They fixed the awful grill on the regular model, which really ruined the look of a very good looking car otherwise. It's worth the extra money for that alone. Unless you want a manual, it's a no brainer to get this one over the base models. As a former 350Z owner, I think it's a really compelling package, if a little pricey for it's segment, as you are nearly are a base C8 Corvette range, which is a big level up in performance. I'm glad to hear the transmission is more responsive. I currently have an m performance BMW and the ZF in that is amazing and really adds to the enjoyment of the car, so much that I drive in manual mode 95 percent often time. Great review!
Hello Byron, good report of the new Nissan Z Nismo 2024, we are waiting for our Nissan Z Nismo, a black one for a project and we want to recommend to you the number 1 Exhaust, Borla with a gain of 20 more horsepower on the wheels and the best sound you ever heard with our Borla ATAK Sound
Car looks amazing and I would love to have one but that is crazy amount of money. These companies adjust for inflation but don't consider wages have stagnated significantly comparatively. I also can purchase the new BMW M2 for the same price and that has the option for a manual.
i saw a 1974 fairlady z. or a 260 z. i loved the old datsun bodies and nissan in line 6 . A 4 speed ticket getter. i took my brothers got it to around 150 . much fun.
I've only ever owned Z's since 2010 as my sole car, so the 350 for 5 years and 370 for almost 9 now. I love the power upgrade and other features previously mentioned. Looks like the wheel arches are less aggressively flared compared to the 370 (bummer if true). Also, I was PRAYING for an interior redesign in the worst way. Literally been looking at the same dated interior in my cars for 13+. Same paneling and design...againagain. Steering wheel plastic on a 70k ride? No doubt there is a lot to like but this ride seems like around 12k above what it should be.
Good point! My concern is the steering it's different than the 370z, it's electric power steering now. I can switch lanes in a bout a second reaction time and still be able to handle at top speeds. This is what concerns me. The rear differential will need to handle that as well. I drive like I stole it so it's very important it handles the same as the 370 or better I hope!
Bmw has actual wider fenders, not stick-ons to the fenders. I think if this car had adaptive suspension so it had reasonable comfort on the street and also a manual it would be a decent buy. As it is, it is way too stiff for the street. Other cars have Recaro's with electric seats and seat heaters, so cheap on the seats.
Thanks for the review. It does look better in comparison to the Performance. I drive a 370Z Nismo and never liked the red trims (how do I take them off). Regardless, the Z Nismo is a better looking car than the Z. The look from the rear is not so great - too large a skirt. I wish they'd pull the sides a bit inwards to show parts of the larger rear tires. I don't mind the auto - I'm sure a manual will come soon given what Supra is doing. The exhaust note at idle needs some character. I didn't hear anything about the structural upgrades Nismo had to make to get this car to where it is. Basically, it'd be hard to have same car with just aftermarket parts. Pretty tempting, but with a 370Z Nismo and a '96 Z32 Twin Turbo, I'll need more garage space.
Nismo is overpriced. Base z is lighter same engine, and with upgraded turbos it can make 780whp on stock internals for a total of 58k, 42k+16k. It’ll eat almost any car.
@@Drive615 think a c8 is kinda worth it now. Not into the Z that much myself. Be happy to test drive a base what ever they call it now. Definitely write a check for that.
As a 2010 Nismo owner this isn't enough to make me "upgrade". The lack of power for the price is a big factor. Nissan is also well known for their cheap interiors and even though the Nismo is a bit better than the base model, it's still pretty mediocre. For that price tag it's just not good enough and I'd rather spend $20k putting a twin turbo in mine to get 500 to the wheels... and MSRP + that upgrade is still less than this.
500 to the wheels would be conservative with twin turbos. Z1 has a nice supercharger package that has a range of pulley and options to get from 450 to 600 at the wheels. I'll keep my 2011 touring base that I've wrenched on with bolt ons, sport brakes, etc. What will undoubtedly be a $70K car when the dealers mark it up can be beat with a $10K turbo/supercharger upgrade to a decent condition 370Z.
@@jbuelman2025 Yeah, it is conservative, but it's also what you can do on a stock block safely. The problem with the superchargers is that they are very prone to head soak, not to mention they require more boost for the same power targets. But SC is still a good solution.
I love your video but I was not impressed with the 2024 nismo tech my 2020 look way better than the 2024 with the wide body in the back I'm sorry to say I don't know nothing about that 2024
Sorry but, I really hate the look of it. Best looking ones are probably the 2014 nismo 370z. 2014 is the last of the two tone exterior color. What they need for 2024 is a nice spoiler, fender vents, front bumper vents also. A better hood.
To me here is what I see: a parts bin upgrade on a tired car platform that isn't keeping up with the competition, dealers have zero inventory and Nissan even raised the price and took away the manual. If you critically look across the Nissan/Infiniti line one can't help but get a whiff of death.. This car company is the new Chrysler.. All they build is garbage now with the exception of this Z. .I don't believe this Z is garbage.. but I don't think even if buyers can actually get their hands on one that its money well spent when you can easily either put a bit more down and get a way better car or spend less money and get something possibly as good thats been refreshed.
Honestly too much $$$. Taking the Z platform to another level but still similar to the old 370z. I can't honestly consider spending nearly $70K on this when that can buy me a used porsche. Forget that even, just not affordable for the average person.

Of course! Glad you enjoyed. Thank you
The only thing preventing me from buying a z nismo is it doesn’t have a manual transmission, if they do i already bought it from the start.

Man, I’m not a fan of black paint, but this car SINGS with black paint.
How is the headroom in it? I am 6’1” and trying to find a sports car that I will be comfortable in.

Have that said anything about making a manual variant ?

Best least biased review of the Nismo Z I've seen.

$67K ? I bought my brand new 1981 280ZX for $11k OTD.
