I just bought an M11/9 and plan to replace the sear, trip, trigger and safety. This greatly helped explain how it all works together. Its so simple I love it.
Really cool modeling and demonstration. I'm new to the Mac-10, and had some questions on how some of the mechanism worked, but this cleared it up completely. Well done!!
I wanted a MAC-10 for a long time. It's funny now to see how simple and crude it really is, but I still like it for that, even if it's a little dated compared to modern guns.
I don't understand how the firing pin goes back and forth when the trigger is kept pressed. Is it the spring that's used that has a maximum range of tension or something else?
It’s supposed to be a fixed firing pin, but I’m also having a hard time understanding it because the round must slip under the extractor claw without being blocked by the pin. It’s a fixed pin tho because it’s an open bolt weapon which makes sense
so after the spring goes forward and shoots the bullet out, how does the chamber go backwards where the springs force is now tensed up and ejects the cartridge before chambering and firing the next shot? i dont understand this can someone help, is it the blow back from the shot itself forcing the chamber backwards with every shot?
@maklovin5253 okay so basically inside the cartridge there is an explosion and that explosion forces the bullet out of the barrel, and it also pushes the shell casing/ bolt back against the spring tension. So when you pull the trigger the spring forces the bolt forward, and pushes a cartridge in the chamber, then a little firing pin at the end of the bolt strikes the primer of the cartridge causing it to explode. The explosion causes the bullet to go one way and the bolt to go the other, and if you hold the trigger the gun essentially gets trapped in a cycle of chambering cartridges, firing them and then the explosions drive the rearward movement of the bolt. So to review, the spring forces the bolt forward while the explosion of the fired cartridge forces the bolt back. There has to be a proper combination of bolt weight, and spring tension in order for this to work properly.
I’m holding one while watching this video. Yes a real one except mines made in Marietta Georgia , the one depicted here is a 3rd Gen which was made in stephenville Texas. There’s really very little difference between them it’s really because the company changed hands a lot throughout the years.
so this is how apple laptops work? im confused out of the bad joke i think i have a new favorite smg. with all the accessories attached this is a very cool weapon.
Can u show in 1 of these videos what would happen to my caulk if I shoved it in the open bolt while firing full auto before I try it on my uncles mac-10 I would like to know what to expect. Thank you
@@americangangster1911 thanks for the reply. That sounds lovely and I may just unload my own lube in the chamber and feed ramp... hopefully I don't get any on the firing pin or the firing pin Channel, right? Might have to suck it out if that happens
Man what game is this background music from I know I've played it whatever it is a ton I just can't figure it out its driving me crazy I gotta find out
Looks cool, but the whole trigger function is fabricated incorrectly. This looks like it would actually work though, however there is NO "internal hammer" in this model to hit the firing pin.. An unless maybe the Cobray models are different, trigger function wise.. It's actually much simpler then this model, an is nothing more then a "hook" that the trigger squeeze pulls back. An unhinges, sending the hammer flying forward. An then a hammer piece that's hooked on the top and bottom, that basically catches on one end that the trigger releases. An the other end that prevents it's from going full auto.. Although this may be legitimately how a fully auto functioning version is built and operates, when there is a switch to change between full and semi auto.. Pretty cool way to learn the inside function and mechanics of a firearm though.
No you are incorrect. The original Ingram M10 had a fixed firing pin. Watch this video ( th-cam.com/video/BU9kVinACYU/w-d-xo.html ) and jump to 17:10. It doesn't get much simpler than an open bolt, blow back machine pistol with a fixed firing pin.
So you’re telling us how it works but have never used or even touched one? One is sitting on my coffee table in front of me right now and this is exactly how it operates. No it doesn’t have a hammer. As soon as a round is in the chamber it’s firing. Thanks for your ignorance tho…

This gun was invented in Powder Springs, Ga. manufactured in Kenesaw. My home town is sandwiched between the two.
Simply genius design.
i dont see firing pin hitting primer...
Thats because its blowback operated and the the firing pin is a part of the sliding part.
World of Guns is amazing, and so is Call of Duty Cold Wars OST. Like how you used its theme.
The machine MAK 10 is very simple in design, but reliable.

you did a good job. I respect. But it is very sad that you did not address the needle and nail part

Démonstration par l'animation en images de synthèse est vraiment au top ; de façon théorique bien-sûr.

You'd never heard of a Mac 10? It's a badass gun. It and the Mini-Uzi share some of the highest, if not the highest rounds per minute of all SMGs

Why does the free shutter spring in the video not change its shape in any way? The spring must compress and expand.

I need an open bolt cad file. They remove the open bolt design and i think its now built with a closed bolt and fireing pin.
