliffs. Maybe remove any irrigation around it and treat it like the cacti. I'm not sure that approach would work in a hotter climate tho. What a show-stopping garden you and Hanna created!
The "wildness" of the hesperaloe and portulacaria didn't really bother me so much, it's just that, imo, they were lost against that ivy background. Too much green when the hesperaloe's not in bloom. Tbh, I think that whole side of the yard to the right of the stairs and the pathway to the side/rear of the house was very bland color-wise, compared to the rest of the yard. I was happy to see you introduce more color in that area. Such a lovely installation--I'll bet the neighbors just love looking out their windows and seeing it!
Hi Laura, We call that succulent Graptoveria Purple Delight. It’s different from Graptopetalum Pentandrum “Superbum”, so not sure if thats its the name there for you? Anyways, I am your big fan here in Sydney. Always love your work. 💕
I think the portulacaria with the Hesperaloe is too much of the same texture together, that's the issue for me 🙃 I'd add something with a bold texture between them to make them pop 😉
those sunbursts!! holy aeoniums! wowowow.. i love this installation and the house, it's just so perfect... what about the debated area? what did y'all decide to do over there? and we have more rain, gahhh... it's a good thing but my garden is definitely runamucky.. trying to get out there between showers, haha.... 🥰🥰
Hello new to gardening/landscaping. I live in colorado and I never really cared about gardening but I just never liked how blend grass looks. On top of being water heavy. We’ll basically I’m trying to ask if there is a discoard or links 😂 I can get for a beginner. I’m good with bio and math so don’t be afraid to shoot me sum nerdy stuff.
Beautiful garden Laura. Curious how the flagstone and gravel path was done. Are the flagstones cemented in place or just sitting on a crushed granite base.
Sorry Laura, but I’m with Hannah on this topic. While these plants don’t coexist together outside gardens, I much prefer a wilder, more natural look over your manicured style. 😺✌️
My vote for taking out the hesper aloe and replacing it with something else but leaving the afra varegata. The wild stringy-ness of the hesper doesn’t do anything visually for me. Sorry Hannah!
Her neighbor is so lucky to have this gorgeous borrowed landscape to marvel over. 😘🤩😍
So glad Hannah is back.
I feel the superbums are purple delight. They show these marbling. The entire installation is gorgeous. I had loved the cave rock on this one.
Exactly what I thought too. I have these and they were labeled purple delight. Still beautiful though
Omg those sunburst... STUNNING!
🌸
Gorgeous!!!
Loving it a year on and don’t blame you for not wanting to leave! I could stare and ooohh and ahhhh over this installation all day 😍😍
Those superbum look like purple delight but wow that garden is stunning!!!
I like the contrast texturally.
Sunbursts 💯💯💯💯💯. Stunning. The neighbours really need to be on board too! ☀️ 🌵 ☀️ 🌵 X

Hesperaloe was a mess. Mama knows best! Looks gorgeous as usual. This yard is one of my favs!
I agree with Hot Mess…but it’s such a lovely installation!!

Ladies , this garden is absolutely beautiful!!
Definitely one of my favorite installations! So many different colors and textures. Absolutely gorgeous garden ❤
Euphorbia in the talavera is fab.
What a beautiful garden❤ I’m sure the neighbours will be calling you soon
I love Hannah's the best. Love the way it drops in front and the thriller in the back!!!❤❤❤❤

4:48 a little animal right at your fingertips(well he runs under the supurbums) Welcome back, I was worried about the succulent family XD.
Omg, how good is your eye
Geez.
Gorgeous!!!!
I like the combo too Hanna!!!
Re the "hot mess" - put a third plant, something with color, to the right, by the fence post. Or pull the portalacardia back by the fence, and put something in front of it that has color.
OH MY...THE SUNBURSTS!!!❤❤❤❤
My sunburst don't even come close to how good these looked
Ab-so-lute-ly stunning 🤩!!! You and Hannah outdid yourselves, and so did the plants! Can’t believe there are skunks 🦨 in the area 😮 Can’t believe it’s been a year already 🗓️

Beautiful. Very nice improvements.
This is one of my favourite gardens! I love the sunburst. Everything looks so healthy and gorgeous 🎉
Love your maintenance videos. ❤Would love to know where you purchased the Echeveria agavoides Maria if you are willing to divulge.
those are the most stunning unburst aeoniums I have ever seen...this is one of your best installations!
Looks gorgeous!
Sunburst aeoniums and mangaves are the standouts for me here. All good choices to zhush it up after one year. Well done Laura and Hannah!
Wow just beautiful to see this one a year on! Love your work as always Laura and Hannah 🤩

I vote for hot mess for sure. 😅
is it normal for the aeoniums go pup in the middle of the plant like that? Gorgeous little babies all red and pink.

It was too wild. Agree with mom.

Beautiful garden Laura.

FAN...tastic.
WOW what a gorgeous front yard. great clean up question on mangave... do you cut back the shoot from the center after they flower?
Why would you add rubble back if there is a skunk that will cause further damage. Seems like it would look just as good with plain gravel.
🌸
It should be contrast color to the rocks!!!
🙋
What kind of uforbia is that in the pot please
Has anyone figured out the name of that japanese "shishi" agave? 😂 Asking because I NEED one! Thanks in advanced ❤🌵
I thought it was a desert diamond
Hot mess!!😂😂👍😁

Get rid of that plant. We did. Too much maintenance.
