    Greetings from Connecticut,Andre! I have also v50 , still working and a GoPro hero 7 black, the V50 is good, but the GoPro 7 is the one I use in a daily basis, it's an old camera but I don't do any action any more so it's good enough for me! You told the the truth about not e wasting you time on trash! Take care

      Hey there ! The Hero 7 is still a good camera, unfortunately I was using mine on a Cruise and we stopped off at Perfect day at cococay and in the water it developed a leak and trashed the camera, but I was able to get all the video off of the sd card thankfully

    Excellent video. The discussion is right along the line of what I try to discuss when I review stuff. While I have yet to do reviews on TH-cam, I try to acquire items which I would probably like, and I review them as to the expectations as they depend on the reality of what we are getting, and the stated purposes of the seller / manufacturer.
    I have acquired a number of very inexpensive cameras which can also shoot video (as an example) - NONE of those budget cameras could be used for most professional videos, of course, but in some cases they could... but it require more equipment and skill to do so.
    In THIS video, that footage was a hard no to me, so I naturally agree. Another thing (for me) is that I acquired the GoPro 8, and I do not chase technology, but that camera was before the front facing screen so I could ensure I was in the shot... but everything else worked well... and I could add a professional, external microphone to it.
    Now I am about to acquire an action cam for review, so I am keeping your video here in mind... but the thing I always want to do, is to be able to add professional microphones to the process. The front facing screen (on the one coming to me) is why I agreed to look at it... thanks again for sharing this video, it is important.

    I really wish Gitup or Thieye would get back in the game. The Git2/Git3 and T5e were great value cams, I was genuinely upset when my T5e finally died cause I knew I was going to have to plunk down some change for a GoPro to get the same general performance, nothing in the budget market in the past 2 years has been worth the money.

    I think it was around 2 years ago on your recommendation I bought a nice, used Osmo Action for $150. I'm still using that camera. I may upgrade to the Action 4 or even the Pocket 3 when prices drop. I think Akaso really dropped the ball. I picked up their insta360 Go clone and I find uses for it (baseball cap mount is great) but the Brave 8 was a big disappointment both in capability and in price and they've done nothing since. I think DJI killed them.

    I'm looking into buying a brand new action camera. I plan on using it to record some videos of me riding my dirt bike, and I found one that seems good-it's the Akaso V50X. I wanted to ask you, or anyone who reads this comment, if they have any experience with that camera. How is the video quality? Is the stabilization good or bad? Would you recommend it, or would you pick another camera instead? (You can give me suggestions; my budget is at most 100 euros or about 120 USD).
    I was thinking about buying a used GoPro. I found some Hero 7 Black and some Hero 6 Black in my price range, but I would be much more comfortable buying a brand new one. I'm looking for a 4K 60fps camera, but 2.7K 60fps or 120fps is fine too, but stabilization is a must-have.

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@unsmonster4024 Honestly I would look at the GoPro Hero 10, which can still be purchased new for $180 US, the old original V50X was a good camera but Akaso recently changed out all the internals to cheaper quality items and it’s trash now. Here’s my video of old vs new model th-cam.com/video/t-0vf-CuE9k/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared

    • @unsmonster4024
      @unsmonster4024 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@WORTHITORNOT Yeah, I see now that I was looking at the original version of the V50X. Here in Croatia, where I'm from, prices for GoPro cameras are a bit higher. A brand new GoPro Hero 10 Black is about $280, and with the mount, batteries, and SD card, it comes to about $400. Used ones are around $200-$250, which is why I was looking at the GoPro Hero 7 Black it seems more reasonable at $100-$130, which is within my price range.

    I just don't know. I've had such bad luck with GoPro and these new premium cameras are priced into orbit for the median income guy like me. My Akaso v50x, Akaso 7 LE, and a basically no name Gamsod 4k 60 are still plugging along after all but two of my GoPros have left this world. I think there's still a thriving market for the budget guys, at least the old stuff anyway. I just ordered another Akaso 7LE on Monday after one of mine got brutalized because it was mounted about 4" from the ground on a twisty road and ate a large piece of debris at a pretty high impact. It's cheap enough that I can replace it with ease (and not cry tooooo much about it). All my budget cameras, even the v50x, deliver great quality pictures. Nobody has ever asked what Camara(s) I use on my trips as the quality is the same on the smart phones that 99.99999% of my tiny fan club use for insta and Facebook. Mind you, I RARELY use the audio on any of my cameras. If i do use audio from a budget cam, I just boost ìt in edit, it's not that bad as long as it helps tell the story. So there's definitely a niche market, at least for my salary range, in my opinion. Dude, love your videos. They definitely play a part in my decision making with a lot of tech devices.

    Like your shirt ..spend money wisely ...That is what I hope. I was looking at using 2 cameras for travel vlog and promo videos. One to go outside ( on a car ) for B roll and the main camera for the main features. So the IES is not as important as being durable. Mostly the low light use would be limited. TH-cam recommended you but thanks for your comparisons . It appears that the Akasa V50 is an option due to price. You asked what is going on. I would suggest that the COVID effects have hit investment. USA was hit hard in numbers but your economy has bounced back with inflation coming down. However consumer confidence is not so good because reducing inflation does not mean that prices go down and it is about security and disposable income. As the economy improves so will investment. A large proportion of the USA believe that the current administration has let the country go. Other countries are not doing as well. So world wide demand is lower. Semiconductors have been an issue. Russia issued a map in 2015 showing Estonia , Georgia and most of Ukraine in Russia and Putin expected to be allowed to take what he wanted. Ukraine has soaked up so many drones , so many sensors etc ..and Russia has taken loads. There will be a leap forward in a few years

For that price would you recommend it? Or what brand would you recommend?
