I've been late to the party on the Giga Dinos but I've now got all four (chrome for all; red for Swoop) and I really like them. They may attract criticism for how few things they put out but I think, through staying the course, not getting distracted by other projects, and looking after ALL their fans by releasing both the metallic and chrome versions (without price hikes for premium paint or keeping quiet about the premium version to trick fans into double-dipping), I think they have built a real reputation for quality, trustworthiness and value. Can't wait for Superator and can't wait to see what they tackle after completing their Gigasaurs! For fixing your Soar, I recommend drilling and pinning the joint. I also recommend Devcon plastic welder over Araldite (3 tonnes per square inch - not that far short of ABS toy grade plastic!).
As soon as I saw the first Guttur review way back then, I knew my Dinobots were going to be GigaDinos. My first was Chromed Grassor and as soon as I got him out of the box I fell in love with everything about that figure. But what struck me the most was that red chrome. Then I got 2 Graviters and then 2 Gutturs and now both colored Swoops. All chromed eds. Still need to get my 2nd Grassor and of course, the king himself. Two of each. I think I've been one of the " loudest" GigaPower supporters on the FaceBook groups. I know we are many. lol I mean... I know FTs dinos are great too, but there's something extra about the Gigas that, for me at least, blows the other ones away. GigaPower all the way! Can't wait for Superator and his throne and can't wait to see what else are they going to bring us after they are done with the Dino team. As always, great review, man! Thanks so much!
Both versions look great. I especially like the leg transformation simple but effective engineering right there, very clever. Personally I’m happy with my FT Soar though, great review as always Ben
I've been screwed here, I pre-ordered mine early enough and didn't get any lights or remote although I did get the stalks they mount on. On the eye issue Ben, the eye size and shapes are different and as such they wont swap over, so not down to a tab issue. Ultimately if folks want red eyes in "normal" face then its a matter of painting. Cheers for the unmasking of my secret identity, lol.

He says it at about 1:08. You have to get the metallic version which comes with the flame effects but you lose the gold arms and spotlights for the base if you get that version.
Hey There Ben... I just order this guy off Ebay and the one I received came in the HQ-05R Box... However, the chest doesn't really seem to be chrome, it looks more like a shiny blue metallic paint. The abdomen area is a darker blue while the chest, and the groin are lighter color blues... Is that how the Chrome Chest version should be? It's hard to tell with the lighting in these Blue Chrome videos I've seen...
@@Benscollectables Yep... It's the lighting in the reviews that make it look a lot more genuine chrome. More like the vacmetal chrome seen on the Gold Chest found on Grinder... The strangest part to the one I have is that the Abdomen area is a much darker blue than the Chest and Groin. Not sure if there's a difference between the 1st and 2nd releases or not. Btw.. Thanks for the response!
@@Benscollectables One last question.... if you're still available. Did you ever get all your lights working? Online I found that it said 2 (AG10s) for the lights, but your video said (3). I got mine to work with both 2 and 3 inserted into each. The lights did seem stronger using the 3 you recommended. However, I'm using 389s, I was told they are inter-changable with the AG10s. I really love lighting effects so I was planning on using the two I have, and buying 4 more to have all slots filled. But, they immediately stopped working, they only worked a few times before shutting down. Do yours still work?
@@Benscollectables Oh no worries... I was just wonder if there was an issue with those Spot Lights. I went ahead and sent a message to Giga, so we'll see what they say... I'm a sucker for lighting effect gimmicks... So I was really hope to have six working spot lights, that would be so very cool imo. Thanks for the response tho!
That’s awesome that the eyes can be interchangeable. My biggest complaint with the Gigasaurs so far are the eye colors being fixated on certain expressions. Is the angry face eyes slightly angled versus the resting face eyes?
They're both great... But, I think the blue wins... Even from a pure aesthetic point of view, not considering the animation color. That blue just really pops, far more than the red (imo).

Haven't had any problems with my Fanstoys figs, people call the last few of their figs shotty but I always flip my Fanstoys figs around with ease, gotta transform them more than once.
No flame effect for the chrome. 🙄 Why do these companies do dick moves like that? Are we not paying enough? Are we not loyal enough? Geezly-whizzlerz 🔥🐲
That stand is just the most horrendous and ugly looking thing ever. Going to hang up my copy of this guy with transparant fishing thread from a little plastic hook on the 'ceiling' of my cabinet. So much more subtle.

While that ratchet joint it's tight it sounds and looks very fluid in terms of dynamic poses. I can't wait to get one.

Shodaximus that sounds right, the chrome is on the claws and thighs and the wings the chest should still be reflective though
