That is a great story! Very inspiring and motivating! You took the appropriate actions and the Universe guided you all the way because you listened! Thank you for being so open 😊
Jacob, you are wise beyond your years. I am old and your advice about taking action at 10:20 in the TH-cam is so true. I was down in a rut regarding an issue in my life. Thanks for reminding me about what I need to do to get what I want.
Great story and glad people reached out to help you. What I found out when I moved to Summerlin is that the Vegas employment market is all about networking. Whether your friends or family members work at a casino or restaurant is a MAJOR boost providing you have some experience too. What I also found out in Vegas, especially in the government sector, is things are run like the wild wild west. Vegas is so far behind in technology than other cities. Those two things became very frustrating for me and I ended up moving back to the Midwest for a better quality of life. Glad it worked out for you and thanks for these videos.
I agree with you on your techniques for finding a job. My wife and I moved from Ohio to California after I graduated from college. We moved out here and I would call at least ten people a day plus send out resumes. Finally I got a job as a stage manager and after several years I became a director of sitcoms. Over the years I did some of the most famous shows ever. Just like you said it takes action and tenacity.
You are right nobody is going to help you, that just the fact of life, YOU have to go out and get it, I will be going to vegas for about a week in a few months gonna try an take a look around different areas. I can't wait to get out the midwest

A late comment here, but this is an awesome story. Love it. I am all about action as well. I have a similar story as you when I made a choice to move from my hometown just south of San Jose. I moved to the Los Angeles Area and have been here for a many years now. But without taking action and having that little bit of money in my pocket and the drive to find a job, I would have failed. I too never had luck, I just took action and made it happen. Thanks for sharing this story, kinda brought back memories of how I got started after I finished school. And I didn't reach out to any resources like you did. I had to do the footwork myself. But thumbs up to you for utilizing all your resources.
Moving to Vegas in July! I have a couple of potential jobs lined up already but even if I didn’t I’m not worried about it whatsoever! I know I can find a job no problem:) I’m excited to be in a different city!
Thank you very much Jacob. This video is definitely very helpful you are appreciated. I've been talking about moving to Vegas for awhile now I really believe it's time.
I moved here 8 months ago and wished I had known about your blog then. I too love my new Vegas life! Everything you speak of in your blogs is right on target. I agree with your action, energy, focus comment. Great videos and a great story Jacob!
Great story on how you came to LV, Jacob. My plans involve working as an educator at CCSD. Major issues with the management of the large district. Layoffs predicted for new teachers 2017-2018 school year. Hiring freeze currently in place. Let's hope that CCSD can figure it out soon.
Luck??? I think not. The truth is: The harder you work, the luckier you get. It was the fact that you hustled to make it happen, luck had nothing to do with it. You have a good future ahead of you, you will make things happen. Best of luck to you..
BEST video yet! Jacobs testimony PROVES THAT: Activity gets results and positive visualization works. Not just Vegas and not just work, for any positive improvement focused decision! If you set out to do good, the world conspires to help you. It's a practice Ive subscribed to. Jacob, go write yourself a check for income as a motivational speaker and CASH IT! #inspired
Now I'm really moving to Las Vegas after dealing with this hurricane Irma craziness. I escaped to Alabama so thank goodness I'm safe! Viva las,Vegas sounds better already! Lol. I want to work as cocktail waitress , poker dealer or bartender so I'm hoping it will go well😊
Jacob, I too believe you get from the universe what you put out! I’d tell a recent example of this but it’s too much to type here. LV might possibly be my next spot but I’m seeing how things pan out. I am putting in effort, but ultimately the universe will guide me. There are other things going on to. Looking for work with AA at the airport now because I currently work in the airline industry in Texas.
ya man i love your videos. Great way to get it done. Trying to explain the move to my German wife. She and I are deciding how we do it. And try to explain thats its a different town within a town. And there is oppurtunities everywhere. Thanks man for the videos imformative and really great you include Henderson. Because to me and Green Valley is one of the greatest places to live on earth. And im in city centre Munich. It has entertainment with a small town feel. Thanks Brother.
Just found out that you were from San Jose, great. I am from bay area and wonder about moving to Vegas. Can you give me some pointers? Places in Summerlin and Henderson to visit? I may go there to buy a place eventually. Can you show me how I can familiar with the local scenes specifically in Henderson and Summerlin? Where local people will go? Thanks. B.
