Phase five of MegaVacay2020 is a seven-night cruise aboard the MSC Armonia out of Miami! We sailed February 17-24, 2020 with stops in Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Ocean Cay. So far, we've completed a week at DisneyWorld as well as 13 days of cruising aboard the Mariner Of The Seas, Grand Celebration, and Carnival Sunrise... and we're ready for more fun. What's next on the mega vacay agenda after this sailing? One MORE sailing on a brand new cruise line for us!

My first cruise ever was on the Armonia in March. I loved every minute of it, and the Entertainment Staff were darlings. As soon as possible I want to go again, but I know the crew will be different.
We had such a great cruise with that staff... hoping things get back to some sort of normal sooner rather than later!!

That's awesome! We never did make it to arts & crafts, but we did get her singing in the variety show in this episode, and singing again at the loyalty party in tomorrow's episode. What a talent!! :D
Maya Chan looks great! I was on a Norwegian cruise last November and we stopped in Costa Maya. Wish I had known about this place. I was a bit sad to see it didn't seem very busy. Will definitely book it next time I'm in Costa Maya!
I'm thinking they had a busier morning with the NCL folks in town, but I'm surprised more folks from our ship didn't venture over! It's a cool spot, and we're already planning to head back there sometime soon!! :D

Maya Chan beach looks amazing! We struggled finding excursions at Costa Maya after doing the ruins on one trip, so we just stayed on the ship after that. But now we know! We're getting braver about booking independent activities after watching you guys, so thank you!
We’ve been going to Maya Chan since 2011! One of our favorite all inclusive days. PS you’re in our chairs! We always get assigned that same hut for some reason every time we’ve been.

Hello Dee and Jay. I don't know if I am doing this correctly or not. I met you two on the Pride back in November 2019. Thanks to you both for being the wonderful people I have enjoyed and still do enjoy watching on TH-cam. Dee, I asked you your name and if you packed everything? I got home from the cruise on Monday, November 18, 2019, and underwent quadruple by-pass surgery on November 22, 2019. I am well and waiting for the time I can get on another cruise. In the meantime, I continue watching and enjoying the hope and happiness you two share with us through your travels and "dance instructions". Continue to be blessed.

That resort on the beach reminds me of what the Florida Keys were like back in the 1980s and the 1990s. Especially on Marathon Key. I know how Dee felt leaving. We would go down there for a week and it wasn’t ever enough. I could have lived there the rest of my life. Unfortunately the Keys are extremely built up now and expensive to enjoy. It’s not like the old days.
It's always special to find a place that seems to take you back to simpler, calmer times. Loved it!! :D
And in Key West you could go to the Hemingway house & play with all the kitties. I got to stay at the Pier House at 1 Duval Street & enjoy Mallory Square!

Wow, that was so amazing! The Carnival Mardi Gras will be stopping there in Feb and I plan on making reservations, probably in December. Can’t wait!! I need a vacation so bad that I’m going cookoo! 😜

I'm surprised no one was there that day, other than one other group of maybe 5 people. I'm not sure how many folks the Norwegian ship sent their way, but they had cleared out by the time we got there. Love it!! :D

We started with Carnival because they had the best overall value, even though MSC has some super amazing prices! Overall to put things in super quick terms, I'd say Carnival is good value and lively fun; Royal is more bells & whistles like flow riders & ice skating; Norwegian is if you dislike things like fixed time dining and formal nights; MSC is more international and the least like all the other lines, ha ha...
You guys need to host your own cruise!
Thanks guys for this entertaining and informative series. We've not yet cruised with MSC but are looking at a Mediterranean itinerary with them for next year. From your video it looks like MSC is Broadly similar to the mainstream cruise lines but with enough difference to make it interesting. I wonder if non US cruises with MSC where the passengers are mostly European are significantly different yet again from that of their US itineraries.
That's awesome! I wonder the same... do they make any sort of changes based on the US market... Either way, we enjoyed our first foray into MSC and are eyeballing future sailings!! :P
You convinced me with the first video but when they delivered the drinks to the floaty seats, I was sold. I did not know there was a pool too! That's what they used the conch shells for on Gilligan's Island. Is there food served all day? Are frozen alcohol drinks included? Dinner looked good, fun show. ..see you later.🐸
Whoop whoop! They had snacks available the whole time we were there, which was the chips with guac & salsa, but the actual buffet lunch was prepared fresh and then we were invited to come eat at a certain time. When we were done, they closed 'er down. Funny, we didn't ask for any frozen drinks, but their website has them as included. We'll have to do a little more "research" when we get back in November, ha ha... :P
I noticed there wasn’t one other person there. Was it closed for your filming?
There was a group of five there in the cabana next to us, also from the Armonia. You can see them a little bit, kayaking in the background as we're in the water chairs, hah. No, we were the only ship in port at that point because the Norwegian ship had departed. It was just super empty!! :D

Curious on where you keep your valuables when going in ocean or pool on excursions? Great video!
We have some small travel locks that we can use to secure backpack straps and zippers together and to secure the backpacks themselves to some sort of awkward object just as a small deterrent. But I know some folks use the SafeGo or the KYSS Bag, and someone mentioned the Travelon Anti-Theft Backpack but we haven't checked out any of those fancy options yet. :P

We did an aft balcony on the pride. I do not recommend ever getting one. It was sooo hot. Especially at ports when the ship wasnt moving and the room stayed hot.😔
I've heard that some of those have no shade and get super hot... wow!!

I think we've had it for 4 or 5 years, and I don't remember what website it same from, but the brand is Aqua Lung. We also have a Seavenger set that has treated us well.

Costa Maya? We've only been three times, and two of those we never left the huge port area, hah. But we felt safe walking around and getting to the meeting point for Maya Chan. We've never ventured down to the beaches at Mahahual, but we've seen some videos of the bars and shops and things down there.
