I would be ashamed to say I did that to that hammer. That machine is older than their fathers and they have ZERO RESPECT for it. I cant see one thing they did that I would approve of.that machine is now in worse condition than when they started. All that sand that is now in that machine is sure to destroy it😅
It is clear that people there think very differently about overhauling a machine than in the West. And it's fascinating to see how they do it with almost nothing.
I agree with you. They have little or no idea about ‘Health & Safety’, but having stripped the machine down fully, it’s a pity they couldn’t either sand-blast or rub down the paintwork. Then to (in my opinion) spray paint it in a slap-dash manner was almost criminal.
All of the sand and grinding dust is sure to destroy that hammer i used more grease on my w124 wheel bearings than they used in the whole machine. I am surprised they didn't try to reuse the old grease from bearings 😂
I’ve been almost solely repairing, rebuilding, and restoring this type of hammer, full time, professionally, since 2009, and this is NOT how I do it. These guys are hacks and did some really bad things here.
This is one of the worst machine "restorations" I have ever seen. Yes you are working with what you have and are trying to keep parts as clean as you can. Everything needed to be cleaned with degreaser including the case before reassembly. All parts should have been coated with light machine oil as you reassembled the machine, not putting them in dry. The new bearings were not properly greased as far as I could see. All of the contact surfaces should have been wipes down with a fine grit Emory cloth.
Don't they have ratchet sets in that country? Have seen many videos from there, but never seen anyone use it. In my country, it is absolutely necessary in all industries, and many also own it privately.
Why are a few always standing around talking shit?? Is it a cultural thing or did their shift just end? I keep a bucket of dirt in my shop. Often I forget, but I try and sprinkle some in various mechanical assemblies. Adds life. Promise. The guy next door has a lathe in the alley. Why not whittle a chunk of ship salvage into proper bearing tools?
I will bet a &100.00 that machine will run and work great for another 20 years . Di you not see them oil and wipe that parts that need it . Probably more skill than most so called workers in other countries.

I guess it's like when car salesmen wash the engine and polish the paint but the only mechanical or electronic part they touch is the odometer to fake the mileage ;-)
I'm a retired engineer and am utterly perplexed as to how these people work! Are they from this planet?
You do realize, this video speed is increased?
This smart people made nukes too!😮 I guess country is Pakistan...
Life of this machines is eternal! They need it for earn his lives!

You can tell that the painter is a specialist. He gets shoes not sandals.
The first important rule is not to use hammers directly on the rings ( roller bearings) because, being hardened, they are sensitive to impacts
Nothing will work unless covered in dirt and muck. bearings will be of no use unless hammered in, all dirt must be left in place.

No restoration, no care, not even cleaning. Indeed, it is an “incredible restoration process.”

Nice to see the wookies working together after the star wars films stopped shooting on their planet.Nothing sadder than a wookie out of a job.
They just go back to waring against other tribes and go to bacha bazi tent at night.
Look up bacha bazi on here. Very popular with them
Good sharing👍👍👍👍👍
Dirt and hammers there's a way to work on machinery. So great for it
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Very nice engine.

hahahahahahaha . This is a jock !
Clean? We don need no stinking clean.
13:51 Looks like the bearings are old.
Odd that they manufacture well designed ratchets but most workers use a wrench.
If one were to crush a foot with their safety sandles on would they get sick pay?

Notice we don’t get to see it run in this video.
amazing!
brilliant workers but where are their masks for painting lungs don't work full of paint
They never pickup anything, all the trash, garbage, scraps. Did they start in a garbage dump, or trying to convert the shop into one.

I'm sure they do, but the shops using ratchets don't have a TH-cam channel ;-)
Dirt ,sand ,dirty grease used bearings , rough cardboard gaskits what could go wrong.
That barbarians working like cavemen did not even wash the pieces before assembling
do you not wash all the parts before rebuild very oor show lads a rush job

I am wondering, How many workers die while doing their job in this country.
They are still at 17. century😢
All you people commenting about the work. You have no idea what poverty is. They are having to do with what they got.
