    Also seems that when responding to our emotions, anger or any other, it provides an internal reward... so people "enjoy" responding spontaneously to their emotions, even if those emotions are not aligned with their long term goals, desires and integrity. Choosing to control our own reactions is decreasing this immediate reward, so it is a trade-off not to be neglected to better understand behaviours.

      Anger is a valid emotion that serves a useful purpose. Maybe you or someone else are violating your boundaries. Anger provides clarity about what's appropriate and what's not. It's how we assert our beingness. But just like any other emotion that can disempower you, anger has a shelf life. It's when you hold onto your anger that it can turn toxic and eventually sabotage your life.
