IMO, a step in the right direction. This is clearly an experimental game that polishes out the gameplay, graphics & is inviting new players. The game actually feels immersive & the player can finally command the army while still killing 100s of enemies. This is starting to become what the franchise always should've been: a hybrid of hack-slash plus war-strategy. If they transfer some of these mechanics to the main game & thin out the roster so it can work properly, I think the franchise will finally be revitalized.

You can barely tell there's a video game under this soup.

It's natural to be like that with DW, but it will be better later always after your character have enough exp and level and get good equipment. Also fun fact is your allies will be better in higher difficulty if you can kill enemy quick enough because your allies last longer.

Hope at least there's a controller layout option with R1, R2 triggers for Light/normal and Heavy attacks instead of just button smashing the Square and Triangle buttons. Question: Is there no breather or stealth in this game? Or is it from what I'm seeing continuously rushing through hoards of enemy soldiers? I quite like having stealth in a game so as to mix up hard action and sneaking stealth depending.
It looks how we dreamed of it back then, but the missing areas, fractions, army lists and more just can't justify the 70 price tag. It really cant. Some of the best, craziest and coolest generals are missing.
Sony has its stamp all over this so its going to look good graphically. But gameplay it looks incredibly weak. They are only showing HuLao gate and nothing else.. over.. and over.. and over. Getting Capcom vibes when they only showed Dimitrescu Castle for hype building. So yet again, proving Sony dipping into a title is a K.O.D.

Would be nice if you can change the field of view, its way up too close to my liking. And I believe in the older dynasty warriors, you can toggle on and off their hp bar. In this case, you cant unless you are really up close to the enemy.
Sadly they can't make orochi anymore, SW5 and DWO/DW9 has different mechanics. the art and the engine is completely different, it's weird if they want to fusion those game.
really like the game Dynasty Warriors, Dynasty Warriors Orochi, Basara and Samurai Warriors. And I'm impressed with the character of the WEI king Cao-cao who looks younger as well as the best king, namely from SHU Liu Bei. If I were a YT-ber, I would play the game (get all the characters, personal items, the strongest weapons, the king's horse, etc.). If my hero is clearly LU BU, Cao Cao + all the female characters, this is My last comment, thank you, SHIRRAKO, you are the best. And again, I really want to go to the country (🇯🇵), I come from (🇲🇨). the only thing i realise is the combo, like on the others dw you can press for example 3 times square and then triangle, on this dw it is different which makes it quite interesting
Cause the guys who made this made that game, this is like the 10th game in this series and they use it as a template for other franchises. They also made one piece pirate warriors and hyrule warriors which use dynasty warriors gameplay
Demo was fun I enjoyed it. However 70 is wild I’ll wait until it’s $35 - $40. If there is a disc release I will forsure be lowballing people a month after it comes out 😂
The game play is awesome! But why is it so hard to have a main character in a game to have a voice actor assigned to it!? I'm surprised all characters were given voices but not one single English voice actor for our main protagonist in cutscenes? Kinda lazy to me, especially being an OG player.
bruh.. you need to understand dynasty warrior origin isn't hack and slash only like before, this requires understanding of field commandding and using stratagem, when your troops morale down so bad like that i surely know you will lose the battle🤣
From your gameplay I see now that you excel in action-adventure, not Dynasty Warriors-action type. You lack strategy. But, I guess it just for the demo. Still, I look forward to you playing the official game and put your mind in the tactics and strategies of DW. I love your gameplays, but this one is not one of them.
Game is totally crap don't even give you health while fighting the last boss who is super hard. Last boss and no health wtf is that... With a boss like that you should have health scattered around.
