Enjoyed your take on Mt. Lebo. Grew up here in the 60`s. Went to Mellon J.H. and Mt. Lebanon High School. I left Pittsburgh in 1973. Have lived near Clearwater Beach Florida since then.
My love for Pittsburgh has not faded over this period. It has only become enhanced by the multitude of happy memories of being lucky enough to grow up here as a young boy. I am a 4 Season Guy trapped in the endless Summer of Florida. If i was a single person i would have moved back to the Burgh years ago. I love your videos, not only because you are a beautiful Girl, but because you are articulate and informative.. Thank you for restoring some of those Halcyon days of my youth. My love for Mt. Lebo and Pittsburgh in general lives on! My family history goes back generations. My Uncle was Matthew Clyde McCann who was an Architect . He was National President of the National Homebuilders Assoc. Mac was responsible for most of the large English Tudor style Mansions that still exist in Mt. Lebanon. Virginia Manor was one of his projects. There is a Street, McCann Place , just off of Beverly Road in his honor. Rob McCann

Wanted to move there, but wife wanted a newer built. I love the 'T' that connects with Downtown, the walkability, among other things.

I grew up in Upper St Clair in the 70's and early 80's. I loved playing tennis at the Lebo clay tennis courts. I have played tennis tournaments in all the areas you mentioned as a kid. I am in Tampa FL now, but hope to retire in the South Hills in the next few years

I grew up and raised my kids here until their high school years. One important fact is that the elementary schools do not have a lunch program. If you work full time, you will need to send a bag lunch for your children. Also, during snow days, there is a delay system which tends to be a 10:00 am start for all schools, let me translate this...If you have multiple kids in different age levels (elementary, middle, high school) you will need both parents to delay work days to drive your kids to different schools all starting at the same time. A Huge traffic nightmare!!! Good luck!

I think walking home from school isn’t bad at all. It keeps your kids in decent shape. I grew up here in the Lincoln School Twin Hills area. I wouldn’t have your kids walk to school unless they live very close. But walking home is good. My quads/legs/glutes were super ripped in high school from walking home everyday and then working at Atrias 4 days a week. Great place to grow up.

The joke abt walking to school, which I did to elementary and high school is that it was half a mile each way, uphill in both directions.

Your videos are great, could only be improved by adding one or two cats.

When you say people want something that fills like an urban suburb, you also root for the Stillers, whereas I root for the Iggles.

We know the real reason there is no public transport 5 letters. That's a great law.
