If it has that black O-ring, that’s right above the threads, please do not use Teflon. You’re actually going to make it worse and more likely to leak. That black O-ring is specifically there to stop leaks and it doesn’t play well with Teflon tape.
Now I understand why I sometimes see a white ribbon under the nuts of the connection of the water supply lines. such illiterate video authors cause a lot of problems to people who repeat their terrible mistakes!
@@arguetav If you pause the video 1:15 . I remember reading that that black O-ring is the reason why. It's designed to act like a gasket after you make the connection, so doesn't allow water to leak out. Make sense?

Very well done
Thank you very much!
What was wrong with the “old fridge?
Normally Samsungs are junk after a few months
My fridge doesn't have water dispenser, just ice maker. Is it the same procedure? I'm worried "too much water" will come into the refrigerator.
Same procedure, no such thing as too much water. The fridge will only use what it needs.
My ice maker doesn’t work is it because I don’t have a water line ?
@@lyfewitjada496 how is it supposed to make ice with no water ?
🐐
The magnets......

Teflon is not needed
May I ask why? Is the compression fitting enough?
@@arguetav it's not a compression fitting

I have the same fridge and I tightened the nut as much as it would go but still there's tiny leak. Maybe I will try Teflon.
