very reliable ride. I drive a 2011 XLT and it's giving me nothing but smooth rides, excellent steering, and nice sound. The V6 models are sweet but most of them are front wheel drive. or the ones I have seen at least. Can't go wrong with the 4 and AWD. (especially somewhere where weather is a factor of life) Accelerates surprisingly quicker than I thought it would and have passed many cars on the highway with ease. overall very responsive engine and very smooth steering.
Noah Jassim I have a 2011 xlt with a v6 and 4wd. Only problem I have with it at the moment is my trunk stopped opening which is this models problem. But other than that I love the car. Mine also has chrome rims and a sunroof. I love it.
@@samanthaleisher397 It's because the gasket around the rear window leaks. There is an upgraded version you can get from Ford. Unfortunately you have to replace the electronics that open the gate because the water ruin them. Should have been a recall on them. But I love my 2011 Ford Escape XLT V6 AWD. I have a 2012 Escape & is the best thing I've ever owned!!! The very first thing I noticed about it is the easy steering & excellent handling. Also the ride is the smoothest I've ever experienced & I've been driving for over 30 years. I've also noticed a lot of taxi cabs in NYC are Ford Escapes. Also car rental places often rent them. I think that says a lot about the reliability.
I have one of these in the Limited trim, it has far exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant to buy a 4 cylinder, it has enough power in the city but don't expect to pass quickly on the highway.
My engine never roared at idle like yours does. Mine was quiet. I used full synthetic motor oil on mine ; it's alot better and easier on your motor parts.
I OWNED A 2009 LIMITED FWD AND IT WAS GREAT ; I GOT TAKEN WHEN I TRADED THE SUV BUT I MISS IT AND WILL GET ANOTHER ONE SOON. IT'S 4 CYL. WAS GREAT ON GAS.

Yes it is a noisy engine, but it's a really good engine. It's more quiet when run on synthetic oil. Mine has over 200k and I've never had a problem with it. you can give it a tune up in less than 15 minutes.

remember to tell them they can spin the key fast and it will start they dont have to hold the key turned to start it

I had the same question! My gear shifter also doesn’t light up at night.
The little embedded knob beside the steering does this.
