Nice video Andrew. Nice to see the Teton 510 back in action. Iv got that rod and just ordered the kestrel got it for £50😁. Can I ask whats the 2lb braid u use??? and also which florocarbon too. I'm looking for ultra light lines. Cheers bud.

Depends. Some Daiwa LTs have very bad drag some have fantastic.

Almost 100euro...not really a budget reel.
I just one one for £50
100 Euro is def not nothing, but it's a matter of perspective. Kastking Zephyr SFS that I have is $70 USD, while Kestrel is $120 USD. Arguably, one could get by with a $20 USD reel of the same size from one of our big stores here, making the Kestrel the most expensive reel that I would consider and my Zephyr was already a little too much.
This guy is comparing it to a $250 USD Shimano Vanford, and I assume he has some experience with even more expensive reels, so the Kestrel from his perspective, he paid half or less for something he considers best.
@@ShooterQ This is a good point but there are also others aspects to put on even if KastKing is a good brand, for example is a problem to deal with if you have some issue. I have a Sharky III and to order a guideline it required 5 months (passing throw AliExpress), not the same for sure with other brands like Shimano. I don't know if it's worth it to spend less for a "cheap reel" and also losing a season due to these after sales problems.

Hi Andrew can you point me in the right direction for an all round rod for the canal strong enough for a pike if one attacks as they do I have a telescopic rod it’s ok but lacks that tip feel if you know what I mean but it will come in handy for Greece next year look forward to your knowledge many thanks great vids follow them all cheers
