Wow truly amazing show. First time saw on Nashville TNN and my dad love his music, guess say like father like daughter, so time was at Fan Fair Nashville state Fair. Back 1989. Wow, would have never guessed that he was 80 from this video. I remember seeing him on The Nashville Network years ago and loved his stuff ever since. He is a wild man, or should I say, "The Raging Cajun".

What was wrong with Jo-el Sonnier.? It seems he pretty much needed to be begged by Doug Kershaw to come and join on a couple songs and did so out of respect for Doug and Steve Riley and his sick wife. Could this have been around the time that Jo-el’s Wife passed away from Cancer? Anyone know?

It appears that Jo-el Sonnier has some health issues. However in his day he was one of the best Cajun Music Performer ever. Just happy he was able to perform this day.