I'm thinking of moving to Las Vegas from Meridian,Idaho right by Boise. I grew up in Nampa,Idaho I'm born and raised here in Idaho. The outdoors are great the camping, fishing, hiking in Idaho is great but I grew up in Idaho and have never lived anywhere else I'm looking at moving to Las Vegas/Henderson Area I've been watching your videos Jacob and I like what I see.Idaho isn't as bad as California what people say about California I could never live there you said a lot of people From Southern and Northern California move to southern Nevada that's the same as The Treasure Valley the Boise Metro Area we have a lot of native Californians here so I here you being from California never wanting to live there again. I can always come back to see family in Boise but I want to move to Vegas I visited a couple times and I like it I'll just have to find the right job situation I'm sure I can so I'm guessing moving from Idaho to Vegas is different than moving from the bay area to Vegas but I still want to do it.Do you have any advice for me moving there what I need to do what plan I should have before I move to Southern Nevada?
Hey Jacobs do you have any tips on how to get a job in vegas if you have a Felony or any type of criminal background I made a stupid decision back in high school now I'm looking for a better life
That will certainly prevent you from getting a portion of jobs, especially on the strip. I've come across a person or two with a felony that is still able to get work outside of physical labor. Your best bet is to probably just be up front with your potential employer, explain the situation as best you can, and explain how you have changed since then. Most employers will run a background check, so omitting your past won't win you any points if they find out.
Hi Jacob, I have a question..I plan on moving to Vegas this summer also from California and I am looking to get into Chauffering/Limo Driving and possibly Rideshare as well. I know you have another Vid about the topic of work cards, but do you recommend I try to get a Business License or a Nevada Driv License with passenger endorsement before I move there permanently...or is this not possible until I am a resident there? These are the cards I have been told I will need for this line of work. Thanks for all the Vids. ;)
Jacob I have a question. I'm from California. What is a good area to live in North Las Vegas. Hopefully moving the end of the month. please help me 😌 thank you
RoseyMares I just moved from Redondo Beach California after 14 years in west LA. I would suggest you check Henderson. Prettt nice area. Just landed a temp gig as well and I cannot thank enough Jacobs for all the tips.
It's funny that you ask about North Las Vegas because I was just filming some nice homes there the other day. Aliante is probably the most popular area in NVL. You can also check out Eldorado. There are also plenty of nice neighborhoods along Centennial Parkway, Anne Road, Tropical, etc. NLV has grown a lot in recent years. I feel it has more nice areas than even many locals realize.
A little off topic but are you familiar with the transportation from st George Utah to Vegas? I'm moving to St George until I find a job in Vegas but I still want to visit
Jacob me and my wife have been applying to jobs in Vegas for at least 3 months but haven't had any luck we are still in CA and want to move once one of us finds a job any advice ?
Going in person definitely helped me get familiar with places and helped them see I was serious about applying (depending on your field). Also having a Vegas number (google voice) helped as well. I got way more callbacks when I provided a Vegas area code.
I have a question and hopefully you can answer this for me if I have a bartending certificate that is from California am I able to use that in Vegas or would I have to attend Bartending School in Las Vegas just wondering if you would have any information about this thank you
Hi Andrew. Yes, I can. Please book a time that works for you, and I will respond after you have booked a time clarity.fm/jacoborth I have helped numerous people on this platform so far, and am happy to help you too!
You said you played at San Jose State my family are big Boise State fans we play San Jose State every few years. What was your experience playing Boise State in College?
Richard W flights from Manchester vary from £450-£650 return depending on season. I always stay in Tuscany hotel and suites, just off strip half price of cesars. And it’s only 800metre walk. It’s about £600 a week. I looked last week I could of had a deal for £450 including taxes and resort fees parking is free aswell. And I budget $150 a day spend. If you want to gamble or take in a show or Grand Canyon add that on top. Hope this helps👍
Oops sorry lol, I wrote this question prematurely before you said San Jose State haha... Did any of your teammates are currently famous playing in the NFL? If so, who? lol

Thanks! Visiting is definitely a good idea. It makes a big difference when you get to see the area for yourself instead of what's just on TV
