I see a lot of people struggling with this, here are some other tips: Work on tornado kick until it's nice and floaty. It's an important prerequisite for 540 kick and pretty much all cheat kicks. Push your hips to the sky as you jump, as it changes your rotation axis from your lower body to your chest, allowing you to kick over your hips. Pull the opposite (non-kicking) leg back and bend it behind your kicking leg. Don't forget to spot your target. Drill it until you can do it in your sleep.
