I commend John Lloyd Young for his energetic and wonderful portrayal of Frankie Valli and Vincent Piazza for his incredibly believable performance as Tommy Devito. He was so good that it almost seemed real. Both of them were.
+MuricaNetwork yeah me too :). Usually I can't stand swearing, but once I heard it was about these guys, well...swearing? what swearing? I only hear a great story and even better music.
(giggle) Nice. I felt the same way. As credits rolled the first time I saw the movie, I remember thinking, "Don't go. I want to follow more of your story."
Fun fact in case you guys don't know. This song is about Bob Gaudio losing his virginity. Remember that scene in the movie? He wrote this song afterwards. Listen to the lyrics. "As I recall it ended much too soon" "Oh what a night"
actually his girlfriend (now wife) wrote the lyrics that got onto the record. he came up with the tune, but his lines were so corny that frankie and the rest of the band refused to record it. that night, judy parker wrote some new lyrics, and they recorded the song the next day.
+Coley Durham "Jersey Boys is a 2014 American biographical musical drama film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood based on the Tony Award winning jukebox musical of the same name." - Idiot.
You know what would've made this ending killer? When the do-do-dos started the real Frankie Valli should've come out and joined John Lloyd Young singing along. I would say all the original four seasons should have come out, but with Nick Massi having passed away, it would've been awkward if 3 of the 4 came out. But they totally could've brought out Frankie to dance and sing along to this ending. That would've been so awesome
I prefer the movie to the musical because the songs don’t move the story forward in the movie and instead they’re just there as a feature in the story like a musical biopic should be (like Bohemian Rhapsody). And the performances are really solid! Especially Vincent Piazza as Tommy Devito
I'm glad they made a movie of Jersey Boys. The actual Broadway has closed nearly everywhere except on tour. This movie is perfect for those who can't afford to go to the play and watch the movie at home.
+M. Stearnes I totally believe I was born in the wrong generation :( of course SOME music today are on par with the music from those days but then there are the justin Bebbers and other "artists" that you just have to shake your head at. About 99% of my favorite artists are "oldies" ones and when I looked them up and they show how they looked when they were younger, I thought that there was hope for my generation, so I thought for example, that Harry Belafonte was maybe 30's-40's at the oldest. But then I heard he's in his 90's...that's great for him but boy was I wrong...
I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought....since Walken is playing a classy, smooth, and rich mob guy so If he starts to break out dancing, he might break character.
I've watched this movie w/ subtitles. This made it neat (especially in this scene) to see the little exchanges between characters, that were muffled by the music & singing. For instance, Nick telling Joey that the latter owed him money. Or when Gyp is fixing Tommy's tie, telling him he looked "marvelous".
Well most people that saw the musical play, thought the movie was going to be the same way music , followed by drama, this is drama followed up by music.. The musical play gave you some idea of theirs , but not fully..so the movie gave what happened, and very little music..out of 77 top 100 Bill Broad list ..
Lyrics: Sherry, Sherry Baby, Sherry, Sherry Baby Frankie: Sherry baby Rest: Sherry, Sherry Baby. Sherry Baby Sherry, Can you come out tonight? Oh, What a night! Late December back in '63 What a very special time for me As I remember What a Night! Oh, What a night! You know I didn't even know her name But I was never gonna be the same What a lady what a night (Movie: Oh! Instead of Night) Oh I I got a funny feeling when she walked in the room And I As I recall it ended much too soon Oh, What a night! Why'd it take so long to see the light? Seems so wrong but now it seems so right Sweet Surrender What a night! I felt the rush like a rolling bolt of thunder Spinning my head around and taking my body under Oh, What a night! Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do x10 Oh, What a Night!
I love this song so much! I saw the Jersey Boys at the west end on new years eve (2016), and it was fantastic!!! This song was the highlight of the show! This film scene is so brilliant! I love it! The best end credits to a film ever!!
I love this movie sooo much. It was is my only chance to see Jersey Boys over and over again and to see John Lloyd Young. I just got a taste of the broadway show at Broadway on the Boardwalk in AC and now I am dying to see the show in New York. Man I wish that I was a millionaire:P
Vincent Piazza, who plays Lucky Luciano from Boardwalk Empire, brought me here. Now, I've been watching Jersey Boys videos and listening to the Four Seasons these past few days. I gotta check this movie out
Victoria Vasquez because one is an entity that rose through adversity to carve a career in music and through struggle and hard work managed to cement themselves as integral part of the psyche of the American songbook and the other is a bastardisation and firivolisation of that story...?
I wonder if this is one of those things where if you look hard enough you can see one or more of the actual "Jersey Boys" dancing. That would be AWESOME!
Mikayla Powell Why thank you, so do you! Wanted to see him in the stage version so bad, but he had left the show before I could. Maybe one day he will be back again. ( In case you didn't know, he originated the role on Broadway and won a Tony for it.):D
Oh my Gosh ! I love him even more now than I did before. I heard quite a few people say that he sounds nothng like Frankie Valli . Personally , I strongly disagree with them. I remember when they came to Richmond , but I couldn't attend a show because I had the flu.
Now that's what I call a great ending!

