A 90-minute drive East from Cape Town will bring you to Betty's Bay, a small coastal town nestled between Pringle Bay and Hermanus. Here you'll find the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens at the foot of the mountains, with a zigzagging trail leading to two waterfalls, Disa Kloof and Leopard's Kloof.
You'll find the red Disa (Disa Uniflora) flowering in the cliffs next to these two waterfalls between December and January while hearing tales of an elusive mountain leopard roaming this area of the mountains.
Betty's Bay holds many secrets, Leopard's Kloof being one of them. A walk through the dense mountain forest and up the many wooden ladders, you'll find the beautiful waterfall and rock pool that is Leopard's Kloof, nestled between two mountains.
