hello how are you good afternoon !! First of all, I congratulate you, I loved your video and the truth is that as I ride a motorcycle, I thought this was a great idea of the magnet, I have some questions, the video does not show, but how did you glue the Gopro mount the magnet? ??, and another question, what type and brand of super glue did you use? , thanks for your support !! 👍
+Jesus Salgueiro (Zeus) Thanks! I'll be posting an update with a 405lbs pull magnet (amzn.to/1oGV6IC) on a small airplane. Better nylon ball head with full articulation (amzn.to/1QmWHL5). Cost around $40 to make and I'm betting it would hold up to over 200mph on sheet metal. The GoPro housing would likely break before the magnet released on dense metal.
This is an awesome DIY...Thanks! Can this rubber be found locally like home depot? I wanna do this in the next few days and dont wanna wait for shipping.
+Ray Rivera Thanks! I'm not sure if the SBR can be found easily locally. I'm sure you could find an alternative. It only took like 3 days for me to get it from Amazon though.
im about make this from an old car speaker magnet but im concerned about magnetic field ,will it affect the gopro in anyway or maybe cause some damage to the electronical components inside the camera ? the car speaker magnet is around 10cm in diameter and 2cm thick so its quite powerfull .
LOL I have this....but it very hard to pull off almost impossible and my magnet was totally stuck on my bonnet for 2 months until I ask my strong brother to pull out...never again. I use suction from now on...
+79stanger “Scout” vibration isn't bad (almost zero on my car). I took the still shot in the thumbnail using it and it is pretty sharp and was like a 4 second exposure.
Had to go fast to get the lights to blur across the whole top half of the image during the exposure (took me a couple times to get it right). If you look at my car (the object it was attached to: imageshack.com/a/img923/4556/TDo056.jpg) its sharp, no shake. The rubber base of it really helps reduce vibration. You can see it in action in a vlog I posted here: hth-cam.com/video/knD6mtX4cb0/w-d-xo.htmlm
Her saying Hi is the cutest part. I hit rewind multiple times.

That's why you need to use the rubber, makes it super easy to pull off.
What a great idea!!!
Hey...i think magnet can ruin the camera??
Help me out to figure this...
I think I would put some super glue onto the Gopro adhesive as well.
Do you have footage of this mounted to a vehicle? I would like to try this on my motorcycle, but am worried about vibration.

That's pretty damn stable. I definitely need to try this out.
Did you test the speed with your car on mount?
+Attila Tóth I did, up to 125mph!
How did you make the light blue?
What blue light?
+Tyco Tech Reviews the GoPro one
At what time in the video?
@@tycotech I think he means at 5:56 lol
Nice :)
Links dont work!
Only the 1st link didn't work (it actually works, but there weren't the parts listed there). I fixed it, thanks for the heads up.
Good idea but spreading super glue with bare finger, not so good.
