still, there's a lot of commercial expedition at K2, and almost all 8000'er for that matter. the mountain itself is not the indicator of proper climb, the style is. go with fast and light, without support, on a small group, preferably solo. thats good achievement, might as well winning some Piolet D'Or

Helicopters cant fly due to reduced O2 needed for fuel burn. Not because there isnt enough air to generate lift.
