I purchased my 2023 Outer Bend off the lot and it didn't have the AUX switches as part of the build. I really wanted the factory look and eventually found the video @Middleton Motorsports put out on the install. After watching it several times, I sent some emails to Middleton on questions I had. They responded quickly and completely. Early last week, I made the decision to purchase the complete kit from @Middleton Motorsports and it arrived the other day. Yesterday afternoon, I installed the kit and tested it with some lights--works brilliantly. No programming or anything else needed. The kit came with the replacement fuse/distribution box, wiring harness, and the upfitter switches for the console. The video was VERY helpful in getting through the install. It's quite easy and I'm so glad I did mine this way. Yes, it was expensive, but since the AUX switches weren't part of my build and I wanted the factory look the easiest way possible, this solutions was my best bet. Anyway, I would highly recommend this solution, as it just worked.
This definitely a 100% top notch video. I can't imaging what the labor cost would be for a dealer/shop to do this for you. This is why I ordered mine with these switches. Whew!
Thanks for the video. Looking into this for my 2023 OBX. That said, it has power visors (lights), so does this mean that I need the fuse box (i checked this so i know i need it) and then the overhead switches. But I don’t need the harness, i’d just reinstall the one i have. i don’t see a harness with power for the visors and doesn’t have the upfitter as well.
Video doesn't make it look as bad as expected. Especially when you snap out the old box and snap in the new, that was the part that worried me the most. Come back with a decent price and I may end up doing this on the brother in laws Bronco for him. Thanks for the video.
This is a great thorough video. Extremely helpful. Just one piece of criticism: he says not to over tighten the bolts on the fuse box as you are going into plastic however, please note that if you do not tighten them enough, your car will have no power. I was scratching my head on this for 2 days. I read on a forum that just about everyone who attempted this installation themselves ran into this same issue. MAKE SURE YOU PUSH DOWN HARD ON THE BOLTS WHEN TIGHTENING THEM. They will jump a few times until they eventually catch and get nice and snug. It’s at this time point you should be careful not to over tighten. The other thing I’d like to mention is I broke one of my bolts holding the airbag setting my torque wrench to 9nm. So I think the actual setting should be more like 5nm.
You need to make sure they fully seat but once the connectors are seated you don't want to overtighten them. You can tell by how many turns it takes to remove them and install them. If the connector isn't lined up properly it will not pull into the fuse box.
We have sold 20+ of these units and the couple times it didn't work was when the connectors were not seated into the fuse box before tightening the screws. Both were fixed when the customers went back and made sure that the connectors were seated properly. We offer free support on these products so anyone having questions during install can call us at 608-831-7725
Had been thinking of doing this myself since my dealer somehow had my switches removed from my order even though they are on my window sticker! I ended up with a Switch Pros S9100 set up instead!
There were some components Ford was removing during assembly that could be installed later when components were available. For example, some Explorer trims that came with heated rear seats and rear climate control from factory had all the components for the heated rear seats and rear climate except for the module that gave the rear passengers access to those controls. There were other models that had other missing components and when parts became available, Ford released recalls to owners of affected vehicles so they could have their features working. Check to see if you have such a recall/notice. It was either this or vehicles sat in a storage yard waiting for these parts and owners complain that its taking to long to get their vehicle. There always the possibility of a misbuild, even though it's optioned, the feature just never got installed. Both of these scenarios would have nothing to do with the dealer.
Excellent video, TYVM for posting it, very helpful. Could you also please add instructions on programming the computer? I understand programming is technically not needed, but I do not want to be denied warranty service because there is a BCMC disagreement code.
At 14:59 you reference a “rain light sensor”. Can you explain that? I’m only aware of the crash-collision radar sensor underneath the windshield glass (with the “bars” on it”. Thanks and great video.
I think with some digging around and removal of the sunglass holder only , you could find switches just like this and find something to mount in that same spot that looks factory. Maybe even use the inside of the sunglass holder to make some stealth switches that you can just open it and use them when needed and close it when not needed.
hello!! I too will be ordering this kit from you because of your time and energy put into this video. I had 1 question before hitting the order button from your link. Does the wire harness in your kit have all options? vanity lights option?
Is there a way to remove the center interior trim piece at 11:46 without doing the side trims and A pillar trims and harness? I'm just trying to replace the 5 weather seal bolts that run across the windshield frame. They have a backing nut on the interior covered by the center trim piece.
6/29/23 - I just installed this kit i bought from you guys, after changing the fusebox and my front windows don't drop to clear the rubber seals when opened, and my automatic front driver and passenger windows open but in they don't do the automatic closing with 1 click of the switch like they use to..... NEED HELP HERE! should I return the kit for refund?
Yes it is, The only place it is not wired properly is from the Aux Switch Upfitter panel and the fuse box that needs to be swapped out. The rest of the wiring is all there.
Overhead Trim Panel: M2DZ-78519A70-JC (Includes 6 Aux Switches) A-Pillar Wire Harness: M2DZ-14335-C Fuse Junction Panel Assembly (Fuse Box): MB3Z-14A068-NBA These are the 3 part numbers for the parts we used.
Are you sure this is the right part numbers? We used these numbers and we are pretty sure this fuse box is incorrect. It didnt look any different than the factory fuse box as in no extra prongs etc. for different fuses. We are a Ford dealership in Canada trying this solution for a customer and my service department is suggesting I order a different fuse box now that we installed the one posted and they are not working.
Would that new harness be the same harness in the base model if it came with aux switches for the factory? Reason I ask is if the new harness has provisions for auto dimming mirror than maybe I can add one to my base model that has aux switches if it has the same new harness you’re using. Thanks.
We use the Curt plug and play kit on all of our bronco's with led lights! Otherwise you have to run wires to each taillight wire for the non-led broncos.
Very informative video. Could use better lighting in some sections where it was hard to see what you were doing. Also, Ford part numbers for these parts would be useful. Thanks!

