Norfolk and Western Class J 611: First Run of 2017 | Ferry Move to Spencer

on January 6th, 2017, we chased 611 on her first run of 2017. Our chase began in Hurt, VA and ended in Spencer, NC. We stopped in many places along the way. Some of the footage you will see was filmed at a spot that we were the only ones at. It was about 35 degrees all day, which made the steam and smoke look really great. This video was recorded with a new camera; a Sony HDR-CX675.

I must say that I really enjoyed watching that video. Have subbed to your channel and liked the video.
Over here in the UK, we have steam specials as well but very few and far between with all of the modern units and locos that we have. Would like to come over one time just to get one of these specials but the cost requires a bank loan I think (lol)
Anyhow, looking forward to seeing the tours that 611 does this year and all the best in chasing her

Coal. One of the 2 things engines like 611 have to carry nowadays as water and coal towers are long gone.

Outstanding on the 611 with scenery in Back ground I would love for this to be ran on the Chicago Though Elkhart IN but that is wishful think Can't wait to Chase this one in the Spring!!
