    The Ryobi P755 blower packs quite a punch for its size, at 1/2 the cost of the competition. Biggest downsides are lack of attachment accessories and no lock-on trigger.

    Some other ideas to use it for, Clearing fresh powder off your car, blowing off lawn equipment before putting it away, possibly cleaning out gutters if you have open gutters, Blow out any dirt or whatever from between the fins in your AC unit if you do that... possibly blowing sand off your feet at the beach, blowing out a tent while camping maybe...

    Handy little device, I use mine quite a bit......One thing that it's really good for is cranking up an outside fire. Chuck on some Aussie Hardwood, give it a Blow Job and away she goes. That's what I actually bought mine for, but handy on the verandah as well.

    Late to the party here, I was looking at a plug in dust blower to keep on top off my Lego sets on display that like to trap dust . That has different tips you can change etc and is more concentrated, I will also use for blowing out dust in electronics. I then noticed this for £10 cheaper and I have quite a few Ryobi tools already, including the large garden leaf blower. You think this mini would be too much for the uses above, and I would be better off with the concentrated dust blower.

    How does this compare to a shop vac blower?
    And is this going to be enough for a workshop , or is it a good idea to get the leaf blower version? I like the form factor I'm just wondering if it's strong enough?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good for clearing sawdust/leaves/light debris out of a shop or garage. It's nice that it's got a shorter nozzle, since it gets into corners more easily. The 3 speeds are nice if you want to coax debris out of a corner without scattering it up overhead everywhere too. But it's a little underpowered for large areas or for outdoor areas. I'd say it depends on the shop vac blower, but it will probably be better than some.

    @scottmarshall6766 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    50 bucks buys a helluva broom (broom, bench brush, dustpan, etc. with change left over) which is faster, quieter, and doesn't get debris in my coffee.
    I like power tools, but this is one in search of a reason. I'll save my batteries for making the dust, then I'll take 5 minutes to clean up the dust.
    BUT....
    Ryobi made a terrific stick/hand vac until a couple of months ago (4/2020), just found one at a Home Depot that hadn't been snapped up by the re-sellers doubling the price on ebay. I don't know why they discoed this great vac, maybe there's a better one coming?
    Even at the $229 list, it's a great machine, runs circles around Hoovers and Sharks at twice the price and comes with "always ready" wall charger and a 4 AH Ryobi ONE+ battery (Battery is $99 MSRP) so Vac is really only $129 and is a REAL power tool.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To each their own, I suppose. Ryobi is coming out with a new stick vac. I have the old one - my main complaint about it is the debris canister fills up every 5 minutes of vacuuming if you have a pet that sheds.

    • @scottmarshall6766
      @scottmarshall6766 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DoresoomReviews You are right on that criticism. A minimum of double the volume would be helpful on the canister. At least it's easy to empty. (Compared to my HF Bauer hand vac, it's great) It's a big improvement over the old Dustbuster system where you have to remove and clean the filter every time. A lot of what I use mine for is cleaning up after my cat, who feels obliged to kick litter over the edge of a 12" deep pan. I empty after every cleanup there. The power and brush effectiveness of this machine is what sets it above the rest, but it coould use improvements. I think they made a mistake by trying to make it a hand-vac as well, although I do like to remove the head for shop cleanups.
      Maybe the reason the blower leaves me cold for cleaning is I've had compressed air in the shop forever, and rarely use it for cleaning the shop because it just throws so much junk in the air, only to land somewhere else. I've had the little blower in my hand several times, and just can't make the leap. I'm sure for some, it's great. I wish they had set it up as a dual function with a collection bag like the some of the big lawn blowers. I'd own one for sure.
      Thanks for the review and your reply.

    How do you think it would do for getting leaves off of a roof (not gutters, i have gutter guard). I have a large packback blower for yard work, but if this little guy could do the roof leaves that would be awesome.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is probably a little underpowered for getting leaves off a roof, especially if you just want to stay on the ladder and blow from there. If they're wet at all it definitely won't be up to the task.
      If you want to stick with Ryobi 18V, the Jet Fan blower is probably your best bet. You can get a refurb that comes with a 4Ah battery for $79 - www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-Reconditioned-ONE-100-MPH-280-CFM-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Leaf-Blower-4-0-Ah-Battery-and-Charger-Included-ZRP2180/207136528.
      Otherwise, I'd look at EGO. I just bought one of their refurb 530 CFM blowers on sale for $99 with a battery and charger, and used it for cleaning leaves and sticks out of my gutters: instagram.com/p/B5T9D6KgLzZ/

      I think the DeWalt has an extra extension nozzle, which is a nice extra especially if you're taller. This works well for quickly blowing out the garage, and the shorter nozzle works well for switching back and forth between a bench and the floor. But for larger areas like a driveway I found that even I had to stoop a little bit, and I'm only 5'3".

      - The Ryobi is cordless which is way more convenient
      - The Ryobi is much more powerful than a hairdryer when it comes to air volume. I did find a few hairdryers with specs of up around 80 mph nozzle speed, but it's hard to find CFM specifications for hairdryers.
      - Your wife/girlfriend won't get mad at you for stealing her hairdryer to use in the garage :)