Question I have a base model. Your system is plug n play system, do the Bronco's come pre wired for Aux lights because I found some wiring harnesses that are not connected to anything?
That was a top notch video .Explained everything in detail and left no questions .
Much appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you’re happy with your purchase. 👍🏻
My outer banks (Lux/Premium) came with the correct fusebox panel from the factory) I ordered the switches and harness but haven't put them in yet.
I have an Outer Banks with the High Package / Lux - do I need the harness as well?
How much did it all cost?
Love it! I’m ordering from you guys instead of my local dealer just because took the time to put this together!
Awesome! Thank you!
Just did this install this weekend. It's pretty straightforward. Follow the video and take your time.

Love the bronco instructional videos you all put together
holy crap $1000 plus the time to do it so glad I checked that $195 box lol

Finally an option for the broncos without the switches
Great Video! The AUX switches are the one thing that's missing on my Base Bronco.

We have a cheaper option in the works for a switch assembly similar to what you recommend. Just running into some issues of making it look proper.
@@mm_noah7062 I'm already doing an Aux beam stealth switch panel using the inside of the sunglass holder. Will turn out great when I finish it.
hello!! I too will be ordering this kit from you because of your time and energy put into this video. I had 1 question before hitting the order button from your link. Does the wire harness in your kit have all options? vanity lights option?
It comes as a complete unit with the lights and all the options

Where do I buy that "needle nose screwdriver" you referenced at 5:06? Probably a Snap-On thing...
😂 Sometimes you say the wrong thing! Thanks for pointing that out! Hope the video helped you out!
Is the AUX switch wiring installed throughout the vehicle even in Broncos that did not select the switch option?
Yes it is, The only place it is not wired properly is from the Aux Switch Upfitter panel and the fuse box that needs to be swapped out. The rest of the wiring is all there.
Does this harness have provisions for auto dimming mirror and vanity mirror lights?
Overhead Trim Panel: M2DZ-78519A70-JC (Includes 6 Aux Switches)
A-Pillar Wire Harness: M2DZ-14335-C
Fuse Junction Panel Assembly (Fuse Box): MB3Z-14A068-NBA

M2DZ-14335-J replaces the a pillar wire harness you listed.

We’ll check into the wiring diagrams and get back to you.
@@MiddletonMotorsportswell?
Any updates?
@@kckgtp it’s not the same
It looks like you’re replacing an the wiring harness with the same wiring harness. Is that correct or am I missing something?
You should figure out a factory tow wiring kit also

Do you have a kit for this available yet? Or the ford part numbers for these 3 pieces?

Who makes the torque wrench ?
Snap On
I have an outer banks lux high package , do i just need harness and switches?
Check your fuses vs the onboard owner’s manual. If the fuses are there, you need not purchase and install the replacement.
So it does not require programming? Only need to instal the 3 parts?
Correct
@@MiddletonMotorsports thank you so much for the amazing video!! greetings from Saudi Arabia 👋
What's is the part numbers so I can order?
does it work the same thing with the f-150 lariat ?
We haven’t tested yet
Question I have a base model. Your system is plug n play system, do the Bronco's come pre wired for Aux lights because I found some wiring harnesses that are not connected to anything?
This video was on a base model. The wiring was in there from the factory just not the switches and fuse box to support it. Our kit allows it to work.
@@MiddletonMotorsports is your kit still available?
Will this kit work on 2024 F-150s?
we haven't tested that yet. might be a good idea for us to test if it would fit into an f150. Thanks
Did you need to program it in the end? And do you guys sell the kit?
No programming needed. We have a kit on our website.
Just option the $195 Aux switches from Ford when ordering your Bronco😂