My parents saw this movie last night & my dad wouldn't stop singing the high notes......
It's incredible, that he can reach them.
Isabella Fondino(giggle) Please, tell me you've got this on tape.
Isabella Fondino Do you think you could make him do that again, & get it on tape then?
Danielle Musella Probably not. Why?
Isabella Fondino Just curious. I know it made you laugh.
This has to be one of my favorite movie/musicals ever
Ali Suchanek Same
Same
Alisthis mine 2’ my favorites are Aladdin phantom of the opera and jersey boys
I commend John Lloyd Young for his energetic and wonderful portrayal of Frankie Valli and Vincent Piazza for his incredibly believable performance as Tommy Devito. He was so good that it almost seemed real. Both of them were.
I'm not sure why, but Erich Bergen's performance really stands out to me in this movie.
Matthew Cuella
Matthew Cuell
He’s so good
He's better than John
My parents dragged me to this movie when it came out lol and I ended up loving it
+MuricaNetwork yeah me too :). Usually I can't stand swearing, but once I heard it was about these guys, well...swearing? what swearing? I only hear a great story and even better music.
huge shoutout to your parents
lol same then I loved it
Same
Same here
As I recall this movie ended much to soon
lol so true
(giggle) Nice. I felt the same way. As credits rolled the first time I saw the movie, I remember thinking, "Don't go. I want to follow more of your story."
So did the band R.I.P
Funnily enough one of the major criticisms of this movie is the lengthy run time😂
I can't get enough of this song. Absolutely brilliant
Fun fact in case you guys don't know. This song is about Bob Gaudio losing his virginity. Remember that scene in the movie? He wrote this song afterwards. Listen to the lyrics. "As I recall it ended much too soon" "Oh what a night"
Yup that's true at least I knew that
Too much information.
It's the funniest scene in the stage show :')
actually his girlfriend (now wife) wrote the lyrics that got onto the record. he came up with the tune, but his lines were so corny that frankie and the rest of the band refused to record it. that night, judy parker wrote some new lyrics, and they recorded the song the next day.
Wish they had done a totally acapella version of Sherry. That would be a perfect song for acapella.
Where is the love for Vincent Piazza? Man is awesome is this film :) love the guy in this and Boardwalk Empire xo
Just watched this movie last night. The musical numbers are way better & livelier than the movie itself.
+Coley Durham "Jersey Boys is a 2014 American biographical musical drama film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood based on the Tony Award winning jukebox musical of the same name." - Idiot.
.
Loved the Hollywood big finale.
This film literally changed my view of musicals. 31 years old and never seen anything like it. Amazing!
Man I just love Erich Bergen's voice
Shelby Henderson same
They did an amazing job with this movie. I think was at one point my favorite movie. I am so watching this tonight
Anyone else actually get chills at 1:38 💘
Yes, damn drafty apartment.
Congrats the 4 seasons they will get a star on the walk of fame today and happy 90th bd to frankie and may nick and tommy keep r.i.p. ❤
It's moments like this that remind us of the meaning of the phrase "Movie Magic". I love this film.
Thank you Anthony for sharing this wonderful finale!!!! I could watch it over and over again!!
Whoever choreographed this was a genius!
Absolutely LOVE this movie... Wish I had gotten to see the Broadway play too. Yay Four Seasons 4-ever
I prefer the movie to the musical because the songs don’t move the story forward in the movie and instead they’re just there as a feature in the story like a musical biopic should be (like Bohemian Rhapsody). And the performances are really solid! Especially Vincent Piazza as Tommy Devito
Best movie ending ever.
Seen it twice on Broadway. Probably the best on Broadway.
I'm glad they made a movie of Jersey Boys. The actual Broadway has closed nearly everywhere except on tour. This movie is perfect for those who can't afford to go to the play and watch the movie at home.
GREAT PICTURE, GREAT MUSIC OF COURSE. OUR ERA
I totally enjoy this. Great performance of a time once past.
+M. Stearnes I totally believe I was born in the wrong generation :( of course SOME music today are on par with the music from those days but then there are the justin Bebbers and other "artists" that you just have to shake your head at. But then I heard he's in his 90's...that's great for him but boy was I wrong...
Poor Christopher Walken be like "I'm too old for this." Poor guy, being stuck in the very back.
I know right
I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought....since Walken is playing a classy, smooth, and rich mob guy so If he starts to break out dancing, he might break character.
he actually rehearsed with the cast thinking that he was going to do the dancing.. but yeah.. he got stuck with the granddad moves.
Walken would have been like 'Needs more cow bell!!!"
Stephen Martin YUSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are right, it's a great ending! Love watching them dance and sing. I'm in total love with John Lloyd Young!😍
No u can't have John Lloyd Young he is mine and I am his girlfriend. John Lloyd Young is my cutey
same
I've watched this movie w/ subtitles. This made it neat (especially in this scene) to see the little exchanges between characters, that were muffled by the music & singing. For instance, Nick telling Joey that the latter owed him money. Or when Gyp is fixing Tommy's tie, telling him he looked "marvelous".
Now if only the movie was as exciting as this....The Broadway show is so much better!
It's not a musical, It's a drama and the story of there lives , how it began..NOT A MUSICAL !!
Did I say it was a musical? No, I don't believe I did.
Well most people that saw the musical play, thought the movie was going to be the same way music , followed by drama, this is drama followed up by music.. The musical play gave you some idea of theirs , but not fully..so the movie gave what happened, and very little music..out of 77 top 100 Bill Broad list ..
You are compairing between the Musical and Movie, to different entrys

