Life is too short to keep reading "bad" manga! Haha! I missed the DragonBall and Naruto generation too. I dropped A School Frozen in Time. It was just meh for me. Yay!! Mario Kart 8!! lol! I let go of Children of the Sea too. Not what I was expecting. I enjoyed the random testimonials of weird things that happened at sea than the actual story! lol!
I also did a big unhaul this summer as I got pretty overwhelmed with the amount of manga I had, started to use more digital manga reading platforms and really put a thought to what series I would like to collext un the future. I kinda agree with you that the middle of Nozaki kun manga goes almoust nowhere but this manga always puts me in good mood whenever a new chapter comes out.
Didn’t do a big unhaul yet but I may who knows! I found Azuki which I plan to subscribe to next month to get a sizable amount of manga I want to read digitally we need more services like them…it really helps you feel better about reading digitally instead of being a 🏴☠️

I had heard the same things about The Ancient Magus Bride and since I LOVE fantasy I gave it a shot. Unfortunately the first volume gave me the ick and I dropped it like it was hot and now I cringe whenever anyone mentions it. >_>
I don't think I've ever unhauled that much but I generally get rid of 10-20 volumes a month. This month I got rid of like 40 volumes and I still have all 13 of the Vinland Saga hardcovers that I'm going to sell off. Looks like we both had the same reaction to A School Frozen in Time.
I see many people say that they unhaul something with the mindset of "I can just pick it up again later", which is such a weird way of thinking to me. But I'm glad you got rid of series that you don't like or no longer interest you enough to keep them.
Normalize manga unhauls!!!🙌 Glad to see it cause I think these kinda videos are important for various reasons. Some of which you mentioned. But also for me personally, I feel people are very cautious about expressing any negative opinions about series, lest it may offend someone else who happened to enjoy it....which I find to be just odd and frankly irritating. tbh. It creates an issue where critique of a series becomes seen as more like some personal attack of ones personhood by those whom enjoyed said series, conflating any dislikes about said series as being just the same as a dislike of them. Walking on eggshells and skirting away from speaking on series we think are stinkers just helps affirm this sorta insecurity people have about their own personal tastes. I think it's more important to learn to deal with the fact that people are and are allowed to be individuals with individual interests.
Love to see this Prof makes me want to read my unread stuff so I actually know if I like it instead of it collecting dust…The video definitely made me realize that I am a tad bit of a hoarder with manga and not much of a reader lately…huge goal to change this year is to read at least 80% of my collection and I have read probably…15% (I’m horrible I know…) it’s a mental thing my brain finds a reason to push back doing something I love though what’s scary is I have…50+ volumes just pending shipment so I really need to get reading but I got hit with a new year cold that I finally seem to be getting out of

I don't understand how people can unhaul stuff they have based on others' opinions xD Even if someone with pretty much identical taste said they didn't like a series, I would still need to try it out for myself if I had already bought it. I really wanna try that bread baking shonen manga tho!!

I think it’s that in Magus bride Chise is a slave sold off to the magus (and she’s underage so the whole bride thing rubs people the wrong way) and some find that weird but I honestly loved the anime and want to get the manga of magus bride sometime
I dunno why YT algorithm sent me here but I watched the whole thing so I guess it was right XD I always weirdly enjoy hearing people's reasons for unhauling. Especially when the thing someone dislikes about something is what I like about it, lol! I often find myself unhauling things I found 'meh' because....shelf space is at a premium around here ya'll ;ajsfgha;dkfjghdfkgjhdfg I actually really like Ancient Magus Bride but I totally get it not being other people's tastes. Unhauls are my favourite type of manga video so this was nice to watch. You haven't made a mistake getting rid of Tiger and Bunny, the anime is far better especially after season 2 which explains a few of the questions. I just finished Levius, it was okay somewhat entertaining, the antagonist is quite over the top but because my library has it I'm going to read part two to see where it goes. I find I read a lot of manga from my library that I enjoy at the time but that I have no desire to read again which helps with my manga collection I suppose

I think it's good unhauling it saves room and gives you an inject of money you can circulate back into manga or whatever you want. Sometimes series are good to keep if you plan to re read but if not it's good to sell on. Also, it gives someone else the chance to read and treasure them and they get a full or large quantity of a series in one go so it's a win win. I think it's okay not like series I see too many people give a bad series too much time I sort of did it with high rise invasion. I wasn't enojying it and finished it just to say I had but I wish I hadn't I did sell them on to a friend but wish I had just go of them earlier instead of persisting with it. I did that with chainsaw man read it and sold it as I thought it was okay but I don't plan on reading it again

Honestly I love hearing how my negative opinions influenced someone to unhaul a manga lol. Levius was so laughably bad that it almost came all the way around to being enjoyable again? I’ve decided to unhaul that one too. Children of the Sea is weird in a good way, while Ancient Magus Bride is weird in a bad way (the skull dude calls the girl “his puppy” multiple times, I hated it lol). I love unhauls and I wish they were more common on mangatube tbh

I think that's what killed Nozaki Kun for me. Like the middle volumes (5-9) did nothing for me and I didn't think it was THAT funny.

I have spurts of unhauling desire. I usually do this twice a year haha.
I don’t own any Shonen Jump series for the same reason as you. I can just read them in the app and save space.
Still haven't moved in that direction, but once I read them, I'll probably move them along.

I might pick up the blu rays for the series down the road tbh. The 1st season still holds up today which is awesome.
