  • Continuing the Thames Spring series walking the entire Thames Path, going from cows and remote ruins of Shornemead Fort and f Cliffe Fort which had the first guided missile from Victorian times, to the Lost Gardens of Rosherville at Gravesend, a light ship, Cable Wharf denied and then onto camping at a disused cement factory near Swanscombe / Broadness marshes and weirdness from what seemed to be fellow wild campers.
River history, industrial archaelogy, forts, pleasure gardens, Victoriana, wharfs, stubborn cows, graffiti, warehouses, warfare and guided missiiles...it's a change from my usual programming somewhat, showing you the ugliness in beauty and the beauty in ugliness, always fascinated by these abandoned places.
So follow me on my journey - there is going to be wild camping but also a lot of different content as well in my walk across London and towards the source of the Thames at Kemble.

Great informative video Tim - maybe the irritant was the unwelcome space invaders 🤔

Yes...I can imagine they are an irritant for the landowner, especially when I think said space invaders maybe stopped the Universal Theme Park being built there (lots of local outcry at a loss of a natural space) so likely spite....