Brilliant movie of the legend's life. Clint Eastwood did a savage job. Thank God Joe Pesci discovered them
Ugh the sax transition was perfection!

Any teen this is music..😊🙂
I've watched this movie on my flight back to Japan, and their songs are still ringing in my head...
Arguably one of the greatest musical films ever
Now that's what I call a song
Lyrics:
Sherry, Sherry Baby, Sherry, Sherry Baby
Frankie: Sherry baby
Rest: Sherry, Sherry Baby. Sherry Baby
Sherry, Can you come out tonight?
Oh, What a night!
Late December back in '63
What a very special time for me
As I remember
What a Night!
Oh, What a night!
You know I didn't even know her name
But I was never gonna be the same
What a lady what a night (Movie: Oh! Instead of Night)
Oh I
I got a funny feeling when she walked in the room
And I
As I recall it ended much too soon
Oh, What a night!
Why'd it take so long
to see the light?
Seems so wrong but
now it seems so right
Sweet Surrender
What a night!
I felt the rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Spinning my head around and taking my body under
Oh, What a night!
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do x10
Oh, What a Night!
squad goals
squad goals for life
Christopher Walken 2:10-2:12 get downs ! Lol :D
No, he's just Walken here!
Lmao
Never saw the play but I enjoyed this scene in the movie. I saw it last night
I will always see this as Charlie Luciano jumping and singing around. Makes it 100x funnier.
I still can’t believe Walkin was able to do this flawlessly and not hurt himself.
I love this song so much! I saw the Jersey Boys at the west end on new years eve (2016), and it was fantastic!!! This song was the highlight of the show! This film scene is so brilliant! I love it! The best end credits to a film ever!!
Doesn't matter how many times I see this, I laugh every time at the 1:42 mark. He's rocking that tambourine!
I've never seen this before :DD It's awesome :DDD

I love this movie sooo much. It was is my only chance to see Jersey Boys over and over again and to see John Lloyd Young. I just got a taste of the broadway show at Broadway on the Boardwalk in AC and now I am dying to see the show in New York. Man I wish that I was a millionaire:P

Absolutely fantastic.
So true
Vincent Piazza, who plays Lucky Luciano from Boardwalk Empire, brought me here. Now, I've been watching Jersey Boys videos and listening to the Four Seasons these past few days. I gotta check this movie out

Erich Bergen though....like hot damn xD
Great cast lots of talent!
Absolutely fantastic

You mean you love Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
Leslie Cunnian Why not both?

Oh my Gosh ! I love him even more now than I did before. I heard quite a few people say that he sounds nothng like Frankie Valli . Personally , I strongly disagree with them. I remember when they came to Richmond , but I couldn't attend a show because I had the flu.
