  • Altamount Road, also known as India's Billionaires’ Row, is an affluent neighbourhood in Mumbai, India.
    The area is notable for some of the most expensive residences in the world consisting of ultra-luxurious residential skyscrapers, constructed or in development. It is the most expensive street in India and 10th most expensive in the world.
    The most prominent buildings on the street are The Imperial, Lodha Altamount, Antilia and Raheja One Altamount. The ultra-luxury building boom in the area predates the term "Billionaire's Row."

    Mumbai is a great city
    Superb people, amazing energy and everything is just so lovely but Infrastructure is very terrible. Idk why BMC and Maharashtra government failed to make Mumbai's infrastructure at par with other financial capitals of the world.
    I think Mumbai needs a huge infrastructure project to update its Infrastructure completely. It must look like a world class city, afterall its the richest city with more than 10% contribution to our economy.

      @@piyushsharan585 Its impossible with huge north-indian population. Specially North Indian labour unions which protects the slums. When you have no interest and uplift your self how will we be get world class things. The native marathi population has uplift themselves in education and human development parameters but expensive luxurious apartments are out of their budget as well therefore they are moving to outskirts of Mumbai for better. North indians will soon become majority and mumbai and they will transform mumbai into patna.

      Yes I agree but you forgot one thing. Delhi is a capital and has seperate State government to manage the whole city and nearby areas of NCR whereas mumbai comes under municipal corporation like any other city which has some limitations to manage infrastructure and all. Delhi having state government gets a lot of revenue from its area and from various sector Whereas mumbai municipal corporation can not retain its all revenue. That's the reason you see such a difference.

      South Mumbai is a kind of heritage. The government hasn't changed anything in South Bombay to preserve its real character and look. I SoBo has the richest neighborhood in the country and the people there are mostly working there or living there for ages. Btw I don't know how BMC and Maharashtra government work, I mean this is the financial capital of India but Infrastructure of Mumbai isn't even close to Bangalore and Noida, forget about Tokyo and New York. This is very disappointing that we still have poor roads, terrible drainage and lots of slums in our financial capital. Mumbai is a lovely and great city but BMC and Maha Govt are failing its glory.

      @@piyushsharan585 Look at the pavements in other rich areas like JVPD. It's so beautiful it brings me tears. Not a single encroachment on the main road pavements, kilometres of uniform 6 ft wide pavements and cute houses and small luxe buildings neatly placed in the blocks between the gridlike streets.
      The pavements are also awesome at dadar and Matunga
      Mumbai's infrastructure is far superior to Bangalore. It's not even remotely close. They flood in 90mm of rain. Bombay only floods with 150+ that too not in rich areas like what happened in Bangalore. Their water situation is dire. They have routine power cuts which is unheard of in Bombay. They also do not have pavements in most places except around Cubbon park and few other areas. Their transport system sucks with rickety metros that have a small carrying capacity, and rickshaws that do not follow the meter. It has insane traffic without any skyscrapers. I don't know what people are imagining. What would happen to its water and traffic if it had South Central Mumbai type skyscrapers. No, Mumbai's infra is the best in India and its thanks to the British, not our scumbag politicians. There I agree with you. BMC and Maharashtra suck

    • @piyushsharan585
      @piyushsharan585 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@milaanvigraham8664 Thanks a lot for your comment. Maybe you are right but What i saw is that Mumbai's infrastructure needs improvement. I didn't say Mumbai infrastructure is not good. I said Mumbai infrastructure isn't at par with the financial capitals of other major economies and this is true. Apart from SoBo, The average speed in Mumbai or even on the Expressway is too low as compared to other financial and economic hubs. Btw I don't agree that Mumbai Infrastructure is best. Talking about Bangalore, The Intracity connectivity roads are very good in Bangalore and their Elevated Expressway is far better than peripheral expressways of Mumbai. Munbai is an old city and everything can't be created from scratch but It seriously needs improvement. When our car gets jerks on many roads of Mumbai, It feels so disappointing that such a good city with such a high potential is facing such issues because of corruption and low maintenance of roads. Slums are another problem which we have failed to solve till today. At least our Financial capital should be slum-free. I know little about the politics of Slum areas and why they are avoided but It puts a serious question on our development.
      Btw Transportation in Mumbai is heaven. Meter taxi to cheap Local, even a poor person can take a tour of Mumbai easily. These things are excellent but the infrastructure part needs improvement as per my opinion. I understand the challenges Mumbai has to face because of the crowd and skyscrapers but still authorities can improve.

    • @milaanvigraham8664
      @milaanvigraham8664 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@piyushsharan585 The city's infrastructure is not on par with international financial hubs, yes. But it is far superior to Bangalore. I listed several aspects of infrastructure. Highways alone are not the be all of infra. Besides, we also have smooth elevated expressways even if not as many as Bangalore - a famous example is the eastern freeway. Even the eastern express Highway is almost never blocked. And one can mention the short Bandra worli sea link. Bangalore roads are always blocked and is known for this. A few good long distance highways do not change the daily road situation there.
      Electricity, water, sewer system, pavements, civic laws, transportation... all of this is far superior in Mumbai. In Bangalore a few highways are better, and potholes are far less, that's all. I see no comparison. Bombay is the god of cities in India despite all its shameful flaws.
