I love this arc so much, it's one of the most adventurous where the crew really has to face the unknown; and it's so inspired, with the Knock-Up Stream, the Cumuloregalis Clouds, the City of Gold, the Sky Island... So great! It deserve way more credit than what it already has.

Jason's version of Mihawk for Halloween will be "My-Hawk." I love how this arc has so much anticipation because they're going to this wonderous unknown place above the clouds. It adds to that sense of adventure and discovery.

AT Alabasta, when luffy met Ace, Ace told him that he's searching a man named " Blackbeard", because Blackbeard betrayed Whitebeard and killed a member of his own crew. So the pie guy " Blackbeard""is actually the man who Ace ( luffy's brother) is searching for.
Now we go to one of the most lore intensive arcs of the series. Many put Skypiea in a lower tier than Alabasta due to less of an emotional content in terms of the Strawhats' personal feelings. It does not have the Vivi, or Chopper or Nami emotions in the story. However, the lore building of this arc is insane. There is a TH-cam content creator who only reading up to Skypiea was able to accurately predict some of the biggest events of the most recent post 1000 chapters (.... of Liberation), just by looking at the clues in this arc. She is something special in her ability to pull out so much from the story but it does show just how much clues and lore is buried in these episodes if one is willing to dig deep to understand it. Originally, I also did not feel Skypiea as being as impactful as some of the other arcs such as Alabasta and some of the arcs that occur after Skypiea. However, after realizing just how much lore is in this arc and how that impacts the story in general, this has become one of my favorite arcs.
Fun Fact: - Heaven (heofon) means Sky - Sky is a word for cloud - Heaven and Sky, both words mean celestial which in modern English is also a word for ceiling So In Other Words, The Straw Hats are on top of One Piece World's Ceiling.
The idea of taking luffy or any high bounty is going to be used by blackbeard to prove the goverment that he deserves warlord spot that crocodile left. Thats what lafitte mwamr in marygoise when he proposed BB as replacement on previous episode
In the previous ep Lafitte went to propose Blackbeard as the new War Lord. When the government guy told him they couldn't make an unknown guy a War Lord, Lafitte said they knew and that they were working on it. That's why Blackbeard was going after Luffy at the end, beating a guy with a 100 million bounty would make him famous.
3:18 One Punch! The manga to which One Punch Man refers and the JUSTICE that Oda loves are based on the same. It sings of Buddhist philosophy; "I don't want to live a life where I can't ask myself what I was born for, what I do for a living. The reason Oda never Mentioned Esteban, is because if he say it, people will look it up and get spoiler to One Piece, because many moments of One Piece happened in Esteban.

But one of the big ones comes right after sky island. You need to play close attention in water seven couse things get most complicated here. It gets resolved by enies lobby but the complication was for me a drop out point. But it pays off extremely well! Though there was never once again a drop out point later. 😉 So yeah, Water Seven and his follow up are probably whats best in one piece until you reach Marineford. Its not a spoiler you can look the arcs up. Watch out for the pidgeon guy! You see a man that looks like Harvey Keitels character in "taxi driver". Shows you what a man of culture Oda is. And you will have fun with another big man in Long Ring Longland. Goodies in terms of world building and deepens the lore..
True honesty the rough translation of the opening theme is terrible. The song makes no sense translated and has no relevance to the story, it's just for fun. BUT wait for Bink's Sake, that song has some meaning....
