Tony DeRosa. He is actually singing the tenor here. He won BBS quartet gold with Keepsake, Platinum, Max Q and Main Street. Phenomenal singer. Can hold a chest Ab note forever.
Tony DeRosa is the guy in the striped shirt with his back to the camera. He sang in a group called Voctave, and in several barbershop quartets. The Voces 8 singer is the blond haired guy in the tux-- his name is Blake Morgan.
That sequence from 40 to 46 is amazing. I think Tony going from the 3rd to 5th and switching to a full voice on the 5th just puts it over the top. I don't hear any other tenors doing that with this tag on TH-cam, but that little detail sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing this video.
As amazing as all these singers are, this is the most I've ever seen the baritone carry a tag tbh. Perfect volume relative to the group, great vowel match with everyone and an excellent lock with the bass, what more could you ask for?
@@onpointquartet have a great partner-in-crime filling out baritone to create immense fundamentals! Globetrotting and locking 5ths with Kory Reid was amazing practice. There's all kinds of harmonics and subharmonics here :)))) awesome e.g.: - from 00:46 a subharmonic - octave below the bass (also at the final chord the subharmonic can be heard; a bit softer though) - at the final chord a harmonic : the 5th(as in high F) can be heard. etc
It looks like Blake Morgan (Chanticleer Tenor) on bass (facing camera), Adam Ward (Chanticleer Alto) on baritone (on right; teaching the tag), Tony DeRosa (back to camera) singing tenor, and Drew Ochoa (Lead from after hours, signally Tony). I don't know who's posting (singing lead).

This is 'the whole piece'. It's called a tag - guys who sing barbershop harmony enjoy the ends of songs (where a lot of interesting harmonies are added, sort of like 'dessert') so much that special endings are written just for this purpose. That's what this is, a tag. There ain't no more. :D

I think it would be nice to add a couple more voices in there. From 0:42 (you can have someone keep the same note as the 2 while the other guy drops to the half one and then sliding to one while the other guy moves to 6. I love the baritone sign guy. Every quartet should have a baritone sign guy. He's the coolest cat there.
He's giving the notes for the tenor

Gosh, those three chords between 0:41-0:46 are so darn pretty. Love it!
I love to use this when my voice is feeling particularly low and take it down an octave, what wonderful singing

The baritone is Kory Reid -- Countertenor in Chanticleer. This was a blast!

Why’s captain America singing
What was the After hours member on the left trying to signal to Tony for him to sing the correct notes? Chord numbers?
Mathew James just the degrees of the scale he should sing. It’s easy because the tune only has 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

It’s degrees of the diatonic scale. Sort of a substitution for moveable Do.
