They say the GDI engines are not good because gasoline is not being sprayed on the valves to keep them clean, it’s being sprayed under the valves (hence the name GDI) so the valves will start getting excessive amount of carbon build up at around 60,000 miles on the car. Just for your information get rid of it before it starts getting high mileage. These companies are aware of it and yet they still use it the GDI. Scotty Kilmer talks about this type of engine and he says it’s a bad design.
variable valve timing or some similar technology has that ticking sound when there is not enough oil pressure, basically oil isn't reaching the mechanical parts and it's banging metal on metal somewhere, and it usually goes away after oil heats up and becomes viscous/thin oil starts to reach the parts... that's usually the problem on lexus engines. But it doesn't really affect reliability

Guy it’s a direct injection engine. They all make that noise, even Honda’s
Mine does that when it starts to
I got a 2020 3.3t g70. Coming from a 13 genesis coupe 3.8 that claims 348hp I can honestly say this g70 feels like it would destroy my 13 genesis coupe 3.8 lol 😂
Ikrrr definitely underrated from factory it’s gotta be 400 or close to 400 hp
What adds have you done? Do you have Instagram? That way we can message back and forth. I'm looking to buy one and love the exterior mods you have done and I caught a little bit on what you said about the exhaust. Looking forward to your reply and having the chance to chat.
You should hear my ford escape 2.0 🤣🍻
Where you get the front splitter and spoiler from?
Well the company that makes them is called Adro and they’re made from Korea
Anyone know how big the interior of the G70 is compared to the Honda Accord 2020
Good question. The accord rear seating is unusually spacious for some reason.
The front is ok but the back of the g70 is small only 2 adults fit back there 5 ft 10 and under
Maybe 3 kids 12 yrs and under tops
Accord is more spacious. Front, Back and Trunk space
good video my guy
Fuck yeah another local with e genesis, by any chance do you know of genesis car clubs or events, I need some upgrades on this stock genesis lol
What all have you done to your exhaust... im about to straight pipe my 2021 g70 because it sounds horrible lol. and what did you do to tune it? just got my car a week ago and after having 4 dodge chargers id like a lil more "umpf" on the acceleration and power.
What do i search or ask for to get that sound? Lol
Equipped with lsd?
Ok the first one is weird it sounds like a go kart under the hood
You think, you should have gone with a Stinger?
GV70 is the new choice now to get more space and not go stinger because g80 to expensive
I see where you’re coming from. I think the presentation could have been better if you mentioned you love the car, but your nitpicking things you don’t like. One thing I don’t like is folding down rear seats creates dimples in the leather from the seatbelt buckle. Your exhaust sounds great!
Yeah the first time they were folded down and had weight on them, nearly had a heart attack when the indents became visible!
I hate how there's music like why.
The ticking sound is because the engine is GDI. 🤦♂️
WAKE THE PUCK UP MAN.
Sounds more like the actuator.
Answer your 206 messages bro!
radio thing even happens in my subie
Number 6 = teenie tiny boot space.
Mine doesn't make that sound
That noise mean, u need a big repair your engine. There is knock of car piston. You may have used 0w30 oil right? repair ur engine and usr 5w40 oil
No, no, no! Any ticking noise is unacceptable!!!!
Is this engine has Hydraulic lifters?
Sorry bro I have same one to the color.. quiet as a mouse 🐁
I prefer stock exhaust sound over this annoying ridiculous loud exhaust sound you have now. Your beautiful Genesis sounds like a cheap modified Jetta or Civic
Mehhh🤷🏻♂️ that’s your opinion. I love the way it sounds
I own one. Ummm I bought it to drive it not play video games on the entertainment system.
