We run swaploader hoists on all our hooklift trucks. They are very good hooklifts. We run Kenworth trucks with Swaploader 180,185,212,240 models. I have a couple 05-06 International 4300 that we bought first but the cabs are not as good as the KWs. Inside noise of the International much louder than the KWs.

What made you go with International over the other brand trucks . Have thought about buying a used truck instead of new one and put that extra money into having a bunch of containers .

HHProgressiveconstruction after the 1 used older truck I bought when I started residential I won’t go back unless it’s a year or 2 old with low miles. Unfortunately the price of a truck like this isn’t much less that “new used”. Also I want the warranty and this dealerships other location is close.

Lake Champlain Sanitation Yeah having a close dealership helps for break downs if they happen . I was looking and I seen you can get a hnio for like 100,000 .

Great videos man! What made you want to switch to a hooklift set up instead of the pj rollster trailer set up?

@@chvellenut the investment was not worth it to do $100-125k per year in dumpsters. I enjoy residential, dumpsters and junk removal all together and a truck that size doesn’t make nor would it make financial sense in my opinion until that 1 truck is producing 200k plus a year in sales and in my area 15YD dumpsters would be hard to do that with

@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 Ya I was looking into the same thing here and our market sounds similar to yours. Those hooklifts are a big pill to swallow. We have gone to mostly residential pickups and renting out dumpsters where we only pickup twice a month. That has worked great having steady rental income for each dumpster out there and reducing our number of pickups to every other week. Sounds like the roll off trailers are going to be the best route for us! Thanks for sharing the great content.

What issues are you seeing with International? - Im running a CV series and so far the only issue Ive faced is the Allison transmission is not powerful enough to run the PTO while in gear (so when i drop cans I have to be in park with the brake engaged, has not been an issue so far through) - Just curious as I only have 4k miles on the truck so far THANKS!
