    I just bought a 2019 g70 3.3t advanced fully loaded with only 10k miles. I'm glad you did this because it's a lot cheaper to do my own oil especially since this beast takes almost 2 gallons of oil.

      Exactly haha, love to double check & also envious of how clean and perfect a 1300 mile g7TT looks underneath

    The new filter looks so much better.

    Great vid. I have a 2020 stinger gt. Owners manual says 5-30 or 10-30 same as your owners Manual.

    Very helpful. Thanks. It was good to know what to expect beforehand. I didn't have a 27mm socket, but a 1 1/8" (six-point) worked just fine.

    Nice video, I have a new 2022 G70 sport prestige and swear by amsoil for oil and diff fluids you will notice a difference in how smooth the car runs and turns

    Also if you want to make sure it starts with oil pressure you can floor the throttle with the car off. Hold the peddle down 100% and hold it and crank the car. All OBD2 equity cars this shuts off the fuel pump/ injection system and allows you to prime the vehicle. It’ will only crank with the gas floored for a few second will not start and then stop on it’s own. After that you can let off the gas and start it up and the oil system is primed! Very important on turbo applications. Fun fact for ya

      Any reason why this wouldnt work?

      @@cookiemonster9020 I tried it on the G70 before I sold it and it didn't work. Evidently some cars it works, others it doesn't.

      @@cookiemonster9020 Haha, yeah same thing happened with me. Wasn't excited about redlining it right after an oil change before having any pressure built up.
      I tried it on my 2006 Subaru Outback and it works. Also tried it on my wife's 2021 Kia Seltos and it doesn't work. So, there's that. Lol.

    Thanks for sharing! Please share more videos on how to do for the G70 :). It’s hard to see guided online for this car

    Thank you kindly for the detailed video! Yeah it was kinda a pain and my drain pan was too small, so it filled to the brim and I spilled some. What a mess!!! I thijnk I'll pay someone to do it next time. Without your guidance in this video, I would not have had the confidence to try... again thank you!! P.S. the cover under the oil drain plug was a pain to reach. Such a small area just using my Rhino Ramps. So I left the cover off and will hand it to the next oil changer! 😱LOL I feel so lazy!

    Pennzoil is owned by Shell, so Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is basically the same as Shell Helix Ultra (not usually sold in US markets but sold elsewhere around the world). Hyundai has a worldwide factory fill and marketing agreement with Shell for al Hyundai fluid requirements.

    Where did you place to the floor jack to get the jack stands in the designated place?
    Any concerns about the plastic cap (or main housing) deteriorating after time?

    My Genesis G70 came with 3 years of schedule maintenance. The dealer just changed it for me last week @ 6000 miles.

      @xbandg 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, except that my experience has been that the dealerships have no idea what they're doing. I tried two different ones and both used oil that didn't meet the specifications. They both used non synthetic oils that didn't meet ACEA A5 spec.

      @@Test7017 And TURBOCHARGED HEAT PRODUCTION IS A MYTH! With the massive heat generated by the turbo and the glowing red hot nature of the bearings within those turbos, I would not deem it wise to forgo FULL SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL! OIL IS CHEAP IN COMPARISON TO ENGINES THAT ARE NOT!!!

    My G70 engine says TWIN TRUBO on the cover...are you sure this is a 3.3?

    • @jryanspillman
      @jryanspillman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Notice the two intakes under the hood = twin turbo.

    • @Pratagraph
      @Pratagraph ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gabevillarreal96 it is most definitely not. The 3.3 is two turbos. The 2.0 has a single turbo and a single intake.
