I just bought and tried the Tefal Soup and Co and thoroughly love that for similar reasons for your comments on multifunction convenience. Soup and Co does the blending, ice crushing, steaming, soup (and similar recipes) cooking very well, so I was curious to see what the higher priced machine would do, and thanks for your review. I recently discovered the US Nutone mixer (now available only from China) and have decided that is the optimal solution to kitchen counter madness. Take the hint here Tefal, Smeg, Miele, and others, come up with a standard through counter drive connection then compete on accessory innovation and programming cleverness. I like the self programmability of the Cuisine Companion but want more scope starting with a higher cooking temperature. I really want it to do the whole bread making thing, along with all of the other clever things.
