Thank you so much for videos. My 830 has a problem. If I open the door it doesnt want to close. Have you perhaps have a video on what could be wrong please.
I have an 880 and my needle threader has stopped working and is locked in the up position. I had a bad fabric catch when doing embroidery (broken/bent needle everything ripped from the hoop). After getting that fixed I was having trouble with the needle threader. I tried everything I could think of including going into the cleaning mode. Everything looked good no debris etc. I pushed the button and it popped back in place. Now the darn thing won't budge. It won't even move for the cleaning mode. HELP!
My 830 has top thread break issues while sewing. I replaced my needle, changed thread, oiled, cleaned bobbin are. Any ideas as to why it keeps breaking and how to fix this issue.
Bernina Boys! What if the metal threader has popped out on the 880? The threader component works fine, but the metal threader piece popped out. Can I fix that at home?
Love your videos love to see some vintage bernina videos I have a bernina virtuosa 153 and it has a slight humming sound like a mosquito love to know what it is as heaps of people have serviced it but not fixed it. I live in Australia and just bought a bernina bernette 334 overlocker as I wanted to get into overlocking
It is most likely a loud circuit board. That machine is close to 20 years old and they can start to get a hum. It can be expensive to replace so most people just live with the hum.
Love your videos i wasnt tolt about pulling the 18" I have another problem n cant find an answer the back part of my B830 will not get out of the way i tried before and after removing the presser foot Help?
I just discovered that the embroidery tensioner part has come off my bobbin assembly. Not sure how or when it came off because I only discovered it while retrieving a pin that slid under the arm. So it must have fallen out after opening the bobbin door to change a bobbing and it slid under the arm. Is it possible to reconnect it or am I going to have to buy a whole new assembly?
Oops forgot to add that the machine in general seems to be more glitching more than usual. It will be going along just fine then the bobbin thread will stop with plenty of thread in the bobbin. Perhaps broken bobbin thread?
It sounds like you have tried a lot of things yourself. I recommend taking it to your dealer. If you were to break the threader or any of its parts it could be very expensive. It will probably be more cost effective to take it in.
If you watch the screen on your machine it will show you how to thread the top. Most importantly, these videos are not designed to take the place of your instructional classes from your dealer.
AJ Ellerman no. For embroidery you have to thread it in the auxiliary tension after pulling the 18 inch tail. Consult either your manual or your dealer for more details.
I really want to thank you for these videos. I love my 820 but it can definitely be tricky, and your tips and tutorials clear so much up for me.
I was never told about the 18 inches. Thank you.
I enjoy your Bernina tutorials very much, thank you
I am interested in seeing a video about threading the 880 using radial thread guide.

Help?
Do you thread the same way for quilting as for embroidery?
No. For quilting you thread it for normal sewing.

It depends a lot on your dealer. We try and glue it and have had a lot of success. Sometimes it's broken beyond repair and needs to be replaced.

You are my hero. Thank you so much!
I just bought a vintage 831, does this pertain to my machine as well?
No. Not at all. It has a completely different hook system.
Brilliant, thank you.
