Love Neyith! I like how she can focus on either of her abilities or both, and she can be taken in a lot of ways! I have her in my Gruul power matters deck as a potential commander and she's a ton of fun!
Watching this video one year later and after a lot of testing, I've realized that Neyith is a surprisingly powerful +1/+1 / combat trick commander. Many of the latest fight spells have some upside with counters, and in the same regard hydras are specially strong because are relevant at any point in the game compared to big creatures that are dead cards in early/mid game
I am really hyped to make a fight deck with Neyith. I have been waiting for a legend like this for a while and she's basically perfect! I also have some nice (or mean) synergies brewing >:)
Jake and Joel are Magic Well, there's the obvious method of giving Apex Altisaur indestructible, and I also found cards like Magebane Armor and Vigor to let me spam fights as much as I want. Vigor is especially nice because I can use Neyith to double his power after he eats enough fights. I'm also not sure if this works, but if Ezuri's Predation counts instances of fighting individually, then I get crazy card draw out of it, plus a pseudo board wipe. At the very least, it pairs very well with Vigor.
Changelings are good to have also. Most notable one is Chameleon Colossus. Where the card itself can double it's P/T, which will go well with Neyith's boost. Plus pro black
@@JakeandJoelareMagic I don't, my favorite is Momma Bear. I considered Neyith, but I am not really into lots of big casting cost stuff. She looks cool though, but I prefer Momma bear for my fighting needs. :)
This is the first video of yours I've seen and really enjoyed it! I'm super excited to build Neyith and really like your takes on building her. I'm going for a voltron build that looks to pump Neyith, give her lots of trample and kill opponents with combat damage. One card that seems like it was made for any version of this deck is cartouche of strength because for 3 mana it lets you pump a creature, draw a card by fighting another creature, and gives it trample so that it still deals its tons of damage after its been blocked (which draws a card)!
Now I see why my build is dofferent from everyone elses I am focusing more on fighting creatures making sure my opponents have no bored and swinging for the fences while everyone else is just looking to go through them or go wacky or go voltron
No I really do. I wish I could show you. Someday I’ll have to join the party train. I had wanted to build wolf tribal because of the tokens. I was going to go naya w Samut.
hi there, I am new player to mtg and found out that you can't play this card in modern and only play it in commander i got a card that is called neyith of the dire hunt.

I was already looking for a wolf tribal commander, so this is perfect
definitely, let me know how it goes!
Excellent deck tech video subbed for sure
I would honestly highly suggest adding in Gratuitous Violence, Fiery Emancipation, Aggravated Assault, Carnage Tyrant to any Neyith deck.
those are excellent additions.

Loved the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Joel if that were my deck I'd add in Hall of Heliod's Generosity
this is a RG commander, can't put a card in it with a white mana symbol

oh, awesome! I was super excited about this one, too. What synergies?! I wanna know!

yeah that's a good inclusion. have you got a Neyith deck?

Josh, I appreciate you watching!
I love Voltron - my first commander was Uril, so I was into Voltron strategy VERY early XD
Appreciate your time!
Wolf tribal lets goooooooooooo
ahooooooo!
Now I see why my build is dofferent from everyone elses I am focusing more on fighting creatures making sure my opponents have no bored and swinging for the fences while everyone else is just looking to go through them or go wacky or go voltron
fighting is a great strategy!
If the creature is blocked by 2 creatures is that draw 2?
that's my understanding!
No huntmaster ?
Wolf tribal seems cool. I have been thinking wolf tribal. Love the mean infect.
I have a really cool wolf token from a National Geographic.
what? really...? or you trolling?
this is a really good general for wolf tribal.
No I really do. I wish I could show you. Someday I’ll have to join the party train. I had wanted to build wolf tribal because of the tokens.
I was going to go naya w Samut.
Have the ability to make it so the opponent never can play more than one spell.
What no Arena? That thing is a must if.youre going for any kind of fight club.
missed including that one! I normally don't cover lands but that is an oversight not including it. thank you!
Build Oloro!!
