Loved the castle and the ponies🐎 That was a stunning first camp spot on a beautiful evening☀ cant beat camping beside the sea for the calming sound of the waves👍 Nothing is as good as mums cooking😊 Lovely walking along those bays in perfect conditions. If possible that was an even more stunning looking evening for your second wild camp☀ Lovely trip (so far)😊
Swansea...my home town!!! I love hiking and surfing in and around Gower. It's been a fantastic video, and it's really funny listening to your pronunciation of the various places.
@@Wild.cat.adventures Weobley Castle is pronounced "Woe" (rhymes with dough) bley, Broughton Bay is pronounced Brough (rhymes with rough or tough) ton. You did pronounce the hardest name (Llangennith) very well though, which was brilliant. Looking forward to your South Gower video (part two), and especially you camping at Three Cliffs, alongside Pennard castle. I can't wait to see the footage of your hike from Rhossili to Mumbles, and I have my fingers crossed you checked out and enjoyed Oxwich Bay, Pwll Du Bay (Welsh for Black-pool) Brandy Cove, Caswell and Langland Bay. I so hope you enjoyed your visit here. ✌

Hello Kat.. Your knowledge is so wonderful and the history of Gower is outstanding. I have been to Gower many years ago but never wild camped there. Beautiful there and the scenery is something more than wonderful. Wales has a lot to offer in the way of it,s scenery and the mountains are just to die for. Are you planning other wild-camps there? If so try going to the Rhonda Valley and go into the old coal mine there which is now a museum. My late uncle Jack used to deliver Pit-props there by Horse and Cart. It took him weeks away and he had many stories to tell me when i was younger.. Regards Mick.. Chef on the wild-side... X

This is great Kat, was drinking water a problem? I live in Wales (Snowdonia) and plan to walk the complete coast path next year but access to drinking water is of concern. I've just finished the Cape Wrath Trail, no water problems there!
For the gower stretch there are villages with pubs, coffee shops or public toilets, at least one a day. From experience doing multi day coast hikes that seems to be the case in general, only Scotland really where it gets proper isolated in parts along the coast. Don't drink from the streams that run into the sea they're usually highly contaminated with farm run off etc. I did resort to a water trough in a field once. They are usually fed by fresh mains water or from a local stream. Open the box on the side and push the stop cock down for water out the tap rather than from the trough. You still need to boil or filter but can get you out of a pickle. 👍 Personally I make a note of all pubs, shops n toilets on route and carry this with me in a little notepad, it'll take ages for the whole Welsh coast path but when ur not sure when to pick up water and food it will really pay off!

The 2nd night was definitely the better location, I love that spot over looking worms head. Part 2 has an even better camp spot, stay tuned! 😊

Other than the start to whitford point the coastal path is well marked and easy to follow.
