    The Performance we created in the previous video contained arpeggios. The Performance already sounded great, even though we didn't choose ourselves what arpeggios were playing, they were the default ones that came with the Bass and the Drum Parts we added. What if we like to use different arpeggios? And ... can we change arpeggios via Scenes? If so ... how? This video shows the answers to these questions.

    I say it again and again: These Tutorials are just fantastic! Thank you so much for all these infos Yamaha is unable to give to theit customers in such a decent way as you do! Tks to Rudy (who ever is this person) I didnt throuw away my MODX after I bought it! Since Yamaha gives only little and useless informations to their customers like me who "deal" with a synt for the first time!

    You have a great series.
    I appreciate it.
    If you can please do more on the SuperKnob. Please.
    These videos I can watch over & over again. Great detailed explanation & direction.
    I agree with your statement about the amount of arpeggios. It can be frustrating to find exactly what I’m looking for but it does help me get more familiar with menus, functions, settings, etc.
    Thank you for helping out by making your videos. Good luck to your channel.

    Where 10.000 arps sounds huge, its about equall to 120 arranger styles... its a good start... where things went downhill for me, there is only room for 256 user arps, which is a fun killer for people that prefer to create their own arps
    I think its a very good video... almost complete... you only missed out on some of the special types, like the control type arp.. also the arpeggio settings in the common and advanced tabs part edditing are really interesting

      256 user arps. Well, that answers my question. I guess I need to keep that left hand moving and coordinated....LOL Thanks for info. I was curious about that.

    How exactly did you get your modx screen onto your computer like that?

    For 3 years now I am using Montage.
    All the functions and features I explored so far work well, however at the arpeggio part I am struggling.
    There are 3 types of arpeggio: fixed , normal and original notes.
    The fixed note function works well with the drums, but with any other instrument channel, like a bass or any other instrument which has chord patterns, all the three functions mentioned about is not accurate. If the chord changes are not 100% in time and on the first beat of the bar, than the notes from the pattern are shifted and come later.
    However, in the user memory of the instrument, I found an arpeggio type, that works just like what I would like to do. For example, with MA_8Beat Slow_C arpeggio it does not matter on what beat I am changing the chords, all the instruments come smoothly in the right time from the arpeggio pattern, without any note shift and independent from the midi note length.
    My question is, how could I create an arpeggio like MA_8Beat Slow_C on my instrument?
    Regards,

    My MODX6 doesn't play the same ending (Arp 4 called up in Scene 4), but continues on with the beat, hence never ends. I double checked my arp-numbers and names were the same as yours. I will customize my own, but I still wonder what went wrong that my version of your ending continues on to eternity without that satisfying die out and pause that yours has.

      Hi Richard. The arpeggik used is of the type 'fill'. Mine keeps playing too, I simply press the stop button at the right time. :)

    Fine videos! Question: is there a way to to analyse a given arpeggio? I found one that pleases me, but as long as I don't know what it does I am not able to create this effect on my own.

    • @rudyshobbychannel
      @rudyshobbychannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A way I can think of is to make a MIDI recording in the MODX and export the MIDI file to your PC into a Daw or a MIDI analyzer program to see what notes it pkays. Or maybe that's not what you meant with analyze?

    After a few weeks I will give the MODX away! One of the many reasons: controler based Arpeggios cannot be held. Sorry; but to do senseless things with the superknob, I first need a free hand. At least this is the opinion of one who wants to play complete arrangements without DAW or rec-and-play tricks. This is not an instrument. It is a gadget.

    • @rudyshobbychannel
      @rudyshobbychannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The superknob can be controlled via a foot pedal.

    I was hoping this would be about creating arpeggios from scratch. What a disappointment this was.
