    For bench sweeping, get a nozzle from a tube of caulk and cut it down to fit inside the blow-up nozzle. This way you can get a more concentrated "jet" of air to blow off dust and particles for pennies.

    Just bought one to use to blow out the dust in my backhoe at work, getting it tomorrow. Seeing this video makes me know I made the right choice! Thanks! I bought a not so cheap little keyboard duster type rechargeable blower that is just too weak to be effective. Waste of money for what I needed it for. Saw this in another video and knew I had to get it. Cheers!

    Looking at this to replace the canned air duster. Mainly for my PC, would it work similarly?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but this inflator/blower has the potential to generate static electricity that canned air won't do. So make sure you keep it well away from any boards you don't want to zap!

    Two things I noticed that surprised me. Is there a small light inside the unit that you can see through one of the ports in the side? Mine also got pretty warm after about a minute or two of use. Just curious if this was normal, but otherwise I love how compact it is and the convenience of it being part of the Ryobi family.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      The one thing I'd be careful about when using this for cleaning out a PC is not to touch any internals with the nozzle and inadvertently cause a static shock. The rotation of the impeller can cause static buildup, which isn't a problem if you're using a can of compressed air.

    Hello, I bought this blower based on your review and love it! I got it for inflating paddle boards and kayak's.
    I find I use it more for blowing stuff off of my bench top tho! I saw you also did a review on the P755 "compact blower". How much more powerful do you think it is for the same applications? I own a EGO 56v blower so I won't need it for yard work. Also do you think the P755 could be used as a low pressure Inflator? I saw the DeWalt version of the P755 has an attachment for inflating/ deflating. Love your channel keep up the good work!

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use mine as a bench blower about 95% of the time too! The P755 might work as an inflator if you rigged up an adapter, but I think it would be a hassle to deal with. It definitely moves a lot more air than this inflator.

    I was fixing my Samsung clothes dryer when I decided I’d clean out all the lint and dust since it was all taken apart. The blower motor was so full of lint, I could hardly see the coils. I tried using an old toothbrush but that was too tedious and it wasn’t doing a good job. I reach for my can of air it was a little better but was concerned about the liquid occasionally squirting out on the coils. Then I remembered I have this! Now my machine looks newer on the inside than outside.

      They're for using with a biscuit or plate joiner like this one: th-cam.com/video/8yvlRycyEg4/w-d-xo.html
      You have to keep them dry and away from humid air because they swell when exposed to moisture. When you use them in a glue up, they expand in the slot and strengthen the joint.

      concetrated air usually means higher speeds@@DoresoomReviews

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I used concentrated to mean high speed airflow in a small area. Look at 4:14 where it's producing a fast enough air speed to deflect the skin on my hand. That's certainly powerful enough to blow water off a car. However, it's in an extremely small area - if you went over the entire surface area of your car with that, it would take forever. You need more CFM (or volumetric flow) of air to efficiently blow water off a car.

    • @DoresoomReviews

      No - the P737 tire inflator would take forever to inflate something like an air mattress. It's high pressure, low volume, while this inflator is high volume, low pressure. If you have the dual function P731, then you don't need this high volume inflator.

      I think it will handle 95% of what you can do with canned air. If you've got something really stuck, canned air might be able to get it moving where this one can't though. Also be careful of static sensitive applications with this Ryobi blower.

      @@DoresoomReviews i know. I turn ads off on my vids cause I know when I see them I just skip to the next vid. Was just giving u a heads up from 1 vid creator to the next. Studies show that most people will just click the back button and click on the next vid. I like your vids and wouldn't want u to lose anymore listeners for something so small. It had two 15 second vids I had to watch before it would play your vid smh. Most people won't sit through that. Imagine how many more views you'd have if that wasn't there. Just food for thought. I definitely appreciate the feedback! I don't think I've ever seen two 15 second ads when I watch TH-cam, so that's news to me. Maybe I'll play around with only skippable ads and see if there's a watch time difference.

      Only something like 0.5 PSI for this model, since it's a high volume, low pressure inflator. If you need to do tires, basketballs, etc. you'll need the P737 or P731 which both go to 150 PSI.

      +Daniel Gomez If you only plan on using it for inflating, then I'd skip this one, even though it's slightly faster at high volume applications than the dual purpose one is. However, I've found I use this inflator as a bench blower almost every time I'm out in the garage. The dual purpose isn't really suited for that, so I would definitely recommend this one as well if you'd be using it for that application.
