After recently starting a journey to rediscover God (I was raised as a Catholic but became an atheist in my 20s) and recently completing Marcus Borg’s book, The God We Never Knew’, I had my first conversation with God yesterday which started by mentioning that I still wasn’t sure about God’s existence. I asked for a sign and this morning whilst reading an article about Stormzy in The Guardian, there was a link to your youtube channel crediting you both for increasing applications to Oxbridge amongst the black community. I scrolled through your videos and started with this one and it honestly left me in tears. If ever there was a sign to help me continue to pursue my relationship with God, this was it. I deal with depression and anxiety and on disability, yet I started a wellness business using drumming since it has helped calm my mind and wanted to share this with others (the population I serve now are seniors and hospital patients, as well as nursing staff to help with burnout). I prayed about it and see how things fall into place and some things fall apart...my journey so far sounds so similar to yours and is comforting to know someone else sometimes doubts if they are on the right path for God to use me. However in those pressuring low times I have been looking to the Lord for comfort and for security by reading his word and praying everyday! I know that God is taking me out of my comfort zone and putting me through hard situations so that I can grow and look to him to fill the void in my life! I suffer low mood at least once a month v bad pms and it tries to steal my vibrancy but no one and no weapon or situation formed against me shall EVER prosper and this ive seen as true many times. Courtney just found this video and your REAL down to earth testimony is the spark I needed! I deal with depression and anxiety and on disability, yet I started a wellness business using drumming since it has helped calm my mind and wanted to share this with others (the population I serve now are seniors and hospital patients, as well as nursing staff to help with burnout). I prayed about it and see how things fall into place and some things fall apart...my journey so far sounds so similar to yours and is comforting to know someone else sometimes doubts if they are on the right path for God to use me. Thank You for your authenticity!

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your raw beauty, honesty and motivation. I don't know why I thought this video would be a good choice for background noise during revision because within 30 seconds I was looking at the screen wide eyed and in awe. Your story doesn't deserve the background but the foreground. I have never met you but your words, they speak to my soul. You- in 12 minutes, described every single emotion and thought that has haunted me all my life. I cried to this video because you have been where I am now. You made me feel like I am not the only one, you have given me hope that it will get better and you have stoked within me the flame I feared would die out.
