      @@ABrit-bt6ce interaction also works. What also works is making bold claims. People will disagree or agree strongly causing more interactions which I believe this site loves. So here it is. This is the greatest swet wing ever created! Had Canada continued it's research we would've made the best swept wing plane ever!

    Note: I only mentioned the non-glider operational flying wings. There have been many ultra-light and glider designs but only 2 (or 3) other production aircraft have gone into service.
    also, at 5:32 I used the wrong picture for the RQ-170 and showed a BAe Systems Taranis, oops (thanks Tim!)

    Nice One! I met the NRC pilot, S/L Frank Phripp at a presentation on it at the CAHS around 1990/91.

    I did a little research project about the NRC tailless glider when I was in 5th grade - I was given my own choice and was very interested in canadian flying wings at the time. That was 3rd grade, almost 7 years ago.

    Wow! Never heard of this one and I've been in aviation since the mid 70s. Nice work! Flying wings are a dead end because they aren't really "tailless", they've just moved the tail's functions, moving the neutral point aft and providing trim forces to control AOA, to the wing tips if the wings are swept aft or the wing roots of the wings are swept forward like the Marske designs. Problem is, if you want cargo volume, you need to create a large space SIDEWAYS within the wing, a very draggy way to do it, when it is much more efficient to create the space lengthwise to minimize frontal area, using a longitudinal tube. Having done that, you might as well put tail surfaces at the end of your lengthwise tube, and increase the stability and control and CG range to boot. And voila! You have 99.9% of the airplanes ever designed.

    Every aviation museum in Canada should have a display with your videos on a loop. I find your vids well researched and VERY well produced given your just a one person youtube channel? Please keep up the good work and I hope more Canadians see you work.
    One question though and its kinda off topic. Have you ever had the opportunity to visit Royal tank museum in Oshawa? I only discovered that existed a few years ago through youtube and damn I wish more people knew about it. Every Canadian should be proud of the work they do there and should take the opportunity to visit it if they can. To have so many military vehicles that are not just on display but that they run and demonstrate for the public is truly inspirational.

    Such an underrated channel, always excited to see a new upload!
    There is more to appreciate in your videos than just the history alone, the photos/videos, narration, music and the overall style are all very fitting and bring each one together. The videos have helped inspire me to keep working on research for a few videos of my own on some Canadian produced kit and vehicles from WW2. Cheers!

    • @Panzermeister36
      @Panzermeister36 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ....you know Mark Felton is a hack right? Rampant plagiarism and fictional tales.
      A number of his video scripts are word-for-word copied from websites, usually war history online articles (which themselves are already dubious). Some of his videos are completely fiction; Jagdtigers were never ever in the Ardennes and yet he made a video about how they were. His Staudegger action at Terevino or whatever is also nonsense; it's a nazi propaganda tale, nothing more. German and Soviet reports of the battle both disagree with the Staudegger "1 Tiger vs 50 T-34" tale.
      Basically Mark Felton is a click bait plagiarism who doesn't even do a wikipedia-depth level of research.

      Whilst I loved Mark Feltons video I have found out he seems to be fibbing in a video he made about an RAF Lancaster squadron being trained to deliver the nuclear bombs and also slandered the Munster Tank Museum with a claim about their replica Tiger tank, this resulted in a press release from the museum and a lot of angry tank people in his comments. I've also seen claims a number of his videos have been taken near word for word from other sources. His star has greatly fallen
