Back in the early 90s I thought it would be a great idea to take my 32 west sail and go from Japan to Vancouver via dutch harbor instead of finishing my solo circumnavigation. After the pacific run and even thought out Asia this Idea grew until I just had to do it. Hard going but I look back with zero regrets. Great videos guys im enjoying them. My family and I are about to take possession of a new vessel a Amel 53. So new journeys and laughter to be had. I can share this life on the sea with my two boys..

Malin - my first mate (and wife) Julie also gets a little scarred when the wind reaches 27 - 28 knots and higher. I say "just trust the boat - she will look after us" and so far she has! Wow! Extraordinary adventure! You are brave mens. I have lived a year in Ushuaia in 2000, repairing planes. In summer, the wind can blow 40 knots during 1 week non stop. I have flying the coast of Tierra del Fiego in light planes, raging sea is the normal condition.

I loved the Viking look..... must have been pre marriage days.. Your Carter 33 Concubine was of particular interest to me as I have a Carter 33 (Australian Production Version). Mine is a last of the series known as a Passage 33 where by reducing the cockpit size and slightly pushing the companionway forward they managed to make it a centre cockpit with a rather pleasant aft cabin. I am looking forward to the other two parts.
It certainly was pre-marriage days! Haha! The Carter Concubine was built by North Shore yachts in England if I remember correctly. I think it is the same shipyard who make the Southerly yachts nowadays... Thanks for watching!

maybe save a decent amount of footage you'll release later on youtube When you hit some milestones like 50,000 subs and share other stuff with your Patreon's. Not many people sail the areas you have. I think you could save a bunch of footage and release it over time. I know everyone is interested in seeing more but don't just show everything in this series. I'd much rather wait to see that footage than every other sailing posting videos of the tropics. I mean how many people have sailed where you have!!! Not many! Save a bunch of footage to release later or when you meet you with other youtubers show them unseen footage and show short clips with them it. You need to build your channel and doing videos with other sailing youtube channels will help. Once you cross the Atlantic I'm sure you'll meet up with other youtubers. Just my $.02!
It is a great idea to combine three episodes together. This way more people will see more sailing trips of you. I like also the fixing of the stove, it is really important to have boiling and hot cooking stuff securely.
Malin looked pretty cool in those eyeglasses... I'm wondering if they worked to prevent seasickness…I think Johan is extremely courageous and fearless for doing the passage to Antarctica... Glad you like them! We try to fly the drone whenever the wind and places allows it! We're a bit hesitant though as we're afraid of crashing it... :-)
