I imagine the rattling of the metal carabiner and eye bolt will be distracting and be recorded as well. Perhaps dip those parts in- "Plasti Dip" or something like that? Also, the flopping rope, but you could use a taut-line hitch (knot) to take up the slack. It's a great knot!
I'm a little bit sceptical I was hoping you where going to drive down the road at 60 Mpg and see if that magnet holds on with the camera swinging on the end of it. :)
He could also use a taut-line hitch to tie it to the carabiner. This knot slips the opposite direction, gathering slack, making the line 'taut'. Then it won't flop around and can be used in spaces where he needs or doesn't need the extra length.
Awesome idea! There's not always a spot to install a safety tie depending on where it's installed, so the magnet is perfect.
Thanks for your comment!
Man. That was perfect. Just what I needed. Thank you.
Why not double tether with two magnets? Then the camera won't go anywhere?

60 mpg is pretty good mileage for an SUV like that
Ouch, the paint!!
+MrRangerZr1 Did you even watch the video? He places a foam pad on the magnet to prevent any scratches on the paint.
Yes I did watch the video. Did you see the gopro swing on the paint? If you didn't, watch the video.
+MrRangerZr1 Ohh, didn't notice that. Thanks for the explanation. My bad.
Interesting video, also what type of vehicle is that?
+GoPro. Musica It's a Honda Odyssey van

+Edmund Mendez Thanks for your comment!
that link can also break
so far , ive seen nobody wrapping the whole metal tether around the whole action cam
I would make the cord way shorter => less damage on the car ;)

Nice video :) as always
+Sunny Sharif Thanks for your comment!
Or you could just tie it around your wing mirror.
Great video
+nitrous07me Thanks for your comment!
Why not use the magnetic base, more safe.
Just tie the damn thing to the side mirror.. pointless and waste of money.
